Agreed! I love this lens! It’s almost as sharp as the 90mm f2 and it can blur the background more. At basically half the price, it blows my mind!
Only negatives for me is the af/mf button and the flaring. It flares a lot when you get the light at the right angle, and it’s not the kind of hazy smooth flaring that some lenses have. But I can definitely live with it.

Lovely, concise review, thanks! I've been tempted to buy this lens since its release but I hesitated since I already have the 85mm F1.8 and photography is only a hobby for me. However, I found it on sale for EUR 441.70 with free shipping a few days ago so I had to scratch the itch and it's now on the way.

Thank you Thor. I appreciate your input. I have been using this lems a bunch lately! I just did some concert photography so I'll make a vid on that soon. I'm glad you are here. :)

Seriously great work bud. I’m thinking of naming mine Merlin because of its magic.

Please make a comparison of viltrox 75mm f1.2 against 85mm f1.4 sigma or 105mm f1.4 sigma or against the canon 85mm f1.2. The important thing is the blurring of backgrounds on portraits and not on the same focal length of the lens. For us portrait painters it is very important and essential please!!
