auralite moon it takes a lot of strength to go through pregnancy, childbirth and becoming a new parent without having your own mother to confide and talk to. Good luck on your journey, I’m sure you’re a wonderful mother and she’ll be looking down on you with pride. ❤️
auralite moon I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad two months before I got pregnant too, and this too after trying for 14 years. I feel like it’s my Dad’s prayers that are bringing this sweet angel into my arms after so long, and I think your Mom will live though you and this gift of your incoming angel. Lots of well wishes for you and your baby and my condolences for your Mom
21 year old male, our baby boy is due oct 20th wish me luck Edit: he was born early oct 12 2019 8:14 pm Edit:thanks everyone in the comments for support I hope you all the best!
I love your attitude. Most moms on UA-cam make these videos and make it seem like they are the authority on this, but you keep mentioning things and explaining that you do something not that well or simply it may not be the best thing to do. Thank you for being real!
Right?! The internet’s got everything-parenting hacks, survival guides, and even a few secret weapons for those sleepless nights. 😂 If you’re ever looking for ways to make things a bit easier, there’s always new stuff popping up to help along the way
I LOVE that you say “that’s ok” for most things that moms usually stress about or get scared... it’s a whole new world for mom and baby, specially at the beginning when both are trying to figure out things, but it gets better and moms should know that it’s TOTALLY normal to mess up and to make mistakes and to cry when you feel overwhelmed... and also to hand the baby to someone else if you need to catch your breath. ❣️🙌🏻
Yes! This is so accurate. I’m a first time mom, my baby is one month old and it was tough the first week home from the hospital...it will get better y’all...I’ve felt every emotion you can think of and the ultimate result is feeling more confident in what you’re doing and feeling more at ease. Always ask your pediatrician if you have ANY questions, that’s what they’re there for. Every friend or relative will give you their two cents so be ready for that...just take their advice and go on with your day, no need to debate or be rude with them and their opinions. Everything will feel overwhelming, but remember to breathe...walk away if you need to and if you have a support person either your significant other or a friend/relative have them take over for a while. It’ll help, trust!
ramrodnj um....?! don’t tell people to “get off the pill”. it’s her choice, and it’s keeping her from getting pregnant. birth control pills are very safe. i mean sure, using the combination pill can slightly increase health problems but they are VERY rare. i’ve been on it for two years and all it has done has made my periods longer, but they were oddly short before. don’t go spreading this stuff
I love how you mentioned getting hand-me-down items. I never feel ashamed getting used items for my baby. It saves money and it’s perfectly good stuff! Plus, it’s usually FREE! ☺️
One important thing to note is that if you're getting things like carseats, swings, cribs, etc. secondhand to see if it's been recalled or not. Especially since carseats actually have an expiration date. Cute baby, by the way 🙂
Also if it’s been in any accident. At least when my sister in law got in a car accident her insurance had to reimburse them for a new car seat cause it’s considered “damaged”.
I was going to say the same thing. Used car seats are pretty strongly discouraged because A) unless it belonged to your best friend or sibling, you can't know if it was in any car accidents, and if it was, then it may have structural damage and is considered unsafe. B) SO MANY baby products get recalled, so it's important to double check on this, and C) Car seats DO expire--typically they're considered expired 5-6 years from the manufacturing date, because safety technology advances so quickly.
You are pure sunshine! I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I'm feeling so lousy with sickness and tiredness but watching this makes me much more positive about the things to come!
@TASIAXO Aw you're sweet 😭💖. Thank you so much, it took me so long to find happiness. Still scared to be a mom but the support I have from my family and friends let's me know I'll be alright.
I love that you say “it’s okay” to take care of yourself first very quickly then the baby. The way I check the temp of my baby’s bath is with my elbow. Its like your wrist when checking a bottles temp!
I’m 24 and pregnant, my mum and brother are on the other side of Australia and can’t visit due to our states restrictions for covid.. your videos are so helpful and comforting without it just being an a big ad. Sending love from aus x
I have raised three kids already, but it still felt good to watch this video! Brought back so many precious memories! I hope all the mothers and mothers to be enjoy and cherish all the time they spend with their babies 💕, good luck y'all.
Do you want to be friends with me on tex I'm a girl I'm 38 old I'm in a wheel chair my body hurts me every day so if I ask you too play with your body on tex
Your calmness and the way you describe everything has really put my mind at ease with this being my first baby! Thank you! Looking forward to more videos❤️
I don’t know if it’s the pregnancy hormones or it’s how adorable your baby is but I cried the whole way through. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This information is vital!!
I've been watching your videos for several weeks leading up to the birth of my first baby. I'm so grateful for your real take on caring for baby, as most of the other content creators I've watched seem to fake a lot to make things look pretty.
The number of times you said “I’m not very good at this…” made me feel so sad because you are doing just perfectly amazing! Your baby looks so, so loved and happy and I hope you know you’ve helped a lot of women (and men, I’m sure) who haven’t had role models or any experience feel better about raising a tiny human. Your video is so sweet and authentic and you ARE very good at being a mother and doing absolutely everything your baby needs! 🥺🤍
im not even close to being ready/having a child, but i appreciate that you even made this video. it really seemed like you explained ALL the basics, not skipping things because it may be "common knowledge" i know this video will/has helped many new parents/expecting parents
I just wanna say, thank you for making these videos. Not selling anything just being helpful. I’m a mom of two now and I send it to every first time mom I know because it really is everything you need to know.
I don’t usually comment on things but I was a frequent watcher over three years ago and now I’m back three years later expecting my first and watching again.💗 thank you for the information!
I found out today our best friends are 4 weeks pregnant! I can't tell anybody yet, and it's so hard because I'm so excited! I don't even know why I'm watching this lol, I guess I'm just excited about baby things now
When my sister was pregnant, I gave her some baby burp cloths as a gift. Now the little niece is born. It is very useful. I recommend it to you. I hope it will help you: amzn.to/2Plg3YX
