Manistee River Fly Fishing - Two Day Float

This weekend we headed north again to fish the upper Manistee river. Access to this gorgeous and under rated trout stream is limited so the stealthcraft was ideal. Cant beat a weekend in the woods camping and fishing a northern Michigan stream.

I know this is an old video, but if you're seeing this i have a question: Does the river hold trout year round or do they go out to lake michigan until they come back to spawn? Do they go out to the lake at a certain age?

Gfin the fish stay here all year. This stretch is upstream or 2 large dams so there are only resident fish
