Dry Fly Fishing from an Au Sable River Boat Spring 2018

For fish: 0:55, 2:11, 3:05, 4:59, and 7:44.
This was my first trip to the Au Sable River. Our guide was Jimmy with Gates Au Sable Lodge who was excellent. The day was beautiful with cool and sunny weather. However, the fishing was slow with cooler than usual temperatures and higher than usual water levels. Fortunately, the fish started rising mid-afternoon. The dry fly fishing was a lot of fun and we managed to land some, including my first brook trout. There were so many caddisflies flying about throughout the afternoon - I did catch one, just not on camera. Michigan, May 2018.

Actually craig. This guide has 35 years worth sensible knowledge, one of the best fishermen in northern Michigan. You might need a loud nasally guide so you can actually catch fish