Wife is due in May. I'm watching this and alternating between genuine excitement and abject terror. I really wish there was a better way to get ready. (Not just a few hours at a parenting class, but like a whole semester's worth of studying and practicing.) It feels like I'm going in mostly blind to (arguably) one of the most important jobs in my life...
I'm due in May too! I'm worried too but I have a but load of books to read, my mom and antenatal classes as well as my husband It'll be okay-- we can do this!
Aww I love how you're trying to learn! Your partner will appreciate it so much. I wish my partner was trying to learn and prepare for our son, I'm 27 weeks pregnant 😞
This is such a cool take from a dad! Good for you for taking the job of parenthood seriously and for trying to prepare. You sound amazing and your baby is so lucky!
The sentence „congratulatings you’re having a baby“ FREAKED me out because I was like AM I PREGNANT and then i remembered no I‘m not it’s just me in the middle of the night watching this video
“I can whistle!…just kidding. I can’t whistle.” Lol you are hilarious 😂 as a first time mom, who is currently dying in her first trimester and watching all the mom videos, this was wonderful!
Do you want to be friends with me on tex I'm a girl I'm 38 old I'm in a wheel chair my body hurts me every day so if I ask you too play with your body on tex I'm
Pregnant with my third so I in no way “needed” this video but it was so enjoyable! I do wish this had been here when I had my first, more for the disposition than anything else. Glad to see someone happily caring for a baby.
I first watched this when I wasn't pregnant just out of curiosity and now I am pregnant w, my first baby. Thankful for this as someone without a mom :)
My husband did all those things because I had unexpected emergency caesarean and septic shock. I was in emergency room unable to function and in pain, having morphine hallucinations for more than week during which I remember seeing kid only twice. Then slow recovery. Having supportive husband who knows how to do baby things is really helpful. He also get paid 3 months parental leave.
Pregnant with my second, and due in November. Even though this will be my second child, this is such a good reminder of what that newborn stage is really like and I will definitely come back to this closer to my due date for a refresher. Thanks Jess!
We’re expecting a little girl in 2 months and the way you present is so informative, relaxed, human and helpful. The way you interact with Wilson is so lovely to watch. Thank you.
15:55 I have never heard of anyone using breast milk as a healing agent before, but it actually does make sense scientifically. Breast milk carries the mother's antibodies (etc.) to help build the baby's immune system. :)
Man, it’s so bizarre to think these giant headed fluffy things will eventually grow into, like, full blown *adult humans* I mean, yeah, it makes sense- it would be weirder if they turned into animals or vegetables or something but still- when you really think about it its so weird and cool and just wow
Honestly you seem like one the sweetest and most positive people I’ve ever seen and you are so encouraging of others and it’s so beautiful and I love and admire you so much for it ❤️
Someone may have mentioned this before but, baby loungers (dockad*t, sn*ggleme organic, etc) are not to be used unsupervised!! Other than that, I loved this video! I’m having a baby Nov 2020 and this was helpful and fun to watch. To part two we go! :)
FTM here of a 2 week old. Thank you for jumping right in to a lot of great information. I feel encouraged and confident that I’m doing the right thing-so far. I’ll be looking out for your videos.
As a woman planning her first child... not even pregnant yet... I just wanted to say you’re absolutely amazing! Thank you for taking the time to do this down to earth 101 ❤️❤️
Hello there ☺️💓 I saw your comment from 2years ago and I was wondering if you had a baby since then? If this question is to personal, disregard. I'm genuinely curious. 💓 Hope you and your loved ones are happy and healthy. 💝
You are so sweet, down to earth and very helpful! 37 weeks with my first, and this video has given me a knowledgable glimpse into life with baby!! Thanks!
Love the way you are using a real baby to demonstrate everything when in other videos I checked, there was only oral presentation. Useful and encouraging video, thank you.
All I have to say is he amazing and thank you for this video. Like..... Seriously. I'm 28 weeks going on 29 tomorrow and I've been getting into the nesting mode. There is only so much you can do when it's covid and your nursery room stuff is coming in the mail. I'm due beginning July 2021 . I've been looking into child lock for later, hospital details, covid regulations, 24hour newborn vlogs and yours by far is the best I've seen for advice. It feels like your talking to me lol and I've had questions about where to put baby when I need to use the bathroom, take a shower etc. My mind has moved to making room in our kitchen for baby food and bowls and bottles when that time comes. Luckily I've been blessed with people around me whom I get plenty of advice from but I love your video.
You make me excited and confident in becoming a mother. You're down to earth, humorous, and detailed. Amazing. Very helpful. Thank you. Baby Wilson is luck to have such an enthusiastic mother. 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
Ok this is BEYOND HELPFUL! Currently 31 weeks and absolutely clueless. This is so helpful to find a video that simply and easily describes how to do everything! Thank you!
I'm 31 weeks pregnant and I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing haha even though i"m almost 30. Thank you for all your info of the basic things! This is exactly what I needed! I am so glad I found your channel!
Also lol blowing you up but my son is a year and a half and this is making me sooooooo sad and miss this SO MUCH... so new mamas know that you’ll miss it when they aren’t little anymore! Those baby noises are making my heart melt!!!
I do not say this lightly, you are the first not-annoying UA-camr I’ve ever listened to. I’ve watched just shy of 37 million because I’m pregnant with my first and just..thank you🙏🏼
i love that you use "plug him up." when you talk about the pacifier LOL! it's so funny to me. really really solid video for new moms. I'm not pregnant, yet. However, i would have never thought about the diaper lining trick. That's great. love this video.
Abby good luck with everything :) I hope all goes well. I’ve never been pregnant (most likely) it’s so so tough but I know there are people able to support you. I hope all goes easy and safe for you
I’m 18 and pregnant and don’t have any family to help me out with this stuff . This video was so cute and helpful ! I loved this videooo UPDATE : I lost my baby for the second time and still alone :/
Thank you so much I'm 38 years old and I am 7.5 weeks pregnant now. I am utterly new to this mom world, however thanks to this useful videos I am learning little by little.
Im 19, I don’t have a baby, I’m not planning to have a baby soon(although I’m a sucker for babies in general) and I have binge watched 5-6 baby information videos for no reason whatsoever haha…buttt this is actually really helpful! And I’m saying it even when I have no exp at all…I hope the baby and you are great! God bless💞

