Well the original welder was Alexandros Mograine. Mograine at the time of the blade's creation was a paladin of the Silver Hand. Eventualy, Dathrohan renamed the organization to Scarlet Crusade. This was after he was killed then possesed by the demon Balnazzar. Dathrohan, as leader of the Scarlet Crussade, sent Mograine of a mission to Stratholme, an ambush prepared to anihilate the Highlord. He also made sure to convince Mograine's son to betray his own father, in exchange for a high seat in the Crusade leadership. So technicaly, Mograine did died a Highlord of the Scarlet Crusade, even if he was part of that organization for a kinda short period of time. P.S. The tooltip of the sword does read "Blade of the Scarlet Highlord" and it does in BOTH the Corrupted version, and the vanila original legendary version of the Ashbringer (before even the Corrupted version being introduced, there existed a Legendary uncorrupted version in the vanilla game files... the existence of this legendary sword in the game files was what kickstarted the whole myth of the sword, since after being datamined, people started searching for a way to obtain it in game. However, there wasn't a way to obtain the legendary sword, and some patches later, in the NAXX patch, they introduced the Corrupted Version, which clearly was meant as a way to obtain the Legendary one, since there was NPC dialog, prompted by owning the corrupted version, that pointed to this end, but Blizzard changed its mind and make it so, only the Corrupted Ashbringer was attainable, and only for a short period of time, as it was removed at the end of the Burning Crusade expansion, giving the Corrupted Ashbringer, somewhat around 2 years of life, by that i mean, it was only attainable from the releaze of patch 1.11 and the releaze of patch 3.0.
Atiesh was Medivh´s weapon :)) Guardian´s weapon, not Khadgar´s. Ye, he has it now but.. we kinda dont know how he gets his hands on it XD
