Just wanted to say that you definitely are a light in my day! As a new mom to an almost 3 week old, I can’t understand how people can manage multiple tiny humans, I feel like I’m struggling with one 😅. So seeing you rock being a mom of three and talk about how you use your faith to get you through the day, really helps me. And it reminds me to rely on God’s strength to get me through the day, not my own! So thank you! 😊
I wouldn't pressure yourself to get up earlier until you are sleeping through the night. Sleep is important for so many things, but especially your immune system. This whole trend of waking up before the kids can be fine if you're able to go to bed earlier and sleep through the night.
I am 6 days postpartum after having baby #3. It has been so nice watching your videos since you were a couple months ahead of me in your pregnancy and I have been able to watch you transition from being a mom of 2 to a mom of 3. Love your videos :).
Well done on surviving your first day 🎉 You are so lucky that Joe got to stay home for a long time. My baby was born December and my husband had to go back in Jan. Loved that time together. Just a note on the sleeping... my baby also sleeps 20-30 mins at a time during the day. And then at night he sleeps quite well, only wakes up to feed. I think all babies sleep differs, just go with it. You are doing an amazing job 😊
@21:50 LMAO!! Oh man that is so relatable. I get all dressed and looking cute when my husband leaves for work and when he gets home I look like I went through a tornado. My husband is always like “what happened to you?” Haha
Oh i feel you, i have Got the same constellation at home but have not been courageous enough to begin homeschool...my heart wants it though! Your kids are super smart for their young age, great work mama!! Thanks and keep up❤ ❤❤
on a different note, I absolutely love the positive vibes and self reflection in this video and a lot of your videos the past year or so! I found you when I got pregnant with my son around the same time you had Jackson (Aemon is one month behind him) and I have been here ever since!
I just really like all of you and your family! ❤❤❤ One heart for each child and some hugs to you Kayla. My girls are grown up but still watch, lol I am wondering if Shawn gets over tired. Also they need to learn to self sooth and maybe in a more quite, dark, place. I'm just giving suggestions, you are doing great. Also I know he's young, but ×hen your ready you can do the 5 minute test let him cry a bit. He needs his rest desperately, but I know you know that!love the bracelets!
You got this mama! The part about "enjoying the day" and not just getting through it really got me. random question: What are you wearing on your face? You are glowing!
You’re talking about how God wouldn’t give you more than you could handle and I totally agree with that! I found you when I was pregnant with my first and you had just had Jackson. I’ve been watching you and your family grow since then and watching you now with Sean makes me so happy. I just had my second 5.5 months ago. With my first, I had pretty bad PPD but she was a unicorn baby. Slept through the night since 2 months. Hit no sleep regressions. Now 3 years later with my second, no PPD but man this ain’t no unicorn baby 🤣 I believe God knew I couldn’t handle this with my first having PPD and all. He told me it was time to learn with this one 👏🏻😅I’ve been having trouble with her sleep and naps as well. One thing I’d like to suggest that helped me get naps down was complete blackness of the room. I mean if any light comes through, it’s a distraction. As soon as I started blacking out her room, she started actually sleeping in her cribs for naps. I remember when she was Sean’s age though, she was doing nothing but contact naps as well and she was fighting me at those naps. I want to say it’s normal and that he’s either going through a developmental leap or some kind of sleep regression. We started the 4 month sleep regression at 3 months and 1 week. A lot of things are happening with them at this age so sleep is tough. All I could do was stick with a routine as best as I could and get through it! You’re doing amazing with 3 kiddos!!!! I love keeping up with you and things are going to get better! 🙌🏻
I love this metaphor of being promoted to being mom of 3. I have just come back from hospital with my 6 month old ( he was dehydrated), being sick myself to take care of my 3 years old who is caughing as if he was about to choke. I admire you find time to do the bible study or read! Not to mention homeschooling!
So sorry you're going through that. Highly recommend buying a nebulizer machine with a pediatric face mask, and making a recipe for hypertonic saline solution for your little one to nebulize. Works amazing to break up the congestion, fight viruses, and calm inflammation in the airway.
No advice, just wanted you to know I feel your frustration. I had a baby that would constantly scream bloody murder and was a horrible sleeper. We tried Moms On Call with no success. She was very difficult to soothe. I was in survival mode everyday and was just trying to “get through” each day because it was exhausting. Now I look back and wish I would’ve tried to enjoy the days more since she was my last 😢. The only thing that would work sometimes was the old school Fisher Price swings that rock back and forth and side to side. My baby hated the Mamaroo swing. We also had Snoo that never really worked for my baby 😢.
