    Such a sweet video! The way newborns stay all scrunched up just like they were in the womb. And the way you look at him. Makes me remember my babies! ❤

    If you are worried about him not waking up at night and not cueing to feed you could try not swaddling him (if you are using any kind of swaddle). Those can put some babies into way too deep of a sleep than they are ready for, can increase SIDS risk because of getting them into such a deep sleep, and can cause weight gain issues due to stoping their rousing and hunger cues. Every baby reacts differently to swaddling but for some it can cause a lot of problems. You know he’s getting enough milk if he’s making 6 or more heavy wet diapers per 24hr period and gaining weight over the medium-long term. He’s probably getting lots of milk if the latch feels good - it’s your third baby and you get more milk-making tissue with each pregnancy! Lots of milk!!

    Useful tip we used for car seat trips with potty training is line the seat with an absorbent pad just in case :)

    We just found out 2 days ago that our daughter and her husband are having another baby and we are beyond thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited and I can’t hardly stand it and our other daughter and her husband are trying to get pregnant but she has lost 2 babies already so it’s been rough on all of us bc we had already bought a swing and a bouncy seat for the baby and when they went for their first ultrasound there was no heart beat and we were all thrilled bc she was due in August of 2023!!!!!!!!!!!

    Your little ones are so precious! For my daughter and potty training it was trial and error, but we started putting her on the big potty as soon as she woke up and right before she went to bed. About a week or two of that and she had it down! Boys I hear are more difficult than girls to potty train. But good job Momma and good job Jackson!

    Hey Kayla congrats on Sean! I just had my 3rd baby, a boy on August 12th. I was feeling like he wasnt getting enough to eat at night and The Lactation consultant said to keep him in a diaper so we could be Skin to skin. She said when they're bundled up all warm they will fall asleep.on the boob and nor eat as much. We've been keeping my son in a diaper and it seems ro help. We live in California and it's hot here too! Just fyi maybe putting him in a diaper might help. 😊

    How do you nighttime potty train? My son is 4 months younger than Jackson and he still wears pull-ups at night, too. And they’re always wet in the morning. I’m nervous about how to train him for nighttime. Any tips?

    • @ConstanceDunham
      @ConstanceDunham Рік тому +2

      Heya, unfortunately you can’t actually train them to hold it overnight. You need to wait until they are consistently dry overnight before removing the pull up. This is because you need to wait for the child’s bladder to mature to be able to hold that much pee. Every child is different, so their bladders mature at different rates. One thing you can try to help that along a little: make sure they do a really good pee before bed Hope that helps to take the stress off, it will happen eventually, you just need to wait 😊😊 xxx

    • @victoriasaiutina6155
      @victoriasaiutina6155 Рік тому +2

      Just wait until the pull up is dry overnight 😊 that's the trick 😅

    Potty training hack I never even thought of until baby #3 came....keep a bit of water in it. Makes poop cleaning a breeze!

  • @SunetVanDerMerwe

    I could be wrong but shouldn't you keep feeding on the one side even after burping so they can get the hind milk (fattier milk) until that boob is empty or he is done in that feeding and then if they have another feed in a few hours then change to the other boob. Otherwise they are mainly getting the foremilk which is more watery which can mean they can struggle with weight gain and possibly extra gas/upset tummy.
    Also he is very cute 😊

    24 hrs worth? Dunno if that deserves a 'yippee' or 'forget about it"....😅😉😅😉
    Honestly, if you do it right, kids can be fun. I have three kids, 4 gkids, and one on the way!! Praise the Lord. So adorable and fun. Two oldest gkids are 11 n 12, bros. The younger is super outgoing and funny. Older is quiet and unassuming. They are best buds.
    Gdaughters
    are c. 18 months and 6 mos. PTL for these phones....the girls live in tx, the boys, or 'bubz', as their dad calls'm, here in CA.
    Privileged to see'm everyday. 💗💗💗

    My kid’s pediatrician told me that as long as they are gaining weight and they weigh more that 8 lbs, I shouldn’t wake them up at night. Each child is different, speak to your pediatrician, you may not have to wake him up at night.

    I’m sorry you feel you have to go and hide away to breastfeed your baby. It’s sad that western society can be so weird about feeding human babies in the most biologically appropriate way. Breasts are for feeding babies. I hope you at least have some social circles where you can just pop baby on your boob and continue on with the conversation instead of having to go away somewhere alone with baby and miss out on things. The more we see it, the less people notice. #normalizeBreastfeeding

    I was told to not let baby excede 3-4 hours without feeding. Until you establish a steady weight gain rate. I was feeding every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours at night until he was 10 weeks old. (He took a bit to gain good weight) Once I saw his weight was great I let him sleep and wake me on demand. For that first week he went 6 hours at night. Then dropped to 5.
