Only just clicked that my journal will have to delay by a day in my time zone - I'm in New Zealand 🤦I should clue in sooner by now - our daughter has been living over your end of the world for well over a year haha.
I'm just starting with junk journals. Watching you put one together today was very helpful. Also your comments about using things in our style and colors.
I select a general time to work on my jjjanuary- Late afternoon. I have a look at the next day’s prompt so that I can have it simmer in my mind. I feel more prepared that way. I will be collecting my materials as you suggested Meg. I think that will help. I often peter out around week 3, put it away and return to it a month later to finish the prompts. But this challenge I plan to push myself and complete it during January.
Im not sure ive every made something that quick, I am an over thinker and over doer I am going to try my best not to let that happen in this Journal. Thank you for all the great suggestions,.
I am putting together a small journal. I plan on page with collage. I love your pages and will take the lead and tweak alityke, to not feel stuck. Can't wait for this month. 😊
Junk Journal July 2023 was my first time joining. I knew I couldn't do every this daily so I planned to do 2-3 a day when I could. For JJ January 2024 , I am making a list of the prompts and the first ideas that come to mind. I see a few that will be completed on the same page.
I love watching you create. I have a journal I made for July and never got started with the prompts. Just too much going on so I will use it for January!!
I had to laugh when you mentioned the stencil you used with the white acrylic paint. I love that stencil and bought the closest thing I could find when the challenge was over! 😊
Thank you for that reminder... I'm now creating my journal for January from a small notebook, size A6 and I will buy some more glue sticks. I've lowered my expectations and looking forward to just having some creative fun. 😊
Hi! Love this challenge! Just joined! Maybe it's too late but I was wondering how many pages do you recommend for the journal? Or perhaps the answer is closer to the end😊 just didn't wanted to forget!
So inspiring Meg!!!! I really like your style! I’m so excited about this challenge! I started it last year. I didn’t complete it but it was so much fun!!!!
I’m fairly new and still struggle with pages. I’m sorry if this was asked already. Any tips on how to use the prompts for your pages? I’m at a loss as I’m having creating blocks which is my biggest struggle lol 😊
Hi Meg. I’m new to your channel and have joined up for the January challenge. I’m quite new to JJ though. I’m wanting to make my journal for January like yours so could you please tell me how many pieces of paper did you put in this journal? Thanks😊
Thank you for the video, I found it really helpful and inspirational. I’ve also watched the kit one which was also great. I was wondering roughly what size your journal is? Thank you
I really like your style but it's hard for me to leave mine , but I try 💪🏼I would like to understand everything you say but but my native language is Spanish and I don't understand English very well 😥
I am working on making a journal for this exciting challenge. When you did a flip though I counted that you had 13 pieces of paper to make up your pages. Is this a standard to follow? Thank you.
Love watching your video. You create so effortlessly. Will we be able to view the videos at our convenience or do we have to watch at the designated time??
I’m so excited to start my practice in January! I’ve already completed the journal I plan to use and posted a video flip-through on my UA-cam channel if you care to check it out. Thanks so much for the inspiration!!
I tried to find the printable pages you used in your journal, but cannot find / access them. Can you provide that link, please? I got the prompts and found the list of instructors.
Hi Meg it's Suzanne here, I have joined your January journal but Messyart want me to subscribe to for a monthly or yearly subscription. I can't afford this so can't I start this journaling in January. Suzanne Dent
Hi Suzanne! No everything for JJJ is completely free and you don’t need to sign up at all if you don’t want to, just follow along with the prompts on my Instagram! It’s just an option if you’d like to get a free printable and join the live event (which I couldn’t do without the help of Get Messy!) It will always be free ☺️
I didn't notice that. But if I did, it's okay. I'm sure that it's not easy to make these videos, and all crafters who make videos have their little ways of talking. We all do. Bet you do, too. Don't pick on this lady for something so insignificant, and just enjoy what she is doing.

When i get stuck, i search the definition of the prompt, like resolution, i dont do resolutions but some of the synonyms gave me ideas
Such a great tip!
Hi Meg. I’m new to your channel and have joined up for the January challenge. I’m quite new to JJ though. I’m wanting to make my journal for January like yours so could you please tell me how many pieces of paper did you put in this journal? Thanks😊
Depends on the papers and how thick they are! Around 10 😊
Can you do video on negative probability and how it might explain the Bell Inequalities? (Perhaps you already did )
no, this isn't a math channel😅
Well, gee, Richard Feynman was interested in it regarding its applicability to physics. What do you think about that?@@megjournals
Thank you for the video, I found it really helpful and inspirational. I’ve also watched the kit one which was also great. I was wondering roughly what size your journal is? Thank you
Glad you liked it! Roughly 17 x 11 cm, give or take - no measuring over here when I made it, just eyeballed it🤣

Wonderful ~ I’ve signed up & excited to start. I’m thinking we need to have our covers & pages in place before our first prompt?
🩵 thank you
You can do yes but take it at your own pace and what works for you!
