Hey^^ i made it. I asked because i came up with the idea of basically a seraphon army, but with Nighthaunt models. Awalrach has the same base size as the slan starmaster, kroxigor and spirit hosts , aggrodon lancers and dreadblade harrow and the Saurus warriors as grimghast reapers or gleavwraith reapers. it could fit with the theme of "summoning ghosts" with lords of space and time, AoE damage from the spirit hosts, the leap from the aggrodons and the tearing bite as frightful touch.
Gloomspite are weird - i think Mollog and Snirk are both very good - Snirk is especially good if you keep him with a babysitter for backstabbing mob - remember you can run gobbapalooza without losing the battle trait - remember that the battle trait will do nothing most of the time - try to take as few Stabbas as your points will allow 😅
I have a question about a warcry rule that I thought you could maybe help with. I have looked in all the normal places, warcrier, and the rule book, but cant seem to find it. My question is, can you do a ranged attack though a non friendly fighter? So, I have 2 Kroxigors standing in front of each other and a rat ogre 4 inches away. Can the ogre shoot the back krox or no?
Sure, I can help with that right now :) What you are looking for is the targeting rules for an attack; to target something with a ranged attack action you need to be in range and have visibility - for that you need to be able to draw a straight line from ANY part of your fighter to ANY part of the opposing fighter. In your example, as long as the Rat Ogre has visibility (either over, through or around the enemy fighter, maybe through its legs for example), it can shoot. Note also that you only get the benefits of cover from intervening obstacles and not fighters, so the Kroxigor won't get the +1T
@OffMetaMusings can you please cite a specific page on the core rule book or a link on warcrier that says this? It's not that I don't believe you, but I have to show it to my game group as this has also been a point of contention in some of our games.
@@Nof1Studio sure; 1. Picking weapons and targets for your attack actions: warcrier.net/docs/rules/attack-actions#1-pick-a-weapon-and-target 2. Visibility: warcrier.net/docs/rules/#visibility Specifically: 1. Pick 1 of the fighter's weapons to be used and pick 1 visible enemy fighter within range to be the target of the attack action. 2. ***If you are unsure whether a fighter is visible, stoop down behind the fighter making the attack action or using the ability to see if any part of the target fighter is visible from any part of the fighter making the attack action.*** The reason it works like this is to avoid situations where you can hide an entire warband behind something like a Monster base.
Plus Savagers are in the new Slaves to Darkness Spearhead so are still in production! (Plus that box is an insane warcry starter with basically two warbands with great cross theming and strong ally potential in the Slaughterborn, the Warqueen and the cavalry champions)
Great questions and answers.
How would you fix the elves? Give them better killability? Toughen them up? Reduce price overall?

sounds real cool :)
What would be your best Gloomspite list as it stands now? What abilities should be built around?
Mollogg

@@OffMetaMusings awesome thank you
Godsworn Hunt and Gnarlspirit should absolutely be in Darkoath