Definitely black out curtains. I lived in Switzerland when my daughter was born. We had roller shutters as blinds. It was pitch black. You couldn't see in the room without a light even though it was the middle of the day.
You are doing great Mama! Even in Japanese we have a saying which is "God will only give you challenges he knows you can overcome". He definitely knows you are made for this. Hope you get some rest, and thank you for still picking up the camera even on days that are full-on and challenging for you. You've got this!
Hey Kayla , I'm a mom of 3 and I just had a set of twins in August. I always say if they're really fussy and seem to never be really content if you are willing, Would u want to try a good formula to see if it will hold him longer and help with possible stomach aches and gas? I know you change ur eating so maybe it's just the waiting process to get the dairy out. But keep going, I know it's hard but ur doing a good job.
You are doing great! It's hard to get them to sleep. I used the cry it out method and after about a week my kids were taking regular naps. It's hard but worth it to keep your sanity.❤
Your doing such a great job! I have to recommend the tush baby carrier. I have a 5 month old that doesn’t like the swing or bouncer so when I’m handling my other two I just pop her onto the tush baby and go about my business one handed but waaay less stress on my hip and arms. It’s just much easier to carry them on it and when she’s ready for a nap I put her in the carrier. So yeah just a recommendation cause I’m in the exact same boat as you! Your doing such a great job!
Hi Kayla. As a suggestion only, start putting Sean in his crib for all his naps. Yes, he’s going to fuss. You are going to have to tell yourself it’s better for him (and for you) in the long run. Give him some time to self soothe. If, after 15 minutes, he’s still crying, go to him and pat his back etc., but don’t pick him up. If you have to stand next to his crib until he settles, that’s ok. When he goes to sleep and wakes up in 15 minutes, it’s because it’s a habit. You know he can’t be rested. Your goal is for him to take good and longer naps, and to sleep in his crib. The more you switch him around to different places to try and get him to sleep, the more he will expect it. You have to be consistent and strong in your mind that you are doing the right thing. Sean is adorable and irresistible. He looks so healthy, and is a happy baby. It’s not going to be easy at first to train him to sleep in his crib. I promise you, as hard as it might seem at first, you will be so happy if you succeed. It’s up to you.
So relatable!! Not everyone has a child who sleeps for 3hrs or even 30 minutes. This phase was hard when I had my eldest. You are doing amazing because you have two already and are figuring it all out! My son had a lot of colic and reflux. He had to take medicine for the reflux, but the colic didn’t stop until around 10 months. Today he’s 7 and he’s such a happy kid. So I know you will get through it too, and your are right to want to enjoy your day.. but I would say enjoy small moments.
Kayla, i’m sure you’ve heard this before but maybe try decaf coffee for a week and see if he’ll start taking naps. I’m having the same issue with my newborn and cutting caffeine seems to help. I also swaddle and put her in a lightly dim room with white noise. I usually let her cry for 10 minutes and she will fall asleep.
I have two kids and i always used a stroller up to one year to help go to sleep and its been very good and they still transfered to crib easily and they weren’t great sleepers during the night so i kept a stroller in the house! Thats just my 50 cents , people dont tell you that tip. Thanks for the vlog❤
Hi! Just wanted to say that you're doing amazing! I don't know if this would work for you, but my baby went through the same thing around-2-3 months. Nothing was settling him down. It was so frustrating! It took me a couple of weeks (or more) to realize that he was just a sensitive baby who was aware of the world now, and he was getting easily overstimulated all the time (I also have a toddler). Then I just started with the blackout curtains and white noise for every single nap alone in the room (not officially sleep training but not napping everywhere like he used to). It took me a few days but he got used to it! His fusiness went down to like 20%! I just have to watch his wake windows and no over-stimulation for him. If he ever starts to get fussy, I would take him to the dark room and he calms down immediately. Hope this works!
Takingcarababies 3-4 month class. I was literally losing my shit after that many weeks of unsuccessful soothing and sleeping. I wasn’t the lucky one who got a chill baby. But By the time I took the class- my son was sleeping 10+ hours a night and naps were amazing too. Babies thrive on consistency like sound machine and black out curtains every single nap and bedtime. but the class is so much more helpful and effective vs just winging it. I can email you the ebook that goes along with it the class I just don’t have access to the videos anymore. Just being kind and helpful. Stay strong.
Good job mama!! I feel you on having a baby that doesn’t settle!! Idk if you’ve tried, but a few things that would help my sanity and to get them to chill out a little was doing skin to skin, literally them just laying on my b00bs lol, but also, singing, I would just sing about how tired I was or about wanting them to sleep, just making up songs lol! It’s rough but super proud of you!!
