- Hello to all our UA-cam Family and friends, Welcome to another episode of our hobby farm update, today is the most happiest days of a pig farmer, We sold 3 fatteners for a good amount of money compared to the last 3 years of growing fatteners, Today live weight is 175 last 3 years were only 110 due to low demand high supply. Consider it lucky this time. This fatteners is 4 months and two weeks old. How our hobby farm help our Philippine retirement so affordable and just fine. We grow our own Organic food from fruits to vegetables. We also grow Madre de Agua to help us lessen the cost of commercial feeds of our pigs making it more profitable, I stopped using Taro my other alternative pig feed because they are just growing now, we harvested them years ago. Madre de Agua is much more easier to use, just have to harvest and give it to pigs right away. and it has a lot of nutritional value that pigs need. Please search google for more information about it. The Fruit I am eating on this video is a cotton fruit The fruit That has been growing in our yard for 10 years now.
Have a great day everyone.
I'm a retired fil-am I enjoyed watching your video. You are blessed with a beautiful place to live, free from stress, worries and problems looks like you are in paradise.
Thank you so much!, this is indeed a blessing for both of us. You have a great day
You didn't hit the jackpot, you're paying for it. Are you having a beautiful dream? Yes of course and helping along the way.
I LOVE YOUR GARDEN
$900.00 which is roughly 52k pesos per month goes a long way in the provinces of the Philippines. Plus, they probably save roughly 15 - 20k pesos in no rental payments per month. Also, they have a piggery which they probably see a profit of roughly 10k pesos per month when averaged over a 1-year period of time and never have to purchase pork from the market which is an additional savings. Plus, they grow quite a few fruits and vegetables on their property which probably saves them an additional 5k pesos. And so when you add all of those cost savings up per month it is equal to roughly 90 - 100k pesos reoccurring income per month. They are fine!!
thank you, good point
You’re a sweetheart. Great video. I appreciate everything you showed us 🙏🏼
Thank you so much! this is only a very normal simple video
You guys are having a wonderful life and it’s your own personal paradise. I know you both worked very hard to achieve it. God bless your farm and all the folks who benefit from the food grown on it.
Thank you Joe, hope you are having a great day.
Hi Rose,i am amazed how you arrange the flowers, maganda sya.be carefull kc maulan na the garden is wet, how i wish i can plant more someday in the farm too kc here in Manila im only planting in the pot🪴🌹to be a hog raiser, it doesn't seem easy but you raised well,God Bless.

Sharon and I live on $680USD (40k pesos) per month. We do ok, but we live deep in the province of Cebu in a small block house, eat simple food, don't travel, live a very simple lifestyle, and are contented. Depending on the standards wanted it can range between $300 and $10,000😂
Thats true, I will surely visit your channel too and maybe also learn from you guys
If no alcholo and tabako and medicine yes you can leave a simple life but my husband cant carry that due of his medicine monthly doctors laboratory every month....plus food electrec so much expense but your place is good its like a paradise maka pag alaga kapa ng mga hayop dito samin d pwde dahil tabi tabi ang mga bahay.pag nag alaga ka manok ilang araw lang wala na manok mo iba nakinabang

Thought I was opening a video about your costs but instead watched a video about pig farming...would be good if you actually talked about your monthly budget
We covered that monthly budget a couple times but we will do it again with baby coming along
Wrong title video ,it’s not about cost of living in the Philippines….Helloooo
I am a retired 62 years old and plan to move back in our country and I am so happy to shared your budget with your pension at least I can get an idea if my pension is enough to leave in our country or not as for right now receiving pension from my deceased husband in USA HOPEFULLY SOON I AM LOOKING FOR A NICE QUITE PLACE AND LEAVE HAPPILY

