I've viewed this video 5 years ago. I like the look of this watch but couldn't justify the $550 to spend. After purchasing countless watches in these 5 years from buying vintage Omegas, Tissot's, Seiko, and Yema, for example, I've come back full circle. I still like the watch and came back to this W&W video. I found a good deal online for $307 and bought it. After so many watches bought, I can't find anything like it with this look at this price point at $307 or even at $550 retail. The dial looks stunning. All other Swiss watches are the basic 3 hands, great name historic brand, vintage-inspired but all basic (e.g. Tissot Swissmatic, Hamilton Intra-matic, Rado). Here, we have a Zeppelin from Point-Tec, reliable Miyota automatic movement with power reserve indicator, stunning dial using a serif font, and awesome case design, German-made). And I like to remind you that Point-tec is not a new Microbrand but a watch company with some history that dates back to 1987. So, they've been around for a while. At this price point of around $307, it's hard to beat. Overall, this watch looks sophisticated. Zac, in this video said it best that it looks like a Marine Chronometer. Thanks Zac from W&W for reviewing this watch! Great video. I, too, enjoyed the siren in the background. I had to pause the video to see if it was coming from outside. Good to hark back of when W&W first started years ago!
I’ve owned this model for about 2yrs , it’s a lovely looking watch. Very vintage looking. The acrylic glass is still unmarked so no complaints. Good review
Hi, My wrist is about 7". I've had this watch for about 5 months and I still love it. It's a great alternative to the sportier watches I usually wear, yet isn't so dressy as to seem out of place for daily wear. We did a Stowa diver. I'd love to do an Antea, the problem is getting one. Thanks, Zach
love it!!! worth all the money, a special watch among all swiss made watches that will find on the market...The dial is spectacular, also the beautiful hands is unique. The myota is very accurate, it s worth all the money. Can t go wrong with this watch, it s absolutly stunnig...like some kind of old precision instrument. Greetings from Transylvania!
When I bought mine, slightly different then the version being shown, had concerns about the myota movement, but they have since vanished , mine has a full sweep second hand, and a mineral crystal. Wanted a Junghans or Nomos but couldn't afford it. The watch looks better then it's photos. Off topic, I live real close to Lakehurst and have a softspot for the watch. I think the only thing different and at x2 the cost, may have saved up for a Stowa Antea. But that will be in the future. No complaints with the GZ
I have the blue and black dialing. Stunning. Bought it almost 9 years ago. Many people asked me if it is a Breguet. It runs flawlessly. It is perfect for offiice or as a decoy for more expensive watches I own. Buy it if you can find in blue dial or very white dial and blue arms. Both look stunning.
Thanks! The cases are identical, but given the added details on the dial of the Zeppelin, such as the recessed 24-hour dial, I would say it "looks" more expensive...but it really is subjective.
Owned the white one. Almost PERFECT. 99% there. The missing 1% for me was a day function. The finishing, the quality, is just scary! All that for under 400€. Magnifixent watch!
Great review, and thanks for actually showing how it looks on a wrist. Someone would think that that is the most basic thing to do with WRIST watch, but nooo, 90% of videos on YT don't show that. P.S. While I'm on wrists, what size is your? P.P.S. Do you plan on reviewing some Stowa watches (especially Antea KS model)
I want a Nomos, Just can't justify x 2 to x for the the difference, No doubt eh Nomos is better watch. But for my needs and Long Island Watch (an AD) had it. 40m is about right for a Bauhaus type watch in the not near future msy go for one, And the 9100 series movements have got goof reviews. My cost $429 to the door. Might find it a few bucks less, nut Marc at LIW provides support as well s an AD you have the GF. Will wear it the April at the memorial day service for it.
Thank you for posting that video. That is a gorgeous looking watch. I love that power indicator complication. I must admit though I do slightly prefer the Junkers Bauhaus model. From what I gather it has a better build quality than this Zeppelin one. Having said that, I do like those numerals lol Decisions decisions lol... Take care bye for now.
i just bought this watch I'm very disappointed in how flimsy the overall feel of the watch is. the rotor movement sound very loud and that's why I'm returning it. you never mentioned the sound of the rotor.
I'm confused. According to the specs, it says "mineral crystal". That's not a form of acrylic. Did they upgrade this watch to a mineral? Hmm, just spent some time researching it. It looks like longislandwatch has misidentified the crystal. It is a domed hesalite acrylic. Not hardened mineral. Too bad. For $549 I'd prefer at least a mineral.
I thought that, but then again; we're not supposed to adjust the date on a watch while the watch is between the 9 and 3 position, specifically 9pm and 3am,, so the sub dial is a way of knowing am or pm,,, its a purpose anyway... i want this watch or the Junkers one... the lack of sapphire holds me back... its beautiful though ....
craik Yes you do, otherwise you wouldn't be asking strangers how it looks with jeans and a t-shirt.Do you need other people to tell you what looks good? Can't you figure that out on your own at this point in your life?
mac daddy no I can't figure that out on my own since I do not have the watch with me. and the other person you are referring to is not 'other people.' he is a watch enthusiast who knows what he's talking about.
I got this watch and I'm very disappointed. The design is fine but the build quality is terrible. The rotor is very noisy that I felt at times a rattle snake is climbing my arm. Overall I strongly recommend you stay away.
+Hatim khalifa Lol I bought it for my collection and noticed that also. I still enjoy it on occasion because it's a sharp piece, but you're so right about the rotor! If you rotate your wrist quickly you'll hear it spinning for 2-3 full seconds.
All the miyota movement are noisy.Haven't heard the term "miyota wobble"? Instead of this, you can purchase an orient bambino(with a noisy rotor, too). :)

