Have you used the 300 Ham'r on deer? I've been thinking about building one for my white tail rifle. Also, do you have experience with 6.5 grendel? and if so, how do the 6.5 grendel and the 300 Ham'r compare on game (specifically deer sized game)?
I shot a doe this year, lung shot, dropped in 20 yards. As for the Grendel, yes I own a couple 264 LBC's, same thing with a tighter neck. Comes down to bullet selection.
I have my preference, but you go on the Texas Hunting Forums under the rifle section there is a huge multi page post on the 300 HAM'R which discusses all bullets.
@@elkbow hell yeah. My gfs dad runs .300 HAM’R with his 30 cal suppressor and night vision. It’s so quiet we didn’t even know he was shooting and he was only 100ft from the house
@@mtnaddict4907 there is a big range of what people prefer. I know Bill likes the heavier bullets, but my hunting groups of hogs in the fields I like faster, lighter bullets. I usually hunt with the Hornady 110gr SP. It is a varmint bullet, but made for the 308 so when you slow it down some it isn't as explosive. Out of my 16" barrel with AA1680 powder I'm getting 2738 fps average and super accurate.
@@elkbow Interesting! I ordered some 110 controlled chaos and 110 v max bullets to try. Have you tried either of those? Do you like the 1680 powder better than the CFEBLK? Thanks!
@@mtnaddict4907 I haven't used either, Bill tested both and liked the Choas. CFEBLK is a better choice for a range of bullets, especially 125gr and up.
Learn to shoot if your gonna make videos kill shots not shot to the hips guts, learn to shoot, shooting like that is what gives us hard core hunters a bad rap
Haha, dumbass. We do hog eradication, shoot thousands of hogs a year to help the farmers with the crops. Shooting running hogs is a tough shot when you're standing in wheat, peanuts etc. Sure we'd like to hit every one in the head, but guts slow them down and we do follow-up shots I usually don't put in video's. Let's see your videos Mr. Expert dumbass?
@@djones01001 still waiting for that dumbass to answer. He obviously doesn't know shit about hunting or hogs, if he did he'd he'll realize how much of an idiot he is.
Randy get out of the 1920s. Clearly you have never hog hunted... elkbow, nice video, do you find the 300 to have better terminal performance than your 6.5 grendel or 6.8 Spc? Obviously head shots dump em, but how about less favorable hits?
Love seeing that 300 Ham'r!
Thanks. I don't put in half the kills I made because they were too graffic.
Probably my new favorite caliber 125gr tnt rounds are vheap and drive tacks in my setup
One of the guys I hunt with uses TNT's for the same reason, they're cheap and they work pretty good

Hmmm..
Weapon malfunctioning???
RE:
Several hogs escaped your offering.
However, when you released your rounds...GREAT SHOOTING.
Can't limp wrist an AR, my fault
Which bullets would you recommend if I want to be absolutely sure I can punch through any bones I hit? I tend to hit shoulders a lot.

Ty
Dream setup. Are you rocking a suppressor?
Yes, Wilson Combat Whisper suppressor.

@@legendarycinematics3091 I do the same. The weather and terrain affects how loud they are.
Seems quiet for 135 grain..that a subsonic ? Sounds like my suppressed 9
They are supersonic. Shot noise depends on humidity, vegetation, etc.
Do you make external power cables for Armasight Predator?
I used to, not any more
What is the brand and model for the thermal scope?
ATN Thor 4, 4x 640
What bullets??
135gr Hornady. Not my favorite.