Yes, thank you, you have a great day
its a very nice place you have .
Thanks for visiting, hope you are doing well
I will not be verbos or pedantic here. But permit me one deadly sin?
Envy or jealousy or greed and lust?
One of the most beautiful women I have seen in life was a woman who lived in a cave in Cebu. You know the lime stone caves of Northern Cebu.
She lived in a cave at a substance hunter gatherer level.
I saw her in the river talking a bath in the morning mist. I stared at her with pure lust in my heart. I wanted to take her away from her world to the world I thought was mine. She looked at me. She looked away and continued to bathe and she refocused on her world, ignoring me!
There is no amount of money that anyone could have given her to take her away from her world, family, and that cave.
So, it all depends upon the woman. If she remains tied to her community as you are money is not important.
Community is.
You have the richest life I have ever seen. Money cannot buy the wealth you and yours have.
Thank you so very much. Wow so what happened after that, you just let her go?
It’s enough for them if there’s no rent or mortgage maybe.
Yes we dont pay rent or any debts, its just now with the baby maybe its a bit different. Have a great day
Php 52,000 is more than enought specially in the Provinces
love the gardens
Thank you Kenny🍻
Everything looks great.
Thank you so much David
Thank you David
I JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL, VERY GOOD SO FAR. HOPE ALL YOUR VIDEOS WILL BE THIS INTERESTING. AND I HOPE WE WILL SEE THEM OFTEN. I'M NOT AS SURE ON YOUR NAMES, BUT THAT IS OK. HE NEEDS TO QUIT SMOKING, SINCE THE BABY IS ON THE WAY. THINK OF THE MONEY YOU GUYS COULD BE SAVING, AND IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOUR HEALTH OLD BUDDY. SEE YOU SOON IN THE NEXT VIDEO AND TAKE CARE.
Happy farming po😊
Thank you 😊
You're so blessed. 💖👍 Just always remind your lovely Lady to slow down a bit because she is so hardworking. Her constant movement might harm her condition. Of all the Couples who married young has a hard time to conceive. Maybe because of the environment and the kind of diet that the people are taking in. And do not go out too often because your place is forested. There might be Night Ghouls that might take your fetus whom we called as Aswang. You're so lucky that your Brothers are there to help you on heavy tasks. Your flowers are so beautiful. 🌺 Oh, I love that slow rain which we love to nest on our beds. 🥰💖
Thank you so much for all your good thoughts, Yes even my mom and friends have warned me about that wakwak that killss baby inside the womb, I have no idea how true but yes, better to be aware. You have a great day, Hope all is well with you
@@AmericaManFilipinoWifeBETTER BE SAFE THN SORRY. we are born from d past ¬ from future. some wrap black color cloth, believe to be the aswang cannot smell or see. its to your choice what to do. if you follow does it harm you?of course not.

i was towed mexi tie foot anna pull em
No way I can survive on $900 pension. Actually sometimes food is more expensive than in US.
Go to wet market not in an air conditioned malls to buy vegetables and fruits, especially if you're in a province.
It will be enough if you don’t buy everything, new friend
That is so true, we grow our own pig and cow for food some veggies too and fruits. So I think We will just be fine. Thank you. How is life in Uk?
Another entertaining video sharing... You'll always have my full support. Good luck & Best regards po/Ned 👏🎉👏
Thank you very much

Pigs. Great! Eventually you could expand. I have an uncle who started like that, but expanded and had to buy more land to accommodate so many Pigs. You guys are so blessed.
Thank you but no more expansion for me. If we expand we require to hire regular workers
I love it WOW can I repost this video ?
yes you can thank you
900? Maybe enough if you raised your meat and plant veggies.
Yes Thats what we do here, fruits veggies and raise our own pig for pork meat as well.
Wow that’s a lot of babies pigs
Yes sis
They be crying because they know what’s gonna happen to them. You would be crying it too, if your getting weighed and you’re heavy enough to become lechon.
you got that right
the money could go a little farther if the old guy could quit spending on cigarettes and alcohol…just sayin.
There is a regional tabaco that grows in the Philippines. It is natural. As in without additives.
I always buy those tabaco leaves and roll them for people I know who like nicotine.
That natural tabaco costs nothing. Except that one could grow something else in its place.
Also, the natural tabaco is less harmful to one's health and has less second hand smoke effects.
Let's go visit Randy and roll him up some natural locally grown tobacco.
I love its smell. Sadly, I cannot chew or smoke it. My body is just too damn weak. It would kill me!
But Randy is strong.
The biggest jackpot without doubt is the ever affable Rose :)
I hope Randy is able to enjoy many years with her and their child…we’re all cheering for them
I want him to try that He doesnt care for it 😆, its okay we are doing fine
Thank you so much

