@@jakefisher3328 😂
I was one of the people requested Deep Blue Sea :)
@@TF2Levon a handful of people asked for it and I just neglected to post them in the video. Hope you still enjoyed!
Jaws 1 and 2 are probably the only Jaws movies that are enjoyable to watch, but jaws 2 will never be as good as the first jaws movie. Although it was a great film!
I used to love Jaws 2 a lot more as a kid, but I do find it inferior to Jaws. Still a decent watch if nothing else. Thanks for watching!
@@TheRealMediaMatt Yeah i agree, its a good sequel. I honestly think they should have ended the series at Jaws 2, Jaws 3 and 4 were basically a cash grab
Can we get a CastAway vid?
@@project_Notorious I can add it to my list!
Classic movie. Love the scenes when they start getting flooded by water.
8:13 that shot reminds me of sharktopus for some reason, probably a movie you might need to give your opinion on one day 😂
"Just when I think I'm done with shark movies, they pull me right back in..."
Been watching your reviews and love your channel dude! This is One of my favourite films when growing up so thank you for covering
You're so welcome! Hopefully I wasn't too harsh on it! 😅
@@TheRealMediaMatt not at all 😂 I loved the film but it’s no Oscar bait lol
God, i absolute love this ridiculous movie so much
Is this the best shark movie beyond Jaws 1 and Jaws 2? Maybe.
I'd say so. I admit I have some nostalgia for DBS, but compared to Jaws 3 and 4? Yeah, I'll take it over those two lol
Sorry to hear about your relative. Im sure they would be very proud with how your channels going.

You are now condemned to review shark movies for the rest of your life! Awesome review.
@@jiao581 lmao 🤣
Awesome review vid, bro! Remember I saw this one in theaters upon release. Not great, still a lot of fun and laughter 😆👍🏻👍🏻
@@kevinmyles6369 I first saw it on DVD while visiting my grandpa. I still have a lot of nostalgia for it. And yeah, lots of hilarious moments, especially with the bird. 😂
@@TheRealMediaMatt oh yes, good times. Say, are you planning to watch the new Alien Romulus movie next week? Any interest in those flicks. Good be a great one 😃🙌🏻🙌🏻🙂
@@kevinmyles6369 yes, very interested! Fede Alvarez was enough to get me in a seat alone because I enjoyed Don't Breathe and Evil Dead 2013. I'll probably do a mini review for it when it comes out and I do plan to cover the Alien franchise as a whole! Thanks for watching!
@@TheRealMediaMatt brilliant, pal! Looking forward to that! All hopes are on this flick kinda for the Alien franchise as Scott went off the rails with Prometheus and Covenant imho.. those flicks! C'mon! Huge waste of potential. This one will be bit more organic and old school shivers like the original 2 we were told 😮🤗🤗😍😍
@@kevinmyles6369 Romulus should have been made well before Prometheus and Covenant. I appreciate what Scott did with the first film and can respect his other two films, but I'm glad that Romulus seems to going back to basics. At the end of the day, I just hope it'll be not just a good film, but another good rendition to the series.
The license plate is the exact same one they remove from the tiger shark in Jaws. Excellent reference.
I forgot to mention that, but indeed, great reference!
8:16 “You know he’s got a point, the best thing to do in this situation would be to band together, you know I’m really glad he’s our guide-“ 😱🦈🩸🩸🩸🩸 “Oh…. Uh Nevermind…..” Also now that I think about it, ya this film is a lot like aliens 😂
@@Sh8rkmonkVR it's probably just a coincidence, still a fun observation lol
Great review bro! Best shark movie ever made!
Not a big fan of this but i respect those who are
Yeah, it's definitely not for everyone. I tend not to enjoy horror comedy, but Killer Klowns works for me 😅
I put I a suggestion for Cowboys vs Aliens. That is before I watched most of your videos. I think you would love Overlord from 2018. I had no idea what I was in for when I saw it in the theater. Love that one.
