    I am upset that this cartridge has not yet, as of my typing of this post, gained it's muchly deserved attention and appreciation by the general gun community.

      Yeah two years later and I still don’t get why it hasn’t taken off. It’s a fantastic round that, like .300 BO, utilizes a 5.56 bolt and can be made from reformed 5.56/.223 cases, but is much more powerful than .300 BO. Honestly, there are no downsides. It’s truly baffling.

    the 300 Ham'r is a great cartridge in the AR platform. as for the price of ammo it's priced fair. I built my 300 Ham'r with an 18 inch Urban Super sniper with AeroPrecision m4e1 upper/lower.

    I bought a barrel and I’m gonna build it in the future when I get funds. So please don’t give up on this caliber guys . It will catch on once people see and hear more about it . Thanks for the great round . Also are you guys going to product the red tip hornady ammo that’s 125g ? I know you have a red tip that’s like 150g .

    As of right how this has less than 200fps over a good .300bo. If ammo was .300bo pricing and availability I would give HAM’R a look. Until then .300bo is dropping white tail just fine for me

    I love W.C. parts for the 1911s and A.R. platforms, but you start this video out as a comparison of the 300 hmr to the 30-30 ballistics and then spend the entire video comparing to the 7.62x39 A.K realm. ? Im a big fan of A.R. .30 and .35 cal rifles and the 300 hmr is no exception. It's impressive, but so is the Winchester 350 legend.
    Now you should consider putting the 300 hmr in a bolt gun platform as it would deffantly be well suited for it also.

    • @HAYAOLEONE

      Capacity
      30cal bullets of all sorts
      Flexibility with components
      No debate inside 200/250 meters...
      250 to 500 meters max, an SPC for capacity or a 22/6mmPPCgrendelARC for flatter trajectory compete with the oneGrendel2ruleTHEMALL.
      Past 500 meters, you don't use an AR or an AR cartridge IMO..
      For paper shooting past 500 meters with an AR, a 223 is cheaper and makes the wind reading more interesting.

    unfortunately the 300HAM'r is not getting the media credit it deserves, because of people wanting to run suppressors. So the 300HAMR'r is not getting the credit it deserves I will take performance and ballistics over a suppressor any day especially one that performs as well as the 300HAM'r in which hopefully soon as prices come down to normal or as close to normal as possible I will be building mine

    • @The10thManRules
      @The10thManRules 2 роки тому

      A suppressor does not reduce performance and ballistics unless your suppressor experience is from video games.
      I reload and shooting a 16 inch 300 HAM'R while suppressed almost exclusively. It's 0.78-0.93 MOA accurate all day. I make a nice 110gr Vmax round with AA1680 powder pushing a modest 2550fps. It's boring accurate.
      If I didn't reload, I wouldn't even bother. But, since I was already tooled up for 300 Blackout, 300 HAM'R was an easy transition.

      But a 20 or 21 'pencil' barrel would deliver without feeling heavy.

    • @jamescrowe7892
      @jamescrowe7892 4 роки тому +4

      Yes. Especially since the U.S. military does not have the proverbial "assault rifle" in it's inventory. It is Rifle, Cal. 5.56 mm, M-16 or Rifle, Cal. 7.62 mm, M-14. The Russians call their AK family of rifles "assault rifles" but not our military. Nowhere in the TMs for the M-16 family will you find the term "assault rifle". When you use that term you are perpetuating the hysteria promulgated by the state run main stream communist media.

    I am left with a profound 'meh' by any cartridge proposals over the last four or five years. It seems like a money grab in terms of licensing, but it's really just rearranging deck chairs. Next time we get a 10% better propellant, it will all collapse back down. I think the problem is that gun design isn't radical enough, so there's not enough novelty to fill the pipeline. Design changes are more like the auto industry (hey, look, new paint! New lines) than the technology industry - even manufacturing technology moves faster: tool development shouldn't outpace what you do with them - and that's a fundamental problem. We have not yet reached peak gun, and it's a shanda that it's Czechs (Alien) who are pushing the design factors at the moment, which goes to show just how cowardly and cowed the American firearms industry is.

    • @Berserkable
      @Berserkable 4 роки тому +1

      The Sig XBolt with the 277 Fury has me really interested. Also the desert tech mdr is promising but still growing imo. I don’t feel we need too drastic of a change though. Not yet at least. Take gradual steps to find out what works and what doesn’t. The MCX Virtus is pretty much perfect in my eyes. The ease of use like the AR, piston driven, easy conversion and maintenance with minimal tools/skill, folding stock that doesn’t interrupt function etc. You go too drastic and it’s usually not reliable. Not always but you know what I mean. If it’s a pure toy/competition gun it’s no big deal. But I get what you mean. As far as I’m concerned the modern Glock is essentially the same as it was back in the 80s. They’re not adapting or even trying. They rely on their customers to buy the same old new Glock over and over to keep up with the new trend of “Perfection”. Sig seems to be the only one trying to branch out with making firearms more modular. It’s really got me back into Sig lately.

    • @HAYAOLEONE
      @HAYAOLEONE 3 роки тому +2

      Come on Jason...
      300H kinda is the 'ultimate' 'practical 30cal' AR cartridge with minimal changes in the inventory. Barrel, mags, done.
      Makes you wonder what took a 'big name' so long to make it happen..
      New shooters can buy a 350 Legend and reload/modify/have fun. No prob.
      But a 300H will give so much for so little over the 5.56ARs everywhere it's a no brainer..
      [ The guys doing all their stuff on the 10mm/'SPC' base diameter cartridges have a nice thing going on for them too ]
      The next big step in 'comfy design' is the 'AR12' with excellent steel mags. The AR15 simply suffers from its cartridges' length limitations.
      100% new shooters could buy a 'lightweight' 6.5_LAPUA AR and/or a 22/6mm_CarcanoArisaka based LASER rifle with even lighter ammo and forget about everything else except bolt action magnums.
      It's not the time for new gun designs in a radical sense. I mean Kalashnikov will 'soon' make all the versions you can think of with their heavier unbreakable AK design..
      Focus on the efficient AR design dominance, keep/exploit the modularity, offer good barrels in tons of various chamberings and let things flow.
      The HudsonH9 is a sad story though. I would have thought people with enough money to buy new guns and lots of ammo every year would make an effort to buy one and support innovation... Gun looked so cool too..
      And 22TCMs should be adapted to xyz everywhere of course.

    I was impressed by the capability of an AR firing a .300 cal. bullet. However, I was not impressed by Mike Seeklander an American competitive shooter with a Toyota pickup truck. Yes I know about made in America but the profit goes straight back to Japan. What about our USA economy. A Chevy Silverado would have been a better choice. Switching gears here a windshield out of a truck is not as structurally strong as when it is installed in a truck. Finite element analysis will show that.
