Planning to buy an older model with prizm grey lenses but can't decide warm grey or prizm grey. Which one you recommend and what is the main difference besides the darker view the prizm has? Gonna use it everyday, it's a polished black Fuel Cell.

Love prizm grey, bought them for my Oakley field jackets,they had prizm trail..I think they are a great overall lens..plenty dark enough, now I can use these glasses for sunny and not so sunny days!

Its a cool lens,it toned down the sun ray but bring up the contrast. Basically eveything looks natural and soothing but with a better contrast..

Hey all thx for reviewing these prizm grey lenses. Why on earth would Oakley NOT include these on their own everyday chart that you show at about 1:00? For 17% light transmission, these seem like a good happy medium between their darkest options (about 11%VLT) and a sport lens like the Trail (36%). I do mixed biking and driving and want an all purpose lens - I think these might be best option with the most versatility - thanks for any opinions.

I just want something I can wear in a bright, mostly indoor setting like a shaded eating area and then outdoors without feeling like I look out of place or taking them off. I tried a transition lens on prescription glasses, but they get clear instead of slightly shaded and not dark enough. Thanks for specifically featuring the lens.

I really enjoy and learn from the videos. Do/did you do a series comparing PRIZM to what would've been the counterpart lens in the old line? ex vr-28, OO Red Iridium polarized, etc etc etc. I've got several sets of lenses in my rx but some of them are showing their age with minor scratches and such so it's time to look at updating my gear. Some comparison's could be helpful thanks!

Does prism grey have a purple look too them? I’ve got a pair of Jupiter squares that I’ve had for awhile. The lenses almost look purplish. Trying to figure out if I want prism grey or prism black

Hi there! Although they have a grey base like sapphire, they will also have a hint of prizm contrast which is what makes the clouds a bit red.

PRIZM Grey is it! PRIZM Daily was essentially a toned down version of PRIZM black which is exactly what PRIZM Grey is. Hope this helps!

Does it make the world darker?
I always struggle in sunglasses when I arrive to a shadowy place, I cannot see the details. I’m wondering if this would work in shadows too if it’s polarised?
Hi there! PRIZM grey is a great option for a variety of conditions and it will work well for you if you are going in out of shadows.
Could I get the prizm Grey polorized prescribed with a Subtle mirror coating?
Given that the black has an ( iridium coating ) 11% how would that differ from the gray everyday with the subtle mirror coating if it's not the same as black that is?

Hi Jose! PRIZM Grey is available in polar in Rx. If you want a mirror, go with PRIZM Black because it is PRIZM Grey with an added mirror. PRIZM Grey has a VLT of around 17% so the mirror makes PRIZM Black a darker tint. Hope this helps!

With a 17% VLT, Grey is not the best option for low light/cloudy conditions compared to that of a rose or amber tint with a higher VLT.

Hi, I currently use the prizm daily to ride a motorcycle; I have to change them for space reasons with a helmet and take the pitchman who have very thin leasts.
I thought that the gray prizm are similar to a daily even if a little lighter; What do you think about it ??
Yes, they are very very similar. Oakley essentially replaced PRIZM Daily with PRIZM Grey.
SportRx I really miss prizm daily and I can’t understand why it was replaced. The base coating is rose and to me it enhances color and make it look “HD” IMO.
Are they mirrored?

Are these darker than warm grey?
Hi there! Yes, PRIZM Grey is a bit darker then warm grey because it has a grey base and warm grey has more of a rose base. Hope this helps!

Hi Kelly! PRIZM Grey is essentially a PRIZM Black lens without the iridium or mirror coating on the outside. If you want a less flashy black/grey lens this is your best bet.
