Love to see stuff like this. I think we often assume competitive players don't care about the hobby side, and the hobbyists only play casually. But it's good to see someone who does both!
Wow, these conversions and paint jobs are really good! Amazing video, it was really nice to hear the stories behind the warbands and see all the things you've done ro personalize them
@@Tombonzo Kill Team is relatively strict about base size and overall silhouette of the model, but if you've got those sorted, then MOST tournaments are going to let almost everything else slide. There are of course good proxy and conversion guidelines to follow when it comes to representing certain weapons on certain models to help your opponent figure out which operative is which, but those are less firm than base size and silhouette. The answer is always to check with the TO of the specific event.
Wow - impressive hobbying! Interesting that most warbands are strict 1000pts without options. When I start a warband I tend to build everything + allies so I can have variation and they can "live longer". That of course leads to way fewer warbands to choose from!
hah, yeah; its because I basically build warbands for events specifically so if there are alot of other options in there its normally because I've changed my mind at some point before the event XD
Love all the psychedelic painting schemes. This is how one intimidates the opponent lol. On a serious note, good warband collection. Good luck and have fun in upcoming tournaments!
This was a very enjoyable showcase with some cool conversions and nice looking teams. for next time perhaps have a bigger picture of the warband the frame on the left side is wasted space and you being a third of the screen is also suboptimal. a tiny you in the corner with maximum screen real estate for the minis would be an improvement.
Awesome stuff!! Love it. So obviously, and I didn’t know this, conversations must be ok to use in official tournaments?! Because I thought it wasn’t allowed?
Yes of course they are allowed. The general rule of thumb though is that the minis have to be all GW minis, on the same base size, represent what the actual fighters are armed with (so that they arent confusing to your opponent) and are roughly the same size and shape (to avoid modelling for advantage)

Thank you very much!
Love the warbands! Very inspirational...
Some really great conversions and painting in there. Makes me want to push myself to build a warband from scratch.
Jesus christ. FINALLY. A video that actually matters.
The ONLY video that matters XD
Lovely stuff! I was thinking of doing something similar, but you've got great conversions in here.
Many thanks :)
@@GlassHalfDead - Does Kill Team allow these kinds of conversations in Tournament play?