I'll add it to my list, absolutely! I'm currently backed up with a couple more reviews, but I will get to it when I can. Thank you for your support!
La la land and Ten thing I hate about you, and whiplash and coraline are all films that always caputure the magic
I've been meaning to see Ten Things, heard very good things about it! Thanks for watching! 😄
Great job 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the review! This movie has so many different feels in different scenes. it’s very good 👍 great videos!
Thank you! Coraline is so good visually and thematically.
The fundamental flaw of this film is that it takes a premise that could work thematically and treats it literally. The shark works as a monstrous symbol of recurring family trauma, but all of this revenge stuff should be in Ellen's head. Objectively, the string of shark attacks should be a pure coincidence, even if Ellen subjectively takes them as anything but coincidence. And really, there's enough room to interpret it that way until the ending, when the shark decides to leap out of the water and strike at Ellen on the boat. If the movie could have held onto the ambiguity of the situation throughout the entire runtime, the premise would have a decent _out_ for those who can't buy into the outlandish magical realism of a vengeful shark (in other words, most people).
That would actually make the film more interesting. I think that's what Jaws 2 tried to do, having Brody paranoid and alert. But just like you said, it wasn't utilized very well. I've been told there was a movie novelization of Jaws 4 and while it gives more context, it's still extremely silly.
Matt do you have any gaming or would be interested in talking Jaws or movies in general on a pod cast? Love the channel and would love talking shop or possibly joining the channel in some capacity! Cheers Brother and keep it up! 🦈🦈
Hey, Robbie! I mainly game on PC and have considered a podcast, but lack the time currently as I work a day job and edit the videos in my free time, but I'm not opposed to chatting! As of right now, I don't have the ability to do channel members or get monetization. However, if you ever want to support the show, I do have a Ko-fi page in my channel bio! But please never feel obligated to. It is purely there if you want to support me outside of watching, which is already enough for me. Keep in touch! :D
This reboot of the 1958 classic was so gross, I never watched the whole thing. Who want's to see a monster showing the food it eats? The 1958 version will always be the best.
I remember seeing the original after seeing the remake, and it was still a good time! The fact that a whole festival is dedicated to it shows that it made an impact.
Great review. Have you ever seen the sadness, i just finished watching it. It would make a great review.
I haven't, but I've heard it's solid. I'll add it to my list, thanks for the suggestion!
New subscriber. You’re awesome. If I could suggest a review it would be Cowboys Vs Aliens.
Thank you! I'll add it to my list! :D
I recently had the idea of what if Jaws 2 was a psychological movie like they just play the paranoia straight the entire film and have it be ambiguous to whether there is another shark near amity or if Brody had given in to his ptsd. But that would lack blood i guess
It'd definitely be interesting! Though I still would've preferred the prequel with Quint on the Indianapolis. I'd have taken either honestly lol
@@TheRealMediaMatt they considered a prequel didn’t they? I guess universal didn’t believe in a film where Robert Shaw is drunk the majority of it while wearing makeup to look younger. Or a film relying on a replacement actor’s potential to mimic him or whatever.
Grew up watching this movie and I still like it a lot. Great mix of scary and funny.
It definitely is a gem, one I feel doesn't get talked about that much. Glad to see you man, hope you're doing well! 👊
Thanks for doing this one. I still have it on vhs. I can't let it go!
Absolutely, The Thing is easily one of my favorite horror films, so it was bound to be on the channel at some point. Keep that VHS!!

It was a request, so neither did I! Thanks for the support man!
Love your videos!
Thanks! :D
Great review man! One of my favorite movies!
You're welcome man! It's a good one!