Whats your due date? Mine is January 2nd 2021!
Omg same..
i'm due january 26th! congrats mamas 🥰
I love your attitude. Most moms on UA-cam make these videos and make it seem like they are the authority on this, but you keep mentioning things and explaining that you do something not that well or simply it may not be the best thing to do. Thank you for being real!
omg you know how people joke and say "there's no handbook to parenting?" not anymore. this is it.
i love the internet
That still stands he's just a baby, no talk back, behavioral correction, ect
Isabella J. Just want to say, u are so pretty
You should check out dunstan baby language if you want your mind blown. It's next level when it comes to being a handbook of parenting.

Miss Dulcet I’m so happy for you ! What’s her name?
Hope your first year has been a blast! 💛
Hopefully the first year was great!
She said “I can go clubbing “😂 lol she’s goofy at times. I love it.
I liked how she mailed the letter 😂
Boa Hernandez 😂😂right!!!
And the whistle 😂 "just kidding, I can't whistle" 😂
Me: 16, on the pill, not planing for a baby anytime soon
Also me: need to get a head start
LMAO as a 20 year old, I agree. But I'm not having kids anytime soon.
Lmao same girl same 😂
Get off the pill it’s insanely bad for you
ramrodnj um....?! don’t tell people to “get off the pill”. it’s her choice, and it’s keeping her from getting pregnant. birth control pills are very safe. i mean sure, using the combination pill can slightly increase health problems but they are VERY rare. i’ve been on it for two years and all it has done has made my periods longer, but they were oddly short before. don’t go spreading this stuff
Well you never know when this information will come in handy. Might help out a friend someday! :)
The motion she did when she said “I can mail a letter” killed me 😂😂😂😂
I subscribed because of it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
darlizzle hahaha yeah
Saaaame here. Best moment of the video hahahaha she's so funny
And the sound effects with it😂
I love how you mentioned getting hand-me-down items. I never feel ashamed getting used items for my baby. It saves money and it’s perfectly good stuff! Plus, it’s usually FREE! ☺️
I’m 38 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Super nervous. Thank you for the tips!
COACH MJ best of luck on your delivery. Congrats on your new little baby :)

