This verdict gave abusers more power. My ex husband threatened to "OJ me" several times. I had to get a protection order and lost so many nights of sleep.
But a not guilty verdict would’ve emboldened the LAPD and they would’ve continued perverting justice. The case went the way it had to go. OJ’s guilt or innocence wouldn’t have stopped your abuser, only you had the power to do that.

Simpson tried to put on the glove over a rubber glove, that was suppose to keep the evidence from being contaminated. The glove had been soaked several time in chemicals while searching for blood evidence on it. There was no way it would fit the original wearer. Then the jury rejected the DNA evidence out of shear ignorance. Statistically, there would have had to be THREE TIMES THE POPULATION of the earth to be able to exclude Simpson. Yep, a one in 20 Billion chance it was not OJ.
There was a serial killer that went on a killing spree shortly thereafter so is possible he could have done it. Of course there is something wrong with OJ mind writing a book how else he could have done it so he may have done it but wasn't proven and others could have done it cops could have planted evidence as two of same cops that went to crime scene went to his house. This was improper procedures by the police so they should not have been surprised by the verdict.
Shapiro may have been a snake working for the other side. He tried to get OJ to take a plea which would have put him away for a very long time. This was why Johnny stepped in and Shapiro ultimately never got paid.

One of the jurors was interviewed, and she said she voted not guilty because of the trial before where the four officers were found non guilty for beating the gentleman during the California riots. I completely blanked on that poor man’s name.

After the trial he felt like legal justice was made: I.e. not found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Normally you would expect moral and legal justice to go hand in hand. If he felt like making the distinction at the end of the interview, it’s probably because it’s quite the opposite in this case but he’s not in the position to discuss it
Legally he did not "admit" it, but morally he admitted it. But morality doesn't count for facts in a case that's already been tried. OJ totally did it. They found him not guilty because of politics and the fact that they didn't want the black community to riot again like they did with Rodney King before that.

You are judging based what evidence they were but so was the 12 people in the jury. Only a handful of people truly know whether or not he is guilty. We are supposed to assume someone is innocent until proven guilty. As his former lawyer said it is a strong chance that the killer hasn't faced trial. OJ did. We just don't know, we weren't there.

I’d read several books about this. Shapiro was ready to concede, it was written, until Johnny Cochrane jumped in the drivers seat. The low speed getaway driver, Kardashian, would later have nothing to do with OJ. I had so totally misread this trial as a celebrity freak show. Legally he did not "admit" it, but morally he admitted it. But morality doesn't count for facts in a case that's already been tried. OJ totally did it. They found him not guilty because of politics and the fact that they didn't want the black community to riot again like they did with Rodney King before that.

You are judging based what evidence they were but so was the 12 people in the jury. Only a handful of people truly know whether or not he is guilty. No. He did his job. Defense attorneys are supposed to defend their clients LEGALLY i.e. you can't put your client on knowing he/she will perjure themselves. You can challenge the prosecution case.

Attorneys like Shapiro will make sure the prosecution is prepared , has an actual case and is not sloppy. This will prevent a lot of innocent ppl from getting convicted too, so justice will b better served

Anybody who has ever worn gloves like that, made of leather, knows that, even when they get slightly damp, not even wet, they shrink horribly. It is. I wonder about some of the jurors. Remember the Black Power sign one gave OJ as he walked out. The case was as much about race as anything else. I remember African Americans celebrating as if they'd won something after the verdict was announced. Sad moment in history.

The verdict had nothing to do with this case. The jury knew he was guilty as hell. They wanted to send a message to the corrupt, unjust & racist legal system that victimized minorities for eons.
Watch “OJ, Made In America,” it’s an awesome documentary and explains why the jury acquitted. It was more a conviction of the LAPD, and less about guilt or innocence.
