      Musicrecords10 I totally disagree cause all oj was doing was thinking of all the things he has to throw away for just a crime he did nah comment.. He looks pretty decent an the he represents himself with the tone is sure enuff to say he ain't no guilty. Tho sometimes I try to run away frm the situation it doesn't mean I'm Wong. It means I'm just taking me time out. I need sometime to think an relax an prepare me self to certain situations. When situation like this comes it doesn't know yo door by giving yo a warning. Things just happen. What I see is someone just wanted oj to come down in the eye of public. Coz he is quiet a wealthy public figure.

    I’d just like to comment on Johnny Cochran’s famous line “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” The demonstration showing Simpson struggling (in an intentionally theatrical manner....he’s an actor, remember?) to put the bloody gloves on. There are 3 things that were done to guarantee the defenses objective : 1. Blood coagulates within minutes. When leather gloves are subjected to blood, and then coagulates, it causes the leather to lose it’s pliability and causes shrinkage. 2. Simpson was trying the bloody gloves on while wearing latex gloves. The latex would “grab” onto the inside surfaces of the leather gloves causing them to be very difficult to put on, in addition to creating more bulk. This scenario would make it nearly impossible to put the gloves on. This is especially difficult since usually leather gloves are designed to fit snugly. 3. Simpson was on anti-inflammatory medication for joint pain and swelling. He was instructed by his attorneys to stop taking this medication for several days or weeks beforehand so that his hands and joints would swell, making it significantly more difficult to, not only get the gloves on but, also cause pain. The pain would also cause Simpson to pull less forcefully than he ordinarily would to get the gloves on. The demonstration was a fiasco designed to purposely make it appear the gloves could not possibly belong to O. J. Simpson. They did belong to Simpson. Nicole had bought them as a Christmas gift for Simpson.

    • @lecorsaire2283
      @lecorsaire2283 8 років тому +4

      +CityChristina I think he spoke very well throughout the entire interview. Remember guilty or not, this guy had just spent almost a year and a half in prison and sat through one of the longest and most scrutinized trials in history. Even though he is protected under double jeopardy, he had to be very careful to not phrase things in a way that could be spun against him. Even if he was coached, this interview had aspects of an interrogation and anyone unless they are a top tier politician or lawyer can trip up in a live unedited recording like this one. Just look at all the mistakes Trump has made when speaking off the cuff for extended periods when he is not at a rally and being interviewed. What did people expect him to do? To say that he did it laugh about it?

    • @lecorsaire2283
      @lecorsaire2283 8 років тому +2

      +CityChristina I also empathized with him given that his savings were cleaned out with all of his legal fees. This man had young children to provide for at that time. Corporations and sponsors had turned their back on him since even though he was acquitted, he was viewed as toxic and damaged goods as far as being the face of a company or starring in commercials. He needed to produce income and produce it fast. If he really didn't do it, then what happened to him, although he wasn't the one murdered is just as unjust. Without Cochran, Bailey and Shapiro, his chances of being set free were very slim. I think guilty or innocent, he was a very lucky man that everything fell into place: the racist cop, Fuhrman, the glove, the socks, the EDTA in the blood, a history of LAPD abuse against blacks, an incompetent DA team. I think this was like winning the lottery. I would not have bet money on his acquittal. Unfortunately he took the bait when he was set up 13 years later.

    • @lecorsaire2283
      @lecorsaire2283 8 років тому +4

      +CityChristina I'm pretty sure Mr. Goldman had to have been behind that set up. Who informed O.J. that these people had his stuff. He had to have been provoked by someone. Again these were his possessions including that Heisman trophy. Given what he went through during his prior trial, he should've just let it go and he was foolish to do what he did. They judge really went hard on him and no doubt sentenced him for the murders he was found not guilty for. 33 years is pretty excessive for what he did. There are rapists, DUI killers, etcetera who get far less time. I think anything over 8-10 was not just for what he did. one of my friends from junior high murdered his ex around 6-7 years ago and got a similar sentence. What he did was not that much different than what happened to Nicole, and O.J. gets as many years for robbery? He deserves to be released on parole next year. It will have been 9 years already and at his age he does not present any danger to society.

  • @user-sd7qt3hy8l
    @user-sd7qt3hy8l 9 років тому +180

    isn't it obvious. As soon as O.J. won the case, it was suddenly closed. They just stopped. They stopped looking for the killer, nor was there any interest in who killed Nicole and Ron.
    The reason why they stopped investigating the case is because the person who killed them just got off scott free. They all know O.J. did it, even O.J. himself knows he did it. That's why they never re-investigated the case after O.J. was let go. Because they had noone to go after anymore lol.