My daughter was the same, she slept decently for up to 2 months during the day (so the newborn phase) then she has napped so poorly after that, even now that she's 11 months and she did long stretches at night up to 6 months but would wake up once or twice. Ever since then she sleeps next to me because she nurses and is super attached to me. Because I'm next to her she wakes up to nurse 4 times. If my husband sleeps next to her she sleeps longer stretches. I wish I could tell you she's gotten better but she hasn't and she's a year old in 10 days😭. She naps poorly, wakes up super fast and sometimes doesn't even do a sleep cycle. Naps for us look like putting her back to sleep at least twice with each nap. Not all naps are more than an hour long and some naps last 20 minutes. Glorious are the naps that last 2+ hrs which all require putting her back to nap multiple times. Some days she just refuses the nap and goes to be at 6:45pm
You are doing great working hard to get your baby some sleep. Not sure if this will help, but I have found that the major reason for my kids having short naps when they do is because they are overtired and they tend to wake up early whenever I keep them up too long. They then require lots of rocking and sleeping on me to get a descent nap. Young babies can get overtired really easily, even if you are 5-10min late on putting them down when they are tired. With each of my kids, it took me some time to learn what their tired signs were to be able to get them to bed on time to be able to have a good nap. Hope this helps and you are able to get some better sleep!
I have the love to dream swaddle and the halo sleep sack swaddle. I noticed my daughter didn’t really sleep well in the love to dream swaddle but slept in longer increments in the halo swaddle. Maybe try the halo swaddle to see if he just needs a different swaddle to help him sleep better.
You did awesome for day 1 🎉🎉🎉 also if he goes to sleep in the car, you may be able to get the baby to fall asleep in the car around nap time. And give the bigger kids iPads and get a coffee 😂
Hi Kayla You are doing a great job looking after your kids and you can do all thing through Christ who strengthens you . Remember that you are growing Saints . I have a suggestion it may help with Sean sleeping. Try to Brest fed him while you lying down in your bed and he is on your bed too so if he sleeps while being fed you can sneak out for few minutes as you will not transfer him to his cot.
I am a Muslim but inspite of that I fell so connected to you I am a mom of afour year old but I am also preparing for a exam Plzz pray for me I love watching you ...I feel so relaxed after watching your vedios Love u all ...May God bless you
Have you asked his doctor about silent reflux? My son had it and he was so so fussy and could not sleep because he was uncomfortable. Once we got him on medication he was so much more comfortable and could sleep better and was happier
You might have a low sleep needs baby--my first who's Jackson's age, never napped long until I realized he functioned best with no naps or less naps, longer wake windows to get him to nap without me.
Me too. I was SO stressed about it and just came to realize I just have a kid that only needed one nap a day at 9 months and only slept at most 10 hours a night. Once I gave up on trying to force a nap we were both much happier haha. Would I have loved a kid that slept 12 hours at night and took 2 two hour naps a day, sure, but that’s not what I got and I’m thankful to not have the nap battle multiple times a day
One more comment, for you little baby, have you tried using one of those hanging chairs that you hang from a beam on the roof --I'm not sure what they are called...2 in 1 Outdoor Indoor Baby Jumper Toddler Swing Infant Swing Set with Stand Frame
Have you thought about putting him down for every nap in his crib or bassinet? I'm wondering if maybe he is wanted you to hold him because you do for the other naps he takes during the day. Not quite sleep training but just like ok bud listen from now your sleeping in the crib or bassinet end of story if that would help ? My son was a horrific sleeper still is and he is five 🤣
This may be a duh comment...and I am sure you've tried it...but have you tried having Sean go to sleep without a swaddle? My son REFUSED to get quality sleep while he was in a sleeper but as soon as I took him out, he started sleeping great within a week/week and a half max! Might be worth a try!
Good morning! Maybe you've already explained it in the past, but have you considered daycare for the oldest? Maybe there's a Christian one in your area? Or maybe a nanny for a few days a week
one last suggestion, regarding baby, you could just let him hang out with the other children. He might just want to see what is going on with everyone else and to see out at eveything that they are doing. Even if they get oud and fumbunktious, let him experience that. He might eventually get tired on his own and sleep. Also, let him wimper and cry a bit. See how long that lasts --seems to me that it won't last long if he is easily destracted by his siblings.
