A couple of things that happened in my playthrough just before i researched the forester my loggers had almost cleared all the trees then I noticed they were getting hardwood logs I ran around looking but couldn't find any myself Then I found a small rock IN my camp which said granite mine I placed a mining hut to collect the granite which i have 300 so far and set my foresters planting hardwood I had discovered the hardwood and granite sites before this happened but i haven't had to do that so far Also my workers are travelling a long way from camp which is a problem when raids happen I give all my men a bow and one handed weapon It seems to work great so far I have 25 men and when we all go out we find a high spot away from their camp and I fire a shot in and from that point they are fighting in the shade lol its great fun to watch
You get most farming-xp when you are the one seeding the field - but you get it only when the field is ripe. Then you get XP for each single spot growing. Also i think the harvest depends on the skill of the seeder. So if you seed with lvl 2 you will get less wheat from the harvest as if someone with higher skill seeds the field.
19:24 there are so many menus I had forgotten where to look for my housing and population. I was just looking at the "buildings" I had and did not see the All, Production, HOUSING, other, type part. Something to remember for my next playthrough and all thanks to you :P A new tips I discovered about your main character harvesting : when you chop wood/trees you maintain the click to wave your axe but you can click again as soon as your hear the axe striking the wood for a much faster animation. Also as the game is physics based (mount and blade) when you want to chop wood you wave your axe from right to left so if you position your character to the extrem left possible then the axe will reach the treee sooner resulting in an even quicker animation. For the spice quest if I remember correctly from my first playthrough, if you don't hand it over to the guy in blackridge he summons a bunch of well equiped guys to deal with you.
I think you should priortise having a small unit of elite and well armed soldiers that roam around the map with you. It can be easy to manage them and can let the others focus more on work and relatively cheaper
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Cranberry are found in swamp areas of Blackridge, and apples can be bought in Blackridge market trader. cheap and varied seeds also

Two hand weapons go in the 3rd weapon slot. Slot 1 and 2 are for 1 hander weapons
You should keep 1h weapons on archers if they are engaged in melee or out of arrows, they should have weapons.
Yeq. Staging ground is needed to make it easier tbh
Arrow baskets are storage. You place them like traps
Upgrade your food game bro ! But great job ! Keep it up I just hit day 30 and built my town hall
Better foods will come soon