We just love you sooo much Rose :) ❤️
Great l9ve who cate about money if he has a wife like that
Thank you sos much, yes hobby farm helps us a lot
$900 per month means he almost never worked and paid into U.S. Social Security pension, or he's been on Supplemental Security Income. Meaning he's always lived off of others. Now he's basically living off your hard work. I'd get rid of the bum. My Social Security is $1,950 per month, because I worked and paid into it for 42 years.
None of the above. The smart ones are those who don't pay in and invest instead. Plus I took early retirement 30% Penalty. Wow $1900 a month after 42 years of work, you must have had a poor paying job.
@@AmericaManFilipinoWife$1900 is right at the national average for social security…
@aboveitall I understand that. If I didn't take early retirement I would have gotten the same amount maybe more. But I would still be working for another year to get that. Screw that I've been retired for 4 years now living the life having fun. I did the calculations my break even point will be when I'm 78 years old. Shit one never knows I might be dead in a year. What's his name said I lived off the system as a free loader, he can kiss my ass he's a sheep of the system.
@@AmericaManFilipinoWife Irony is for us younger guys, I believe life expectancy is dropping for younger generations…Social Security age is increasing….4-7 years collecting a check… paying into it for 40-50 years working. The issue is many don’t save a dime, for emergency or retirement…plenty of wants verse needs…people favoring wants…
Thats so true
If you have your own house and lot, with no debts, $900 is more than enough to settle in the Philippines. $900 I= to 50;400 pesos monthly and 604,800 annually.
Hello good morning guys, you guys must manage your pera amazingly well if only $900. Monthly and buy all the equipment and build kitchen for meat processing. Hope you make nice pera selling your sausage and pork products smoked. Ingat palagi congratulations on blessings of baby Rose & Randy
Thank you Ronie, you have a great day. and hope you are doing well
Nice
Thanks
When have to transport our market hogs pretty well the same way. We find the best investment is to sell between 90 to 120kg. Any bigger than that and they eat alot of feed and grow slowly. Smaller than that, and there is small profit margin. We really admire your piggery and learn a lot from you Rose❤
Thank you so much, May I know where you in Philippines ?
Good for you , you feed only forage?
We keep 10 sows and sell organic feeder pigs.
We just started feeding a few fat hogs for local customers. We're feeding soybeans and molotov(grain Sorghum) and corn(organic
Wow 10, thats a lot , Do you do it your own or you have workers?
We raise our own grain and have a tractor and mixer-grinder (all bought used) so not as much work. We grow pigs on pasture (double electric fence)and we do carry 6 buckets of feed every day and water. Might take an hour?
With the Berkshire breed ...feed thats just cleanings sometimes and maybe poor management we're lucky to average 6 piglets per sow.
Ramona and I take care of pigs.
(My wife and I)
Oh 6 is not good number, As here mama need to give at least 9 piglets to ensure the profit. I have my own boar too so its easy for breeding. our 4 mamas now gives us total 45 piglets . With all proper care and feeding hopefully they all will survive and grow healthy until weaning time. Thank you and its very nice to meet you and Ramona.
50k budget pag sa province sapat na pag marunong mag budget lalo pag hindi na nag rent ng house.
BUT IT SURE IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL GARDEN.
The best expat experience on UA-cam, it’s real 24/7
Thanks we're just us simple mountain life in the Philippines but with all the modern Conveniences.
I love your garden design, which even looks inviting, even in the tropical rain! Your plants are so beautiful and lush. No doubt, you all have a green thumb.

Fatteners are delicious 😂
Yes they are, you want some?
@@AmericaManFilipinoWife I will enjoy some next time also 😊

That is enough if you don’t have anything to pay like rent; car on mortgage.
You have to live in the countryside not on big cities..
thank you

Thank you so very much .
Guess it's still "a Little" better than a Pinoy husband😮maybe her family won't beg money from them and will feel sorry and give budget😂
Oh thats one thing, We are so blessed about, my family has there lives of there own and they dont come to us for money for food. They are also hard working people.
900.if you live a simple lifestyle
thank you
Different content ,different title sorry folks what happen to the pension ,no words
900 American dollars is good income
It’s more than a lot of Filipino families but it’s about half of the average social security income in the US.
You could help him quit smoking by good diet, make some smoothies or even drinks like cucumber, slices of fresh ginger and lime or lemon add a bit of honey. Or some fruits like pineapples etc. smoothies and other desired vegetables.
You guys live in a beautiful place with an amazing nature around. You can do much with you fruits and vegetables you are growing.
The $ 900 is more than enough for you every month. You are good in growing free good for you guys and raising chickens and pigs to make money.
Thank you so very much, you have a great day
the food is so expensive grow you own corn
Im so amazed of yours farm hoping me soon also have pigs in my backyard soon.
You will have it sis, do you do vlog too?

Just curious about what said how much you made selling your pigs. You stated that you sold the pigs for 50,200 pesos equivalent to $11,000. How could that be? The current exchange is 58.67 to a $.
1,100 dollars not 11,000
and use copra meat
Appreciated d raindrops shots. Congrats on d pregnancy by d way. GB

Place is beautiful...Paradise indeed!
Piggies getting BIG! You're raising them properly IMO...
I can see some good eats coming for some lucky people...
102 KG? Holy Cow! Getting them down from the mountain is hard!
Thanks for the background on the process...
Reference $900 a month, I'd imagine it's enough as you're able to live off the land...
There are places where it takes more to live comfortably, but likely you'll not have the nature and beauty around you...
Life is what you make of it...
Take care Randy and Rose...Special package is underway...It's gonna change your lives!

👍😎👍
Thank you so very much, hope everything is well.
And I would imagine at the rate of only 900 that is SSI NOT SSDI so if and once the baby is born you can apply for the SSI subsidiaries if you register your child with the us embassy as duel citizenship then the child will receive 900 a month till they turn 18 my uncle was in same boat never worked stable jobs so never pain in all quarters or points over 10 years to SSDI and he was disabled and got SSI NOT PENSION BUT disability payment from us government so it's better in your situation because your child can receive the same benefits you'll have to look into process hope it helps
No that's regular SS not SSI so I don't know if that applies.
Why say only.

Do you have poisonous snakes and spiders there. And if so what kind and how often do you run into them.
Yes there are cobras here. But I've only seen one and that's because the dogs where killing it. I don't know about spiders I'm sure there are some but it's not anything the locals worry about or have warned me to watch out for.
Just cobra Ive seen so far, poispnous spiders I dont thery have it here.
