So normally for CS degrees they expect you to take the classes for the major at the university. Now if you’re trying to, let’s say minor in CS, then that credit from AP Computer Science MAY be used. At the end of the day, it’s just a good way to be prepared for college exams (which were on paper pre-pandemic times) and understand the foundation.
They do factor into the GPA yes. But that may have changed now since it’s been over 2 years since any of us have heard about DC. I’d verify with your advisor to be sure. Also yes, transfer it depending on how many hours it’s worth. Doing it over in college could be good or bad depending on the professors.
Keep your head up king if you do well on the ap test you can knock off a few of your basic science hours even if you’re a computer science major. 90 dollar ap test > 900 dollar college intro course.
Take the ap test, I definitely regret not taking it looking back because I would've been able to skip out on some of my required science classes that cs majors are forced to take. I thought it wouldn't be useful because who would expect it to be for cs majors but now that I know the ins and outs, trust me its worth it.
@@prancast5954 oh yea if I have the option to change ap bio should I change it to ap chem? And if I am planning to major in computer science at A&M should I take AP computer science a or principles?
Damn they giving us hella content this week 🔥
What did you say about AP Computer Science at 9:40? If you do AP CS in high school, do you not get any credit in A&M if you do Comp Science degree?

Hey guys I wanna be a cs major at A&M and I am taking ap Lang. If i pass ap Lang Is there a reason to take ap lit?
Yes it will probably be beneficial for you to take AP lit because it will give you an elective credit saving thousands dollars and time.
Should I take a computer science class in high school if I’m planning to be an engineer in the future?
yea and engineering too if they offer it
I have a question, is dual credit and dual enrollment the same thing?
Do dual credit grades transfer to your A&M transcript? If you got an B in a dual credit history class, should you still transfer it?
