Thank you for all the support! I'll be doing a Q&A video, so please submit any and all questions for me! :D
i really enjoy the second jaws film almost as much as the first one, the sailboats and the characters and very memorable for me
@@batbryson1205b fair enough, glad you enjoy it! 😄
I wholeheartedly 100% agree with the exact order of these rankings. Jaws: The Revenge is so bad it’s somehow wildly entertaining. Jaws 3 is just dull and lifeless. Jaws 2 is outright forgettable. And Jaws is damn near perfect. It’s a movie I loved as a kid, then I went several years without watching, and now it’s a movie I rewatch anytime I’m in the mood to watch a masterclass in filmmaking.
Couldn't agree more!
Hey, sharks going to the bahams to hunt down families is a very deep and well thought out villain motivation!
Jokes aside though, after you've done some more reviews you should do a shark movie ranking with things like Meg and Deep Blue Sea
@@RyonixPlays having Jason Stayum and Sam Jackson would make me feel safe in a shark situation! Definitely will consider it, thanks man! 😊
Great ranking! I haven’t seen the sequels in years but I remember watching them with my friend Jeremy growing up and we didn’t like Jaws 3 & Jaws The Revenge at all 😅
They are definitely a chore to sit through, but both admittedly have moments of enjoyment.
Jaws 1975 is an iconic classic for good reason, Jaws 2 is a mediocre, Forgetable/watchable sequel and Jaws 3&4 are some of the worst movies I have ever seen
Pretty much sums it up. XD
Just in time for Shark week. My rankings from best to worst would be Jaws, Jaws 3, a papercut, Jaws 4, a trip to the hospital, Jaws 2
@@Necrow_Productions Haha love it! Thanks for watching!
@@TheRealMediaMatt yeah! Jaw 2 hurt my ears omg. But this was a good ranking video!
You got good audio mixing and great framing!
That’s interesting! My ranking would be Jaws 2, Jaws 3, Jaws The Revenge, taking a shit, Jaws!!!
@@Necrow_Productions thank you! I got a new mic when I started the show but I do aim to make it better in the future by soud dampening my room. Thanks for watching!
We have EXACTLY the same ranking. Okay... Choosing between 3-D and Revenge is like choosing between pest and cholera... But I prefer the more absurd tone of Revenge... Most people think 3-D is more enjoyable however, but I cannot get past those HORRIBLE 3D effects :)
@@brent.b.productions2015 I know, those 3D effects are awful and distracting at best. At least with Jaws The Revenge I can laugh at how absurd it is, even though it's still not a good film. Thanks watching!
JAWS is one of rare cases where I found the movie far superior to the book it was based on. One subplot that they cut out was the mayor's involvement with the Mafia. It worked good in the book, but would have really bogged down the movie. Another major change from the book was of the characters. Almost all the main characters in the Book were so unlikeable, that I would have been cheering for the shark over the characters. The only character that was semi likeable was Quint.
From my understanding, Quint was basically the same in the book and most of the other characters were all unlikable like you said. I also remember the ending being somewhat underwhelming, but I'm glad it was changed in the movie, even if it was more hollywood-esque.
@@TheRealMediaMatt He was a blowhard, and had some less then ethical behavior, but, he did keep things calm as well as the fact that he stopped Brody from killing Hooper and was able to keep a fragile peace aboard the Orca kind of takes him out of assbutt territory. But, that's just my opinion. Maybe less opinion than interpretation more likely.
No, I totally get it! Quint in his own right is a bastard, but he's a lovable one. It's nearly impossible not to like the guy. And when he eventually does die, I felt bad. Killing sharks was an obsession for him and it became his very downfall.
@@TheRealMediaMatt SPOILER WARNING: If you have not read the book, this goes into the original ending, including deaths that did not happen in the movie, and an alternate death for Quint. In the book, Quint had a far less gruesome and horrifying death. The shark finally succumbs to all the piercing wounds and dies, but, as it sinks down to the bottom of the ocean, Quint's foot is caught in the ropes the shark is tied up in, and he's dragged into the sea with the shark, and drowns. After Quint's and Hooper's death, and Brody making it back to the island, the character Meadows, the newspaper editor who had been helping the mayor cover up all the shark attacks, posts an article about the actual events and all the shark related deaths, and exposed his complicity in the cover up. While a great story point and ending, all this would have really bogged down the movie. Meadows still in the movie, he was only in a couple scenes, and only had a couple of lines. I think the book is still really good, and worth a read, but, in this case, the movie was much better. SPOILER WARNING: The reply you have just read contains spoilers from the novel JAWS. If you have not yet read the book but still intend to, please go back and unread this reply and forget what you've read before you do so so you can read the book with virgin eyes.
As much as I'm glad that those things were cut out of the original film, I really wish that Jaws 2 had used the discarded ideas from the novel, including the town's mafia ties, the involvement of the local journalist, and Mrs. Brody's affair. The first director attached to the sequel was intending to incorporate some of these elements, but then he was fired over creative differences, and we ended up with a cookie cutter rehash of the first film with a teen slasher stapled on top.
Jaws 1 and done.. but I can watch 3…I hate all the kids in jaws 2, gotta root for the shark.. 4 is ridiculous
I can see where you're coming from, the teems from Jawa 2 were definitely the low point of the movie.
As preposterous as the fourth film is, I find it to be an improvement on the other two sequels in some ways. Jaws 2 is far too much like the first film, to the point of feeling like the cinematic equivalent of video game DLC. Jaws 3D, by contrast, feels completely disconnected from the first two films despite the last-minute rewrites that turned two of the characters into the Brody kids. It is just another generic shark movie, not a Jaws movie in particular. The Revenge avoids both extremes: it's sufficiently distinct from the plot of the first film while still feeling very much like a sequel to that film. And while the underlying premise is terrible even by Jaws sequel standards, the character drama driven by that premise is at least on par with (possibly better than) what we get in Jaws 2 and certainly superior to anything in Jaws 3D.
I can see where you're coming from. Jaws 2 isn't horrible, but it is a very basic, by the numbers sequel. Jaws 4 on the other hand is more of a drama with a shark in the backdrop. Of course what holds it back is all of the illogical sequences and poor writing. I do feel if the production wasn't so rushed it (if I recall, the entire film was made in less than 9 months) it could have turned out far better.
Hey its me again.... For me the best jaws film is jaws 1, second best is jaws 2 and for the others I haven't watched them. BTW can you do the deep blue sea movies.
@@TF2Levon you're not missing much lol. Thanks for sharing! Also, I do have a review on the way. One might even call it "cruel". 😉
:) you did cruel jaws! :)
@@TF2Levon more than willing to oblige my audience... even if the movie isn't that great 😂
Jaws and the other 3 don’t count! 🤷🏻
Jaws 4 is the worst! A total joke!
