AWE Tuning C8 Corvette Touring Exhaust Upgrade!

- Most car folks can never leave well enough alone, and for this essentially brand new Corvette C8, that means step 1 an exhaust upgrade! Gone is the active exhaust setup that comes with the factory C8 Chevy Corvette, now to be replaced with a lighter, and LOUDER unit from AWE Tuning. The model we are installing today is their Touring version, so considerably louder than stock, but not nearly as raw (and neighbor hating) as a Track version.
Because of the mid engine layout of the new generation of Chevy C8 Corvette, there's some disassembly required. This IS a bolt on kit, but in order to be able to do that, you need to pull some components. The rear bumper assembly, rear wheels and rock guards, as well as under panels need to be pulled. Let's get to work, and see just how much improvement this kit brings to our customers essentially "Day 2" Corvette!

Actually yes the stance vehicles were here for alignments! Most shops around here won't even touch modified suspension cars so we are here to help!
I have to agree with you Rich. The mid engine design is not where it’s at. To me they have ruined the corvette . Prefer the old School Corvette. But great job switching out the exhaust. 💯👊👍
It's not that it's not a great piece of engineering, just wish it had been badged with something else besides Corvette. The exhaust REALLY woke this thing up for sure sound wise, before you could barely even hear it at idle, gives a great sound pulling away too. Thanks for always supporting us Terry!

You do indeed, in the shop for an engine swap. We've done a number of those vehicles over the years, they just don't usually make it on camera anymore.
Looks like a much more efficient pipe and muffler combo. Does that car have the Mercury marine 4 cam engine in it. Those engines intrigue me, I would like to take one apart to see how much of a debacle it is. The coyote is very difficult for the average guy to rebuild so, it is not merely gm that has technology issues. Ford stuff is hard for the average guy to degree the cams in.
The 4 cam engines aren't coming out in the Corvette until the C8 Z06 and the C8 ZR1, this is an LT2 powered unit. You are absolutely correct the Ford setup is vastly more complicated to work on, going back to the DOHC 4.6 motors compared to the LS family. Holding all those components in time while doing what you need to do, you screw that up and bad expensive things happen.

Definitely changed the note of thing for sure and for the better. This probably won't be the last of these exhausts that we do I imagine
