I don’t think it can be overstated how ridiculously thorough you are while building or rebuilding what already appeared to be a perfect car - top notch work as always Jason - also Nikko had no right making a car this good 😄
You humble me Wade, thank you. If you can believe it, this 17 1/2 minute video took me a week of my free time to film and edit but it was worth all of it being able to honour Keith's kindness and generosity by investing and giving back to him and the community who appreciate these things. Thank you again my friend.
Never knew Nikko made R/C cars other than the toy grade. From my childhood I remember them from the toy store standing next to the Tyco R/C. Thank you for sharing, nice car and nice video.
Very nice! These are really cool kits and not much on YT about them so all I know of them is pretty much from you and Keith! LOL! Thanks for taking us along on the rebuild!
Thank you Adam. I built up and raced one of these back when our vintage scene was kicking off back around 2007. I raced mine a few times over a couple of years and loved the idea of it. Sadly sold it when I needed to move my family interstate and was in need of the cash to get us there. Soo many regrets but now Keith has gifted me an opportunity to learn more, share more and do more. Really glad that people who have an interest can come along for the ride and experience this with me.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and your generosity. I really had in mind I wanted to do your proud with this video and share with you and any viewer that could hold an interest what the car was all about, inside out. There is still much to learn and experience with this time capsule but we are off to a good start.
Mate who imported all Nikko stuff to Australia said these all came out of a second Nikko location in Singapore back in the day. They setup these kits as a way to compete with Tamiya. Interesting to see one still going.
Congratulations for this super interessant video!! I have a Nikko Dandy Dash and i love it, but Nikko Brat is too much!! Please, when you have time, coud you writer in my comentar what king of tool have you, i say "little T", in minute 02:19; and what numbers have and where can I buy, please Thank you very much friend!
@@Bormac073 I hope to get a dandy dash within the week. I have a few tests I want to try, putting it against other Nikkos, Tamiyas, Traxxas, and even a highly modded Tyco
I just have to add another comment so maybe someone out there can help this RC Fan out… I Really Want Buy A Brat Myself 🙏🏻 So if someone out there in UA-cam land or in the RC World I’m definitely serious, maybe let Jason know he knows I’m after one. Sorry for bombarding your comment section Jason
I did see one for sale but maybe 6 weeks ago now. New in box but not sure if it was both boxes? Don't know if you also need a donor car aswell?! Didn't take much notice of it as soon as I saw the price 😢😮 It would have been on either ebay uk or on buyee. Good luck and hope your pockets are deep 😂 👍👌
P.S. just as a bit of trivia for you, the original Avantes had 4 gears/diff. I've got almost limitless confidence that someone (such as yourself, possibly 😀) could actually build an Avante and make it competitive with practice. Especially now they're well-built and don't snap into 16 if you look at them the wrong way :) I'm not a racer (as yet) but with time and patience the Avante can be tamed and it's really rewarding to drive. Just a though old bean.
Well, if you get chance to get in one for reasonable money, I'd say 'Do it!' as being an unquestionably full-blooded RC fanatic such as your good self, I really think you'd get a lot out of the experience. As i say, just a thought for those cold, winter (summer in your case) evenings 😀. Hmmmm...
hi, beautiful work. Do you know where you can find the technical drawings with the frame measurements? I have 5 dandy dashes and 2 super sprints and I would like to transform one into a brat but the kits here in Europe are very rare, so I'm trying to produce it myself

Such a thorough rebuild and a wonderful vintage specimen.👍😁

Thank you for sharing, nice car and nice video.
It still blows my mind that Nikko had cars on the grid back at the 89 IFMAR
Incredible rebuild Jason, very enjoyable my friend 😎👊🏻
Thank you Glenn. You won't see this quality and rareness on the RC Kicks channel lol.
Super cool Jason! Thanks for taking the time and showing this!👍
It's been a while since I have done such a detailed build video. You all deserved something good again. Thank you
Very precise work, brilliant job on the video production too, thank you
THank you.

Awesome car had like 1 minutes worth of use. Great video Jason.
It sure was like new aside from some surface markings. I was very lucky to have this sent my way and Keith's generosity is incredible
Awesome job with the video. I knew this car would be in the best hands and now we all get to benefit from your hard work. Thank you

Luv these Nikko buggies. Keith is a good guy. Thanks for your very detailed work as usual.👍
Thank you LUke.
Fascinating. What a good looking buggy. I have to own one someday. Funny all those conversion parts and they choose rods instead of a top plate.
I agree. Perhaps it's all they could do to come up with belt tension adjustments for the time 😄

Colin Grenenger told me himself that he use to import them. That's where I purchased my Super Sprint & Brat #1 kits from back around 2006
Awesome!!! Wow! Cool stuff to all involved! thankyou kindly!
Great build that, nice condition to start with and you have done a great job😊
Very Cool Jason thanks for sharing that with us 👍🏻👍🏻
I knew you'd like this video mate.
Awsome rebuild Jason, it looks like a great build aswell. Cant wait to see it on the track 😎
Nice build man! Shes def got some internals in that gearbox!
Thank you Stu.
Luis told me it looked as though someone had opened the back of a watch 😆😆😆

this soothed my autism.
This is like if power wheels decided to build a formula 1 car. And won.
It really is inspiring to see manufacturers just go for it and comes up with cars like this. Thank you for watching the content.

I have seen people race the rare Avante and do well with them. Such a cool design. Hard not to love that one.

I do not but if you contact Keith @ RC ICONS he may have what you're after
Thank you so much