Wishing you a wonderful delivery 💕
37 weeks with my first baby, also super nervous! We'll make it! ❤❤
YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!! 💪💪💪
One important thing to note is that if you're getting things like carseats, swings, cribs, etc. secondhand to see if it's been recalled or not. Especially since carseats actually have an expiration date. Cute baby, by the way 🙂
Really? Wasn't aware of this
second hand car seats especially are considered a bad idea. please be careful
Also if it’s been in any accident. At least when my sister in law got in a car accident her insurance had to reimburse them for a new car seat cause it’s considered “damaged”.
Wait really????
I was going to say the same thing. Used car seats are pretty strongly discouraged because A) unless it belonged to your best friend or sibling, you can't know if it was in any car accidents, and if it was, then it may have structural damage and is considered unsafe. This is such a cool take from a dad! Good for you for taking the job of parenthood seriously and for trying to prepare. You sound amazing and your baby is so lucky!
The 680 people that disliked this weren't ever swaddled and hate their life because this was great! She is so cute and her baby is adorable
I love how she says with each step "I'm not very good at that", and then does everything like a pro.

I really suggest everyone takes child care courses ! The test are easy and affordable but you learn al lot about how to care for a baby and children!
SpiritHawk7 I’ve used breast milk for ear infections and even on a sty! And it works. Sorry for tmi...
Oh wow. This is a widely taught thing where i live in london. Preggo Classes tell u this too. Truly is amazing. :) :)
SpiritHawk7 I used it on my daughter's eye when she got an infection
Me: Is never going to have a baby
Also me: Sure, I’ll watch this
I don’t really get the joke?🙅🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
Emmie B it’s okay, happens
Emmie B well, 310 did.
Nun Ya I’m still confused 👉🏿🤞👍🏿✋🏾🙏🏽🦶🏿🙆🏻♂️💁🏿♀️🧖🏿♂️💃🏼
Im scared too
I watch these not for a child of my own but because I just feel so nervous around babies in general. Such a calm and gentle way to learn about babies!
I’m due August 20 and I’m so glad I watched this I’ll never leave my baby asleep in the car seat without supervision 😫
Wilson is so beautiful!
I am 27 weeks with my first, thank you thank for all your videos! You are a blessing.
Man, it’s so bizarre to think these giant headed fluffy things will eventually grow into, like, full blown *adult humans*
I mean, yeah, it makes sense- it would be weirder if they turned into animals or vegetables or something but still- when you really think about it its so weird and cool and just wow
Did you just say 'giant headed fluffy things' grow into 'full blown adult humans'?? Now that is one adorable way to describe childhood 💙💙
You are a weird person.......
I like you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When my daughter had colic and was screaming her head off I reminded myself that I’ve never seen a 17 year old with colic 😳😳🤗
I wish we could grow into vegetables.
into the mystic same
I’m gonna be a dad in two weeks time and just found your channel to be very helpful!. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Honestly you seem like one the sweetest and most positive people I’ve ever seen and you are so encouraging of others and it’s so beautiful and I love and admire you so much for it ❤️
Expecting due december...just thinking bout seeing my baby for the first time wells my eyes up with tears of joy....it's gonna be beautiful ....
Congratulations on your new little one!! You're doing so good.
I'm not even pregnant but I feel like this video is going to help me immensely whenever I have my babies :D
Teen dad, my fiancé is due in December 2019
Nice username 😂 jkjk. I wish you luck with your baby!

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t be an amazing dad and husband 💜💜💜
Awww good luck 🥺🥺🥺
Seven weeks pregnant! This melts my heart. Such a sweet little baby. I can't wait to meet mine 😍
What a good baby! He reminds me of my boy, as long as he’s not hungry or tired he’s down to whatever 🤣
I have a 6 đây old and felt overwhelmed like i do everything wrong . This feels like a best friend helping me out 💕
All I have to say is he amazing and thank you for this video. Like.....
“Congratulations your having a baby” I am?!
You make me excited and confident in becoming a mother. You're down to earth, humorous, and detailed. Amazing. Very helpful. Thank you. Baby Wilson is luck to have such an enthusiastic mother. 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
I've been having a tough preggo day, and the car seat carrying had me rolling with laughter, which I very much needed :)
Baby is still in womb n is of 5 months now....this was really helpful specially for first time moms..... lot's of love from India

When I was pregnant, my baby's essentials were ordered at the Amazon DEFONO store, I hope to help you
I'm about a decade away from having kids but I'm so grateful for this video!! 💗

Anyone else pregnant and terrified? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Abby good luck with everything :) I hope all goes well. I’ve never been pregnant (most likely) it’s so so tough but I know there are people able to support you. I hope all goes easy and safe for you

And I’m saying it even when I have no exp at all…I hope the baby and you are great! God bless💞
