The amount of accuracy I've witnessed from this man over the years is absolutely ridiculous.

I ask myself each time, how does he do it? align the sights quickly to the target, particularly the gong? and iron sights no less without accessories. I have been watching Hickok45 address target rich environments with a consistency that only begs immediate respect and deference. Plus Bud's Gunshop which helps him with various small arms.

For those who don't know. A Ronin is a Masterless samurai. In feudal Japan, the country was divided among many warlords called daimyo' Who waged near-constant wars against each other in an attempt to dominate Japan. in feudal Japan, samurai served the same role as knights did in Europe.
Hah, was just telling my wife about that trying to convince her I need the EMP Ronin.
Ronin were pretty much the most dishonourable people in Japan other then the Daimyo themselves. I’ve always found them American obsession with the supposed honour of feudal Japan to be rather hilarious especially in term the three degree of ignorance and misunderstanding.
I can’t get enough of these recent releases by Springfield Arms. They seem to have really blown it out of the park

@@AdamN-uq9fy I have personal issue with a single stack 1911. Being in a wheelchair I can't hide and with my hands I'm pretty slow on mag changes. So older Para Ordinance double stack 1911s and 2011 pistols for me.
I had been wanting a 1911 in 10mm for a while when I saw this gun in the ARMORY magazine. I found one online and with the help from my gun dealer I was able to get one. I paid top dollar for it and it is worth every penny I paid for it. Now I just need to shoot it more! Thanks for the video Hickok 45!
The Ronin series are the best 1911's on the market for the money. I Was lucky to find one in .45 when they first hit the market, and it has become my favorite.
After watching this video, I wandered into my local gun shop and what did I find? Yep, a Ronin 10mm. I'm now a proud owner and couldn't be happier. One day maybe I'll own a target rich environment to take buffalos the way our pioneers did with Federal Premium ammo - Hickok you are the best. I can't hid my grin when I hear you laugh a exploding targets.
Hickok i've been watching you for quite a few years now & I just love you. You remind me of my grandfather, may he rest in peace.😢 He was just like you. Humble, friendly, respectful & he just loved telling stories. I could listen to him for hours & not get bored, kind of like I do with you. Respect & keep up the good work.

The 10mm is making a comeback. Many gun manufacturers, including SIG were about to announce several new models just before COVID hit. I can’t wait to see what comes out!

@@hickok45, most modern semiauto pistols are derived from the P-35. I have told people that my P226 was a highly evolved 1911, and they seemed to have trouble understanding the concept. I also thought it was odd that most of the world uses Browning derived pistols, while the US used a modified Walther P-38.

Yes, I have literally been trying to ge more .22 WMR for years.There have been MANY stores and websites that claimed to have ammo, yet EVERY TIME I actually tried to buy some, there was none in stock!

@@Oldmankingspiffy, I can only order ammo online in THEORY, because no one has any! At least not the type I need. I keep going to site after site, that claim to have ammunition IN STOCK, and they are always out when I try to actually buy some.

@@williamkillingsworth2619 I’ve heard of them being bear rounds, but I’ve never had the luxury to test it out, haha. Always seemed a bit ridiculous that something like that could stop an enraged brown bear.
@@littlebrian3070 Never seen proof of actually doing it. In my studies of firearms Northern guides that grew up and live in those woods with big bear say high powered rifles with solid cast bullets, .300 win mag, 375 mag territory, 35 to4500 ftlbs of energy. Not a hand gun with 4-500ftlbs and likely hollow points that won't penetrate the bone. I have seen plenty of videos of enraged humans srugging off multiples hand gun rounds. A pissed off 10ft tall bear... you are just going to make it really mad.

Another great review. That's a pretty color combination. Mine is a RIA FS, parkerized, so it's more of a work horse, but extremely reliable. The 1911, IMO, is the perfect platform for this round.
Truly a beautiful 5” Springfield at a very fair price. These days everything is getting ridiculous but my LGS has one sitting in the case right now for under a grand. If you ask me that’s a lot of pistol for $960 to be honest.
Simple, clean, classic lines. Oh, and the gun is nice, too.

Thanks for the video. My carry gun at my northern MN property is a 1911 in 10mm or a .357 revolver depending on what I'm doing. A good balance of penetration and stoping power is reassuring in Black Bear and Timber Wolf country. Not to mention that any law enforcement help is at least 40 minutes away.

I bought this pistol back in feburary waited 2 months for it I have cleaned it very well and just look at it still haven't shot it I love it so much .

A couple months ago I bought a new Ronin 10mm. Had nothing but a variety of problems with it. I tried to break it in by shooting it but after 400 rounds of frustration I decided it was a waste of money. So I called Springfield and got an RMA. I sent it in on July 12, a little more that six weeks ago.
This morning I got an email that it would be sent back to me in a few days. Apparently the gun was a mess because, well this is what they said: "Our techs reamed the chamber, recut, and polished the barrel ramp, polished the chamber, and refit the barrel. They also tuned the slide stop, polished the breech face, and tuned the extractor. Everything was safety checked and tested with no issues."
Wow. Seriously? How did that gun make it through quality control? What's going on Springfield?!?!?!

I have an original TRP, a new TRP, and the Profesional model along with just about the entire 1911 line up Springfield makes in 45acp or 9mm but I don't have this one.... It's been on my radar since it came out because it's a beautiful gun at a reasonable price. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

The price and availability of the ammo where i live sucks period, sure if i had unlimited ammo i would like 10mm or any other great round to shoot out of a 1911 but buying todays ammo pisses me off so much it ruins the fun.

Had to send my Ronin 10mm back to Springfield after 2 range trips of non stop feeding issues, slide jamming plus a few other issues. Got it back within 3 weeks and now she’s buttery smooth and perfect! Still a great purchase after the kinks were worked out.

Anything in 10mm or .40 has my interest peaked. Yes i am one of those

The .40 never interested me. The .45 and the 10 is lovely. For less oumph i go for the 9mm. But in all honesty their not hugely different to handle. I even heard american police went back to 9mm because the .40 has to much recoil. Its scary to have people that uses weapons in duty that just dont have sufficient training.

I still prefer a 1911 over any modern day handgun! With a good carry belt and holster i forget i have it!
Saw this on the UA-cam version on my TV last night, but I came back here to click the "thumbs-up" in order to have this video review counted. As always, good review, good shooting, and good camera operation (Big John). The only negative is the lack of any checkering on the front strap, but like you asked, what do you expect out of an $850 semi-custom 1911.
I have the Ronin in .45 ACP. No checkering on thr front strap. But I bought a thin lornprofile wrap around rubber grip from Pachmayr and cures the problem. Gave it a very tacky grippy feel and the thin panels do not increase the grip size and very low profile fi ger grooved do not force my fingers to grip where it wants.
Class act. Bought one for Christmas enjoy it very much. Springfield out did themselves on this one.
I own a kimber 1911 pro carry 2 .45. And I just purchased a Glock 17 gen 3 9mm.
I never knew 1911 could shoot 10mm.

I’m a Springfield 1911 fan! Love the 10mm
Two favorites, 1911 and 10mm.
Been eyeballing the rock island double stacks.
Both of my 10mm pistols are Glocks (G29 Gen4 and G40 Gen4 MOS) and my only 1911 is an SA in .45 ACP (Range Officer Target), but a 1911 in 10mm is certainly on my short list. Top contenders have been a DW Bruin or SA TRP, but the Ronin may fit the bill as well. It's all a matter of availability these days. First one I see in an LGS will be the winner. Solid shootin'. 🤙
