If you want to see what the band can do watch babymetal rondo of nightmare (with mischiefs of god intro)
Welcome back.🦊This was a live performance (June 2019), but it was the official video so the audio was from the studio. Official videos only have the live audio if they say 'Live' in the title.
There is a video with the live audio from this performance and it is so much better.
Yes Su-metal in the middle is the lead vocalist. Moametal and Momometal (and original third member Yuimetal) provide backing vocals and harmonies.
Yuimetal last appeared in Oct 2017 and left the band in Oct 2018. From 2019 through to April 2023 Su and Moa continued as a duo, so in that period they had 3 dancers who would take turns dancing (but not singing) in the third spot.
In this video the third girl was Kano - this was her first performance with BABYMETAL - she was still only 14 years old.
Moametal was singing backing vocals and harmonies as always, Kano as the Avenger (the name given to the 3 dancers) did not have a microphone.
With the moving stages etc that they use at the Japanese arena concerts (they like to get out among the crowd if they possibly can) the Kami Band - yes they are always there - will be on the main stage and the cameras don't always catch a lot of them since the main focus for the BluRays etc is BABYMETAL, the 3 girls.
Well spotted - the choreo is interpretive and it is often designed to relate to the meaning of the song or a lyric (helpful for those of us who speak no Japanese).
The main purpose of the choreo is the involve and engage with the crowd - they follow the girls' lead and all jump, pump their fists, shout or whatever when Moa and Momoko do.
F Hero is a rapper from Thailand - he flew in to Japan specially to perform at the first two concerts of the 2019 tour. BABYMETAL played in Bangkok last year and F Hero made another special guest appearance.
They have another collaboration with F Hero and Thai rock band Bodyslam called 'Leave It All Behind'.
'PA PA YA' is one of their more poppy songs, so for some of the more metal oriented fans it may not be a favourite ... until they experience it for themselves at a live show. It really gets the crowds jumping and swinging towels round their heads in live shows.
_Matsuri da!_ 🦊🤘🍠
Welcome back to the Foxhole.
Last year fans at Bangkok enjoyed this song live with F.Hero as a special guest for the third time performing together after this live version 2019 in Japan, but everyone enjoyed this in every concert, it's a hit they don't wanna miss in any of their setlist, except for rare events.
F.Hero along with Bodyslam did another super collab with BM called Leave It All Behind, you can check it out the official MV and last weekend Bodyslam played at Summer Sonic Japan with BM as special guests, next is coming Summer Sonic Bangkok when all of them will be playing for the first time.
F.Hero is a top Thai rapper artist and he's singing/rapping in Thai language, the title is in reference to the papaya fruit used to make a popular Thai salad.
It's a fun song to represent and celebrate the mix between these two great cultures, and fans at the World Tour 2023/2024 enjoyed this song.
If you want another rare live performance with Latin rhythm vibes you got "Night Night Burn" live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020, or with Indian influence like "Shanti Shanti Shanti" official MV, better yet if you look for "folky" vibes then you got "Oh! MAJINAI" ft. Joakim Brodem live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 or Budokan 2021, you'll notice almost every BM song got their own unique dance choreo.
This song belongs to 3rd album "Metal Galaxy" released in 2019 but this one as well many more songs are exploring a different Babymetal side, sometimes more mature, but trying to not lose their fun.
The footage of this was took from BABYMETAL AWAKENS: The Sun Also Rises 2019 in Yokohama Arena Japan, F.Hero was invited for this, the night before he was really in panic with the amount of people and even throwing all out after the show, It ain't easy to face that crowd, especially after receiving some negative critics from BM fans who didn't like his participation on this, fortunately he recover from this and received a warming welcome. Also that night they introduced the _avengers_ system, a group of three backup dancers filling the third spot that YuiMetal left (she left the group in 2018). They rotate so not always you'll see the same one on stage, usually the live official MV before 2020 is with Kano Fujihira, she started this when having 14 years old, so young like our girls back in their early days. None of them have mic or sing and aren't official members, they just dance. But remember that status changed recently when MomoMetal was announced as a new official member. Again, the one you saw in this live compilation isn't MomoMetal but Kano-chan as an avenger.
The official MV is with studio album sound so wait to hear the blaster sound of the Kami Band when playing this live.
Keep enjoying BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Middle woman is Su-Metal and she is the lead singer and more or less the leader of the group. The women on the side do backing vocals, crowd interactions and of course dancing. The live band is always there but because of the moving stages and the room needed for the three of them to dance the band is often in the back or off to the sides. Officially Babymetal is just the three women.
At this point (2019 to early 2023) the third spot was filled by one of the "avengers", who were supporting dancers without a headset microphone, and BABYMETAL were officially just Su and Moa. Of course since Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was made an official member in January of 2023, BABYMETAL is now a three person group again.
@@rickwagner- yes of course
The platform they've on moves back and forth, so during parts of the show they are on the main stage with the band, and other times the platform moves forward with them on it. They often use stage configurations like this at their big shows.
Every Babymetal song has it's own unique choreographed dance routine that accompanies it to help tell the story of the song.
Su-metal in the middle is the lead vocalist, she does 80% of the vocals, while Moametal and Momometal (not in this video) do backing vocals and chants.
