Written by Barry, Maurice and Robin for Dionne Warwick and released in 1982. A worldwide smash hit for her.
Ironically the Bee Gees actually covered their own song, recording it about a decade later and finally releasing it a further decade down the track!
Originally going to be on an album called Love songs to be released around Valentines Day, along with Rings around the moon and Love never dies but the album was scraped for reasons unknown. Then they went to work on the brilliant Still Waters album.

Their sheer quality shines through in superlative melodies, catchy hooks, harmony singing and great ability to play, both live and in the studio. Sadly only Barry remains and the BeeGees are no more, but what a catalogue of sublime music.
The vocal harmony of the chorus alone makes this song a masterpiece.
That same vocal harmony on the chorus is what made Dionne Warwicks version sound as rich as it did because they sang it on the song written for her.

Nothing they do is ever bad, but I love what Dionne Warwick did to this song. There was such power and emotion. This is much more sedate. This song brings me right back to Fall 1982. Good times.

In my opinion the Bee Gees were better song writers than the Beatles. Their songs are layered, unique, well written, and a delicious feast for the ears. Their music as the Aussie's say "spoke volumes." They could write a hit song in their sleep....60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's still writing hits. 4 decades of magic from the most talented brothers in pop music history.