      @ezekielthemack 9 років тому +4

      @Rogerthatx10 9 років тому +8

      TheGBPM Afro hair was found on the murder scene and Nicole and Ron's blood was found in his Ford Bronco and his drive way. Police were not careful when collecting evidence and it was 'contaminated'. It is only disputed because of the so-called 'contaminaton', not what it is. He was a big star and it would be hard to preserve the scene. Giving someone a pass based on procedure flaws does not mean he didn't do it. Also DNA testing was in its infancy...if only they could have tested the skin of her assailant found beneath her nails.

    Just like on "OJ Made in America", a female reporter said that OJ makes you feel like you wanna believe he's innocent, wanna believe that this charming, intelligent and engaging man couldn't be the monster that killed two people. I naively rooted for OJ, I was 16-17 years old, a young black boy wanting to believe that this "African American Hero" didn't do it. Well, not only was I wrong, I don't see any other person on the planet that could've committed these murders. I feel ashamed that I rooted for a man, millions of Black Americans rooted for...but he never rooted for us. He seemed to live in a world where he shielded himself from the reality of the life of a black person, mainly because, he wasn't seen as a "black man", he was "OJ"...well Mr. Simpson, you're a "black man" now, who committed two gruesome murders...while you're children lay in bed sleep. What if the kids woke up and found their mom like that? He didn't care. That's despicable...and now we don't care about him.

I didn't want to believe it at first since I loved him in the naked gun. After watching the ESPN documentary it lets you know how sick he truly is. He beat the shit out of Nicole for years and locked her in closets, did mad drugs, stalked her everywhere and watched her have sex with that guy Keith through her window. Crazy Shit.

      "OJ Made In America" was a great documentary!
      I was 4-5 years old when all this happened and it was fascinated me every since he was found not guilty. When that moment happened, I told myself "Naw he did it" because he gave the same reaction I give if/when I get away with stuff less worse then murder.
      But I wanted to say I don't think you should feel bad for cheering or rooting for that sellout because, from watching the documentary, not every black person was rooting for him BUT against the LAPD. And rightfully so... they killed Notorious BIG and beat up Rodney King and got away with it.
      I'm proud to be a black man and nothing will ever change me mind to make me think differently about his guilt in those murders

    Am I the only one who finds it weird that OJ only got a cut in the middle finger? Who kills two young strong people and only gets a cut in the finger? Not even bruises or anything. Imo, OJ payed a hitman to kill Nicole and was waiting outside Brentwood disguised, to make it sure the hitman was going to do the job ( control freak) . Ron was unexpected. He was there in the wrong time, wrong place and they went out of their plan. As Ron came there, OJ probably interfers and holds Ron and while the hitman stabs Ron, he accidentally cuts OJ's finger. OJ takes the glove to check the wound and he drops it there, and leaves in panic, hence the shoe print in victims blood. Why would he wear expensive shoes to kill them btw? Unless he planned to leave as soon as the hitman was done with Nicole, so he could have an alibi. But things didnt go that way .

    Innocent people don't publish books called "If I Did It" in which they make a hypothetical, teaser (but incredibly detailed) confession and admit to deluding themselves about whether it was real.
    The best karmic thing about that was he thought the book was going to be a big payday for him, but the Goldmans and Browns seized it through the courts. The very same day of the judgment, OJ held up those memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas because he needed some other source of money...landing him in jail where he rots to this day. Unfortunately he'll be eligible for parole next year.

      +Daniel Dougan Well, he did need money. Public opinion pretty much determined that he would not make money again. So even if he didn't do it that was the best way, in his opinion, to ensure he gets enough because that was the burning question. The same applies to George Zimmerman. Well, not exactly because he does have people who applaud him. His life has not been so great since though because of public opinion. In some ways, the effect of public opinion is worse than jail. In some ways its good and some ways its not because not everyone who is presumed guilty is. Scary. But if he wasn't so eager, and arrogant, (and guilty) he probably could have come out of this. But he still felt entitled. It's all very unfortunate. His interview during the civil trial was very telling.

    If you truly didn't murder your ex-wife, wouldn't you be more focused on the fact on who the killer is who killed her if it was not you? He seemed overjoyed and very focused on the fact that he wanted the jury to say not guilty - that would provide security for OJ because if evidence ever arisen in the future, they can never convict him of the same crime due to the trial.
    Despite if they were still together or still in love, would OJ, a famous football player, not be the least bit concerned that if the so-called "killer" killed his wife would go after him and the rest of his family? He can't say "we need to find the person who killed my ex-wife" to insinuate the search for them because all evidence that would be accounted for, it would all point to him: there is no one else.