Great vid, Matt! Oh boy that franchise went to crapper pretty fast. Universal seemly didn't care about any quality anymore after the second. They ran it into the ground. Only wanted to cash in. The original remains brilliant..2nd is a pretty fun, watchable sequel..sadly poor execution of Jaws 3 and 4. The shark in 3 and 4 doesn't look scary and more goofy, they showed it way too much and up close which shows how fake it is and moves. I do admit the opening death scene in 4 is pretty well done.. How do you compare the original franchise with the Italian jaws rip offs? 😆😀
Thank you for watching! Yeah, with the success of Jaws, I'd be surprised if they didn't make a sequel at some point. In reality, Jaws is a concept that can't really be expanded on all that much, similar to Jurassic Park. First one was great and posed a lot of interesting questions. The sequels just turned into schlock where all the characters do is run away from dinosaurs. They do have their audience, of course, but for me I'll always prefer the original Jaws and JP1. Don't even get me started with the ripoffs. 🤣 Thank you for watching!
Jaws 1 and done.. but I can watch 3…I hate all the kids in jaws 2, gotta root for the shark.. 4 is ridiculous
I can see where you're coming from, the teems from Jawa 2 were definitely the low point of the movie.
Just found the channel. Hope you keep them coming!
Thank you, I've got a review coming this Saturday for Monster House! I believe afterwards will either be The Fly (1986) or Coraline. Stay tuned! :D
Yep both of my channels are now subbed. W video fr helllllllllaa underrated. Ima stick around fs and turn on notis brotha.
Thanks a bunch!
@@TheRealMediaMatt w video. watching your jaws reviews rn and u did a good job explaining the films. I think the first 2 are always worth a watch every summer, i watch them just bc the environment feels so alive. Everything that happens doesn’t feel forced. Masterpieces. The last 2 well… Jaws 3 had potential which sucks because its a cool idea, shark goes on a rampage in a Sea World. But it was so poorly executed.
@@project_Notorious Thank you! I worry if I tend to get caught up in my analysis. 😅 Jaws 3 was summed up beautifully. Good idea, poor execution. And Jaws 4? XD
@@TheRealMediaMatt well we dont talk about jaws the revenge 💀 although as a kid i enjoyed it. Why no clue. Im currently writing a book (hopefully oneday a film) about sharks. Sense I believe besides deep blue sea there wasn’t a single good shark film.
@@project_Notorious DBS is definitely up there as a decent shark flick, much better than many of its contemporaries. Hope the writing goes well!
had the opportunity to watch this as a very young kid but was terrified by clowns as at that age, after seeing this ill have to peep it out
Same here, I managed to finish it as a kid because for me the movie leans a lot more into the silly nature than scary. But that said, hopefully you can finish it!
criminal you dont have more subs, so have one from me :D
Everyone has to start somewhere. ;) Thank you for watching!
Cruel jaws is the worst, they say jaws the revenge is the worst but have they seen this
I was way too harsh on Jaws 3 and 4 lol
@@TheRealMediaMatt i like jaws the revenge but jaws 3 edit is to crap even kids would notice how crap it is
Yeah, I prefer the revenge over the 3. Both aren't good, but I can at least get entertainment out of it, compared to 3 which is boring to me.
I wholeheartedly 100% agree with the exact order of these rankings. Jaws: The Revenge is so bad it’s somehow wildly entertaining. Jaws 3 is just dull and lifeless. Jaws 2 is outright forgettable. And Jaws is damn near perfect. It’s a movie I loved as a kid, then I went several years without watching, and now it’s a movie I rewatch anytime I’m in the mood to watch a masterclass in filmmaking.
Couldn't agree more!
Great ranking! I haven’t seen the sequels in years but I remember watching them with my friend Jeremy growing up and we didn’t like Jaws 3 & Jaws The Revenge at all 😅
They are definitely a chore to sit through, but both admittedly have moments of enjoyment.
Yeah, this movie sure is something (and nothing at the same time) Of all the movies released trying to capitalize on Jaws’s success over the years, this one is probably the laziest. But hey! At least they really thought outside the box with making it a tiger shark instead, even if they never use actual tiger shark footage once in the whole movie
Right? I didn't even point that out, good observation!
another bloody rip off, the director of this terrible film should get suede for copyright.
If I recall from doing my research, I do remember seeing that they initially had trouble getting the film put on BluRay and DVD because of the stolen footage. 😂
Blue suede.
