Thanks for making the video, you are right, there isn't many videos out there on truck audio. I ordered a box from him too, I remember it taking way longer than it really should have, but on a positive note, its a really well built box.
no problem glad to help anyone i can and yea it definitely was worth the wait super well built box and yea its funny i waited exactly till 4 weeks passed then right after i email them they reply with a tracking number i bet if i didnt say anything it would have taken longer lol i get it tho i guess they probably do have a lot of orders coming in but yea i cant wait to get my subs and amp for it
Where did you get your amp brackets I’m trying to build one but can’t find them at my local supply store
What’s diameter of your mdf? Did you go with 13”? I’ve been told the correct size for amp rack on that back wall is 48”x13”
How did you fold the seats down? I have the same year truck and cant figure it out. Thanks!!

thanks man and nice yea once i realized there was a way to make the seat fold down im like hell yea theres my amp rack lol but yea i been so busy with work i need to do a update video its basically all complete now except i want to get a different sub amp but im running 4 sundown 8's my electrical is stock alt with big 3 and a dual battery from xs power cant remember the model and i ran all my grounds to 1 distro block because of the amp draw sensor on these they regulate how the alt charges but like i said ill try to make a vid this week of the whole thing
Good video man. I have a question. I have the same amp in the same location but my amp get super hot after 30 min of playing my music. Does your amp get hot ? How do you have your speakers wired? Thank you for the video
Thanks for the comment and mine gets a bit warm but not too bad try getting some spacers to put under the amp to keep it off the carpet like I did I plan on setting up some small computer fans back there maybe just to help with air flow and as for the speakers I ran some 9 wire and tied it right into the factory speaker wiring behind the dash I was able to find my own connector so I didnt hack the factory harness
When you drilled the hole for the nutsert in the floor, was there a hole left that you could see to the outside, or was the hole you drilled, in a void protected from the outside?
I just dont want to have and moisture or water issues ya know.
yep there was still a hole through the nutsert but before i inserted the nutsert i made a little gasket around it with some of the rubber mastic stuff that came off of the sound deadening material then i crimped it in place and when i put the bolt through i did the same thing on the threads of the bolt, i considered using thread sealant but didnt have any seems like the mastic stuff worked pretty good im sure you could also use some silicone too, you could probably get away without drilling through the floor if you wanted you could probably just do the top and then create a bracket that slips underneath one of the factory seat bolts to secure the board to

@@GTObrad1 no problem hope it helps and i did get my subwoofer box in finally just have to order my subs and amp ill make a final video on that once its all hooked up i may try some things out making the amp rack look a little cleaner as well

thanks and you just do the seat lift i think i left a link in one of my videos to it or you can cut the hook bracket thingy on the back of the seat if you dont wanna lift it and it allows it to unlatch when raised up