    • @jenbercini2409
      @jenbercini2409 8 років тому +1

      Sociopaths tend to be nervous and easily agitated. They are volatile and prone to emotional outbursts, including fits of rage. They are likely to be uneducated and live on the fringes of society, unable to hold down a steady job or stay in one place for very long. It is difficult but not impossible for sociopaths to form attachments with others. Many sociopaths are able to form an attachment to a particular individual or group, although they have no regard for society in general or its rules. In the eyes of others, sociopaths will appear to be very disturbed. Any crimes committed by a sociopath, including murder, will tend to be haphazard, disorganized and spontaneous rather than planned.
      Psychopaths, on the other hand, are unable to form emotional attachments or feel real empathy with others, although they often have disarming or even charming personalities. Psychopaths are very manipulative and can easily gain people’s trust. They learn to mimic emotions, despite their inability to actually feel them, and will appear normal to unsuspecting people. Psychopaths are often well educated and hold steady jobs. Some are so good at manipulation and mimicry that they have families and other long-term relationships without those around them ever suspecting their true nature.
      When committing crimes, psychopaths carefully plan out every detail in advance and often have contingency plans in place. Unlike their sociopathic counterparts, psychopathic criminals are cool, calm, and meticulous. Their crimes, whether violent or non-violent, will be highly organized and generally offer few clues for authorities to pursue. Intelligent psychopaths make excellent white-collar criminals and "con artists" due to their calm and charismatic natures.

    This was literally the most open-and-shut murder case ever tried, and OJ was the dumbest and most arrogant person ever to commit a murder. In his panic after the murders and his rush back to his house so he could get in the limo and preserve his alibi, he left evidence EVERYWHERE.
    Most likely during his fight with Ron Goldman, he got a significant cut on his left middle finger that bled as he fled the scene. He didn't try to stop the bleeding. He didn't try to get rid of his clothes that were covered in the victims' blood, so some of it got into his Bronco. He dropped the left-hand glove at the murder scene and dropped the right-hand glove at his house...soaked in the victims' blood. He ran a red light and nearly crashed into Jill Shively. A man saw him dumping the contents of a duffel bag into the trash can at LAX. And, of course, he was easy for strangers to recognize because he was a huge celebrity.
    He voluntarily spoke with the police without an attorney present (despite having his Miranda rights read to him)...and he should have known they suspected him because they had already put him in handcuffs at his house.
    It was almost like he wanted to get caught...except after agreeing to turn himself into the police, he fled, claiming to just be interested in visiting Nicole's grave but also carrying $8,000+ in cash, a passport, a disguise, and a loaded gun. And then for some reason he and Al Cowlings started heading back NORTH toward his house before the police caught up with him.
    Despite being handed this case on basically a silver platter, the prosecutors screwed it up, and Judge Ito allowed the defense attorneys to mislead the jury and distract them from the evidence in the case. The jurors didn't understand the evidence...they didn't understand DNA.
    Is it any surprise that he got caught for what he did in Vegas? He was seen on videotape, and the victims recorded his voice. The judge in that case quite accurately described him as "ignorant and arrogant" before sending him away for a very long time. Justice served.

      mitch cumstein Thank you for saying that. It upsets me a lot that the defense made this into a case about race when there was a far more relevant national conversation we should have had about the case: domestic violence. The real lesson from this case is that, regardless of race, domestic violence is not to be taken lightly. It can turn deadly.

    • @Jim_Harwood
      @Jim_Harwood 9 років тому +1

      Your story line is verbatim the "media line" so you're not adding much in regards to insight in the case. Let me show you how easy the "slow chase" could be created.
      OJ told the police he was going to Nicole's grave site. Now it's simple to deploy TV helicopters, squad cars etc. to the area creating a circus and resulting in OJ turning around and heading home. Now nit wits like you watch the media pictures and you think they caught him "trying to run". And that's why the prosecution never touched the "chase" issue because OJ's team would have shoved it down their throats, proving it was a fabricated event.
      Besides the jury rejected your nonsense, it took them no more than 240 minutes to reject this nonsense case against OJ.

      Maybe a little too "open and shut". Sometimes you have to look beyond what is in plain sight. I'm not saying he's innocent, but I'm saying it's possible.