Hi Kayla have try swing chair with baby Sean and so you spend time with Other kids, bloody hard know with young baby my daughter used love it as want me carry her all the time as like baby Sean meant couldn’t get anything done it in the house or other idea put something under mattress in pack and play or baby crib so mattress in up in slanted at his head.meaning one part of mattress is up and other part mattress is down
I really appreciate your blog. It's so beautiufl and you are a wonderful mom. Just a little note and obserrvation. Your ioldest one, I notice that you hardly ever touch her or cuddle with her as you do the boys. She might be picking up on this and it could have some emotional scarring n the future. Your are so kind and good, but just wanted to bring that to your attention. Personally, I would love to see you try to be more aware of this and show touching affection to her on your blog. Remember, evn though she is the oldes one, she is still a little girls. How oldis she? 4 or 5?
Just wanted to say that you definitely are a light in my day! You are so uplifting. I am so happy that you are a believer. I enjoy watching your vlogs. Sean is so cute. I hope that he can start napping with ease.

I can totally relate to the chaos of a day in the life of a mom with three kids. You're a supermom.
You got this mama! The part about "enjoying the day" and not just getting through it really got me.
random question: What are you wearing on your face? You are glowing!
Things I’d try..
100% black out curtains
A new swaddle/sleep sack
Consistent naps in his crib
Taking him to a chiropractor
You’re talking about how God wouldn’t give you more than you could handle and I totally agree with that! I found you when I was pregnant with my first and you had just had Jackson.
Blackout curtains in nursey and maybe your bedroom ! The light may be wakibg him up !
Absolutely would be doing black out curtains. Like pitch black
Definitely black out curtains. I lived in Switzerland when my daughter was born. We had roller shutters as blinds. It was pitch black. You couldn't see in the room without a light even though it was the middle of the day.
I just get my babies used to everything sleep whenever and wherever

Riley is so sweet with sean
Hi Kayla
You are doing a great job looking after your kids and you can do all thing through Christ who strengthens you .
Remember that you are growing Saints .
I have a suggestion it may help with Sean sleeping. Try to Brest fed him while you lying down in your bed and he is on your bed too so if he sleeps while being fed you can sneak out for few minutes as you will not transfer him to his cot.
Have you ever tried baby chiropractor? I heard that helps colicky babies really well. I’m not sure if that’s something you are comfortable with.
Hey, have you tried gripe water for trapped gas for your baby? It might help him sleep for longer x
I am a Muslim but inspite of that I fell so connected to you
I am a mom of afour year old but I am also preparing for a exam
Plzz pray for me
I love watching you ...I feel so relaxed after watching your vedios
Love u all ...May God bless you
Good morning have a bless day ❤
Where is Jackson’s bed sheets from? 😊
How to calm your baby? I really want to see how you soothe your baby in moby wrap, thank you very much
Have you asked his doctor about silent reflux? My son had it and he was so so fussy and could not sleep because he was uncomfortable. Once we got him on medication he was so much more comfortable and could sleep better and was happier
I second this
You might have a low sleep needs baby--my first who's Jackson's age, never napped long until I realized he functioned best with no naps or less naps, longer wake windows to get him to nap without me.
Have you tried a swing? My baby loved his!
Are you feeding him right before putting him to sleep? Maybe his stomach is bothering him and it’s not dairy related? Are you doing eat play sleep?
Have you thought about putting him down for every nap in his crib or bassinet? I'm wondering if maybe he is wanted you to hold him because you do for the other naps he takes during the day. Not quite sleep training but just like ok bud listen from now your sleeping in the crib or bassinet end of story if that would help ? My son was a horrific sleeper still is and he is five 🤣
Next vlog, how to calm a crying baby until it is quiet, thanks
This may be a duh comment...and I am sure you've tried it...but have you tried having Sean go to sleep without a swaddle? My son REFUSED to get quality sleep while he was in a sleeper but as soon as I took him out, he started sleeping great within a week/week and a half max! Might be worth a try!
Hi Kayla, is there a non religious curriculum you could recommend?
Good morning! Maybe you've already explained it in the past, but have you considered daycare for the oldest? Maybe there's a Christian one in your area? Or maybe a nanny for a few days a week
I don’t think a nanny is in the budget for them.
one last suggestion, regarding baby, you could just let him hang out with the other children.
Very good suggestion
I wonder if he could be teething. My son cut his first tooth at 2 months
Hi Kayla have try swing chair with baby Sean and so you spend time with Other kids, bloody hard know with young baby my daughter used love it as want me carry her all the time as like baby Sean meant couldn’t get anything done it in the house or other idea put something under mattress in pack and play or baby crib so mattress in up in slanted at his head.meaning one part of mattress is up and other part mattress is down
Silent reflux? X
How old is Sean now. ?
He’ll be 3 months old tomorrow!
@@KaylaBuell thank you I haven’t been watching in awhile, he’s absolutely adorable like your other 2 ❤️🥰
I really appreciate your blog. 4 or 5?
COLIC, get him checked, he could need infacol or colic drops.