Nice one, but this is one of their more “commercially popular” songs.
If you want a a more Metal experience:
*Road of Resistance (Official Live)*
*Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014)*
*Tales of the Destinies (Tokyo Dome 2016)*
🤘🦊
very good choice☺ From Dusk Till Dawn Also 🦊🤘
Great reaction! Yes, Su-Metal is the voice of BABYMETAL, in the truest sense of the word. The other ladies (in this case: Moametal, wearing twin pigtails) do background singing, harmonies, and they do the bulk of the choreography. The third lady in this video was one of the "Avengers", 3 rotating backup dancers who filled in the third spot, left empty by Yuimetal (original 3rd member, left the group in 2018 due to health issues, and is one of the most kawaii metal persons on planet Earth). They don´t sing at all. The "Avenger" in this performance was Kano Fujihira.
BUT: you could hear Moametal sing, if you wish! As well as MOMOMETAL! ("Avenger" from 2019 to 2023, named full member since 1st April 2023) Both did the second half of the song "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!", and both did GREAT! If you want to try their versions though, you should do the original version (Su-Metal singing the whole song) first, and understand the meaning of the song. Moametal´s version as well as Momometal´s version become much more special and meaningful then.
Try "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" from the "Legend 1997 Apocalypse Su-Metal Seitansai" concert (most of the time shortened to "Legend 1997"). You´ll see the first Kami Band (all Japanese guys, and top notch musicians), too 😉
🤘🦊♪
👍 👍 👍 So much joy, fun and energy. I love the way Su sings “brrrrrrrrring it”. 🦊🦊🦊 🖖 ❤
Babymetal - Kagerou (Legend MM 2024 Live) Eng Subs You will not be disappointed.
Nice reaction!!!
As mentioned in another comment, the 3rd spot at this time was filled by rotating dancers. In this video is Kano Fujihara, now a member of the up-and-coming J-Pop group @onefive. Kano turned 20 today (she was 14 in this video). Happy birthday Kano-chan!
Babymetal gotta be the best live shows on the planet currently.
Do road of resistance live in japan. Its a beautiful thing.
Oh i loved the heavy guitar to rap
You really need to do Headbanger and always do live. Their live is the best.
Try Catch Me If You Can with Kami band intro. It will give you a bit of everything.
Babymetal Is 🔥🔥🫶🔥🔥
🤘🇺🇦🔥❤️🦊🦊🦊❤️🔥🇯🇵🤘
there are 2 Kami bands , "East" and "West", ...you'll see a difference
Awesome guitar playing in your intro. May I recommend an instrumental song by Wagakki Band? They have created many songs over the last ten years and a few are instrumentals for their live shows. It's called Togakubi (Beheaded): ua-cam.com/video/OHeUdJKqKsE/v-deo.html
It's an 8 member band, but for this it's only the guitarist, bassist and drummer.
Songs with amazing shredding to check out: HAGANE - 天下五剣 (Tenka goken); KOIAI - A New Picture
It's like a Broadway musical, having a backup metal band. Someone was thinking about the bucks $$$.
You trolling BABYMETAL reactions again again? Pathetic. You know perfectly well they started with no budget and everybody expected the whole idea to be a short-lived and failed experiment with absolutely no chance of commercial success.
The fact they can sell out arenas and venues all round the world are down to their own hard work, talent and passion.
The fact they are more successful and far better known than your favourite band is down to them doing something nobody else does and putting on the best live shows.
@@Grington300 Hey if you like pop metal, that's good to bring in the once before non metal heads. They are kinda cute, probably attracts some that way Also popular doesn't mean the best, just good promotion by their label.
I see your jealously is uncontainable now. Babymetal thrived in the metal scene, not the pop scene. It was metal heads who made Babymetal as big as they are. You're acutely aware that Babymetal have songs that are heavier than anything (your favourite band) have done, which is why you only ever show up trying to put off newer reactors at early stages. As soon as they have witnessed for themselves that the Kami band are the best in the game, you are gone, never to return, because you have no tricks left. If this guy still liked a studio MV, he's gonna love something like Rondo of Nightmare live. It's not Babymetals popularity levels that upsets you, it's (insert marks favourite band name here) popularity levels in comparison that annoys you. You're just going to have to control your envy better.
@@Ryujin170 Jealousy? 🤣😂. Yeah heavy back up band You really should get professional help. Maybe you're dating one of the girls.🤔
@@metalmark1214
You're the one who is always calling them cute😊. Do i think you are Jealous? yes,100%, and it's completely understandable. You view Babymetal as a threat that needs diminishing, as they are the Godzillas that opened up and lead the Japanese metal scene in the west. Keep on trolling and diminshing if it makes you feel better, but you're going to have to do it for a long time yet.⏱
Lol. "I don't think the one ther girls have sung in this song." Seriously? You don't see their microphones? You don't hear them singing support vocals throughout the entire song? Wow.
"their", "them"...
I don't see Kano's microphone... because... nevermind! 🙄
@@road-runner So he was half right. 😜 And yes I know what you're talking about. I'm glad we have that resolved with Momoko now.
