Gladys came over to England a couple of years ago and my wife took me to see her for a Birthday present. Absolutely Fantastic !!! her voice is still so good, unbelievable.
this is in the 70's heydey of motown...you dont have singers and groups like this anymore.....melody, flair, style, soul, way better than the modern garbage ......love it, one of my faves.
frank tomasic agree 1000% old school is the way to go it will never go out of style wayy too many greats to choose from back then than today's so called dry music.
Gladys Sings She Pulls on your Heartstrings So Beautiful right to your soul One of The Greatest Songs Ever I’m crying my Eyes Out I cant help It. Love Big Daddy Pete Two All
This performance and song is one of my top shelf go to's. Such a performance by Gladys Knight. She was already a jewel in my eyes. But this tune put her right over the top onto my elite favorites listing.
There will never be a beautiful soulful singer like Gladys. I still have my Mothers orginal album from the 70's. Shes telling a story that you can follow from beginning to end. Love your REAL reaction. Beautiful woman!
When I was a kid my dad worked security for Billy Dee Williams. I used to go to school and tell my friends that my dad was Lando Calrissian's body guard. One night he let me come with him. Billy got my dad to drive him to a friend's house for dinner and that friend was Gladys Knight. We had dinner covered by a legend of soul. She was such a sweet and kind lady. I'll never forget that day.
The most beautiful song I've ever heard. I stole the album from Mom back in the 70s and still have it. Shes telling you a story about two people in love...they know it's not going to work out, and neither want to say goodbye. We'll never have music like this again. Beautiful woman!🙏🌹❤
If Gladys Knight's voice doesn't move you- you don't have a heart! Absolute Classic Voice- Classic song! You can't watch or listen to this without getting into the "groove". Oh my, Gladys Knight- ONE OF THE BEST EVER! American Treasure! The thrill I get to see the younger generations discover the music I grew up with. You'll never hear better! Now you see why we're always bragging about our music! Your Grandmother is a musically-smart lady!
Omg, Gladys Knight's has a impeccable voice. Amazing words, so beautiful from the heart. Breaking up is a very difficult time in anyones life. Fantastic music.
I'm grateful to Gladys Knight for singing the Star Spangled Banner at the last Super Bowl when there was so much controversy. She did an AMAZING job. God bless her, and God bless us all.
Gladys Knight. SHOCKINGLY UNDERRATED ! without any shadow of doubt, one of the greatest female vocalists of all time, never mind Motown. Had the privilege of seeing her on one of those UK Motown revues in the very early 70's when every top Motown act performed, and she was mesmerising and even better live.I swear she didnt need a microphone. what. a. voice.
I would love to see you go get your grandma, play this song nice and loud and dance with her, or just be on camera with her as she hums/sings along. It will be a memory to last you a lifetime. These old beautiful classic songs speak right to the heart and bring us back to old familiar times. P.S> I've been watching many families, groups do their "reactions" and I always, always enjoy yours the most. Nothing phony, just pure emotion and joy, sorrow, etc., Whatever you feel you share it with us. You are so adorable.
This is the music of my generation. Gladys Knight is a blessing and her voice is exquisite. This is pure talent and she is still performing and sounding great. I love everything she ever sang but this is definitely in the top 5. Thank you so much for bringing back great music and great memories. 👏👏❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦
I’m jealous that you get to experience all these great songs for the first time. They take me back to my youth. Man do I wish they still made music like this.
Modern day roots man. This is Soul for sure, but this was also Pop, and very very popular to everyone who grew up in the 70's. The 50's, 60, and 70's was the Golden Age for dynamic and soulful rhythm and modern rock. The list is very long brother.
A man always needs to listen to his Grandmother. This is an awesome direction to take with your reactions. You are bringing back some great memories. Hats off to your Grandma, she has great taste in music.
If you haven't reacted to Midnight Train to Georgia, its probably one of the 5 greatest soul/r&b songs of all time. No joke. Whenever I hear her sing that opening line...LA....proved too much for the man... I still get chills every time.
There’s a difference in singing loud and screaming and hollering. Gladys not only has an absolutely beautiful voice, she was a beautiful woman. I’m thrilled I had the pleasure of growing up listening to her. Your grandmother knows great music!!
My brother had this song on 8-track tape. All of the Top 40 radio stations in ear shot of our region played this song in heavy rotation. This is easily my favorite song by them because she sings her heart out on this song. Timeless classic!
You are right, Autotune has ruined music. When you have grown up listening to this type of music, when people really SANG and played real instruments, it is almost impossible to listen to modern 'music'. Thank you for taking some of us on a journey back in time and seeing your reaction to it.
I agree with JB's grandma. I've heard this song a thousand times but each time I hear it, I just can't believe the beauty of Gladys Knight's voice and delivery, and it brings tears to my eyes.
This is a good song with a great vocal, and "A Change is Gonna Come" is a GREAT song with a great vocal. Keep featuring Grandma's recommendations; she has excellent taste

Those boys working the moves with such beauty and grace. Music was still a craft in the 70's. The groups I grew up listening to gave us every penny's worth.
Back when music told a story and you felt it through the music. Loved Gladys Knight's music every since I was a kid in the 70's listening to her music on my transistor radio on the AM.
Gladys is performing here in Richmond, VA next month. My generation was sooooo lucky having grown up during the '50s,'60s, '70s and seeing the devolution of music take place during the '80s and beyond.

70's child here, I grew up with this magical voice. ♥️
The Pips' harmonies and those dance moves are so smooth and natural compared to the robotic moves we see today.
So beautiful and such a great voice. Try 'The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me'.
Grandma is the Boss!
1000% class and talent, Gladys sings like she’s thanking God every second for her amazing gift.
Modern day roots man. This is Soul for sure, but this was also Pop, and very very popular to everyone who grew up in the 70's. The 50's, 60, and 70's was the Golden Age for dynamic and soulful rhythm and modern rock. The list is very long brother.
