    Such a great video. Love the envelope tip. So clever. I absolutely love the printing on the tracing paper. I had to stop in the middle of your video to go to the lady doing the tutorial. Wow, I am thrilled to bits. It is so easy and it worked brilliantly for me, and it looks fabulous. I did come back to watch the end of your video. Many thanks for sharing. Debs. ❤

      Ooh yes vellum is a great choice! I like the tracing paper as it's a bit thinner. Thanks for watching :)

    I've been printing some images on clear sticker paper to avoid the need to fussy cut so closely around them, but I like the look of the tracing paper so much more! Thanks for sharing.

    Best tip so far for Junk Journal January 2024: Printing flowers onto tracing paper. I tried it with old tracing paper (the ink smeared on the bottom flowers) and newer tracing paper which worked a lot better. I like pictures of weathered windows. I think printing weathered windows on tracing could have a future... Thank you for the tip.

    I’ll have to try tracing paper again and doing it your way with gluing it around the edges. I tried just putting a piece through. That was a huge mistake. I was pulling out all kinds of little pieces of torn tracing paper, and then trying to put them together like a puzzle to make sure I got it all. There was one piece I never found, but that was months ago and my printer seems to be working fine, but I never found that one piece. It prints on vellum fine but I guess the tracing paper was a little too thin.

      What a great idea. Did you just use a glue stick to attach the tracing paper? I’m wondering if baking paper would work. Your page looks beautiful 😊

      @@debwood5032 Yes! Mits used one of those glue rollers which means less risk of crinkles, but it seemed ok! Baking paper is a fab idea!

      @@megjournals Well I tried it with parchment paper & it was a failure it jammed up in my printer maybe I needed to trim it smaller so the printer paper goes in first I don't know does it have to be tracing paper?

      @@donetahill6102You should definitely leave a border of the original paper. Here are a couple of other tricks/tips I have collected over the years when printing on tracing paper, vellum, acetate, parchment paper, and etc.
      1. Most all printers have a manual feed. This allows you to feed in a single sheet. Much easier to trick it into printing properly. Plus easier to clear if it does get stuck.
      2. Give your freshly printed items at least a good 30min to dry.
      3. Choosing a lower quality print option means less ink. This can be a good thing to help prevent smudging.
      4. If you are unable to trick your particular printer, don't worry. You can find vellum and acetate online that are made for all the different types of printers. Bonus, most office Depot type stores offer printing on those specialty papers.
      5. Don't forget that you can also Stamp on tracing paper for similar effects. You can also use the packing tape method on most all stickers and normal prints to have a similar finished effect.
      Enjoy!

    I discovered that EPSON INKJET printers can't do this method, sadly. Someone asked directly in their "help" section if they could print on tracing paper and the reply was "you can print on PLAIN paper." (then hawked their proprietary papers) and added, "... printing on vellum or tracing paper is not supported". In brief, "No." Nothing I tried would make a clear print because it seems the ink is too *liquid* for papers that will warp or shrink, like vellum or tracing paper. Me sad. ☹

      @StudioTinidril 7 місяців тому

      I probably won't risk making a big mess to clean up in order to try it again with vellum@@bette-annflood835 It may just be my older model that is the problem and not newer ecotank models. 🤷‍♀