    • @danieldougan269
      @danieldougan269 9 років тому +1

      Marie Heusten But it isn't even possible that he's innocent. Just take the bloody glove scenario. LAPD officers arrived at Nicole's condo on Bundy and found a distinctive left-hand glove matching a very rare type and size that Nicole had purchased years earlier around Christmastime in NYC. (So, most likely, she had bought them as a gift for OJ.) The glove was soaked in the victims' blood. Note that this was hours before Mark Fuhrman arrived on the scene, and he did not know any of the other officers who had gotten there before him. Then the victims' blood was found on the matching right-hand glove at OJ's house. How did it get there? There was no right-hand glove found at the crime scene. These were no ordinary gloves that Fuhrman could have just known in advance to carry around with him for the purposes of framing someone. He would have had no way of knowing the rare type of glove in advance and, on top of that, getting the victims' blood onto it. Impossible! And the only reason those gloves didn't fit OJ's hands in court was that they had shrunken a full size due to being soaked in blood for a year. That's what the VP from the glove manufacturer said in court. There was another glove demonstration, this time with a brand new pair of identical gloves of the same size. That time they fit his hands perfectly. As far as OJ's blood at Nicole's condo, the defense said that it might have been planted there by Vannatter while he was driving back to Brentwood from Parker Center. Except Vannatter never went to Nicole's condo after that (he would have been spotted if he had). Instead, he went to OJ's house on Rockingham and immediately booked the reference sample with the criminalist Dennis Fung. And this was fresh blood, not blood that had been left on a prior visit to Nicole's condo, as OJ suggested. That's why Vannatter had to take the sample in his car in the first place, because he wanted to book it with the criminalist ASAP, and the criminalist was at Rockingham. The size 12 Bruno Magli shoes that OJ denied owning showed up in unretouched newspaper photos of him working on the sidelines for NBC. If they were "ugly-ass shoes," why was he wearing them on camera? There's no doubt whatsoever that OJ was guilty of double murder.

    He is sooooo very convincing on this interview. It truely gets to me to the point I can't stop studying the case. What I don't and can't understand is if he did these murders why didn't he snap years before like when she had an affair with one of his best friends Marcus Allen, or when he watched her having a sexual rendezvous with Keith ( the owner of the Mezzaluna restaurant that Ron worked at) or when Kato came into the picture.????? They can deny it all they want I know something went on with her and Kato. Nothing serious but something. Anyways most men would've snapped then not years after the divorce? They said he was used to her dating other men. It's too weird. And it does bother me that Nicole's boyfriend Keith owned Mezzalunas and Ron was hanging out with Nicole a lot two months at the time of the murder. I'm shocked Keith was never mentioned. I get a bad feeling from him. He's buddies with The head of lapd too.

      Jill Morgan Up until June 12, 1994, he still believed there was a possibility of them getting back together, even though they were divorced. That was the pattern of their relationship previously. She told him in no uncertain terms that day that it was over, and he was dissed by her family and Nicole herself after the recital that afternoon and that’s what set him off.
      After the trial Simpson was talking all over the radio and TV about the case - he should have testified at the trial. Wild horses couldn’t have kept me off the stand if I were accused of such a horrific crime.
      Watch ESPNs “O.J. Simpson: Made in America, “ and read “Outrage” by Vincent Bugliosi (the prosecutor for the Manson trial), as well as “Triumph of Justice,” the book by Daniel Petrocelli, the lead prosecutor in the civil trial of Simpson. All your questions will be answered, and any lingering doubts erased.
      I get where you’re coming from as even though I did believe he was guilty at the end of the trial (I watched the whole thing live at the time), it was still really hard to reconcile his public persona from the horror of the crimes. What REALLY did it for me though were the photographs of Simpson wearing the Bruno Magli shoes that were taken at a football game he was commentating on from BEFORE the murders happened. He was wearing the same kind of gloves too. The depositions from the civil trial were videotaped and the moment he was shown the photos of himself wearing those shoes his eyes went as big as saucers. Unfortunately, the civil trial wasn’t televised but it turns out he terrible witness. You can read it all in Petrocelli’s book, and you can also find video snippets from the civil trial depositions on UA-cam, including the infamous Bruno Magli moment. Take care! 🙂

To believe such a vicious, gory crime was committed and covered up by just 1 person in just over 1 hour has been discredited by all experts who have studied or been involved in the case. The lack of blood in the bronco, in the house, missing knife and bloody clothes etc. There is a strong possibility OJ was involved but to say this murder was premeditated and OJ did this knowing his limo driver was coming minutes before he left the house with 2 minor children upstairs and 1 child he didn't know cancelled the sleepover at the last minute would be so hard to imagine with a guy who has so much to lose...