what you can say about the glass? got more scratches than usual? greetings

How many seconds per day does it lose or gain and is it loud, don't you think second hand would be more nice if it was red.
My favorite thing about this watch is the thin Twisted minute hand and the reserve dial. I'm happy with my purchase.

"special" because it's not swiss but german made?

My favorite watch in my collection.
is the glass so bad as everybody saying? it looks amazing
Love Zeppelin. When I wear my Zeppelin watch, I am able to fly. Classy and avionic...Now off to the clouds...
Jesus I thought that siren sound was somewhere near my place!
+Quân Đặng SAME ! HAHAHAHHA
And then you went and quickly hid your cocaine?
@@killerofprimes
Flushed $10k worth of cocaine down the toilet because of this review!
@@Strideo1 I don’t remember typing this comment
If the face was sapphire crystal I would be a proud future owner. Can't handle the increased potential for scratches.
ditto!
I love how you pretend that the siren is not there, but gradually increase you voice loudness :)

Cheers, I now have one and I love it. I have had lots of complements on this gorgeous watch.

A great review of a very classy looking watch. Thanks!

The gig is up!
Take shot every time this guy says “um”.
Great Watch use it all the time.
Beautiful watch, very classy.
Had to hit rewind. That siren made me run for the door.

Wow, that was fast... Many thanks. Based on the photos, I also like the black Junkers 6060-4. Hard choice, I guess I'll flip the coin :).
Would've been perfect if not for the acrylic crystal. So want a sapphire on this model.
It's on Amazon now for 499.
Thanks for the full review, I actually bought it and I am more than happy with this aviation watch. Thanks!
How many seconds per day does it lose or gain and is it loud, don't you think second hand would be more nice if it was red.
You totally sound like Evan from Superbad!!
I bought this watch and am disappointed you didn't mention the rotor movement on the watch back is very noisy
Great piece and review mate

Graf Zeppelin Nordstern same face design but with a sapphire crystal white or blue face
I bought this watch and flipped it after one wear. I was disappointed with the build quality, proportions, movement, and strap.
this is beautiful!~
Looks great in this review. Seriously considering purchasing one.
Siren. . . Come out with your hands up !! This is the police !!
review the junkers 6060-2
Nice review, thanks. If you compare it to almost the same Junkers-6060, which one has a better finish quality and looks more expensive?

so beautiful!! 😮
I would like to purchase this watch, but I hear that the watch movement is loud....how loud is it?
It is as loud as the siren in the video!
its just a hint to loud if you want to sit in a cinema
It's not loud at all.
absolutely gorgeous, but that price for that movement and no sapphire is just not feasible.
what is your favorite watch model ?
Is there one with a white face and black strap?
Would like to get one if not because of the rotor movement sound.
I have one. Why do people talk about the sound? Do you all bionic ears? I don't hear it being loud at all.
@@ronfrancv286 honestly I actually prefer the unidirectional ones, reminds me that im wearing something mechanical lol
A beautiful watch but the rotor is definitely to loud.
This is such a very nice watch man :))
What about durability?
Siren noise......?
i just bought this watch I'm very disappointed in how flimsy the overall feel of the watch is. the rotor movement sound very loud and that's why I'm returning it. you never mentioned the sound of the rotor.
Hey Zach, you mentioned that it's a chronometer? Is it, please clarify. Great review btw.. thanks!
Ed Ng Photography no he said it looks like a marine chronometer.
Are you able to manually wind the watch?
+Bill Hill yes, you can.
I'm confused. According to the specs, it says "mineral crystal". That's not a form of acrylic. Did they upgrade this watch to a mineral?

beautiful watch but the subdial at 6 o'clock is useless imo

The lack of sapphire crystal is a deal breaker for me.
Why does it say MIN next to the hour reserve indicator? Shouldn't it be HR?
It means "you have just minutes left before i stop, wind me please!"
arupian666 Thanks for the clarification, I thought it meant minutes.
Bill Hill So did I, you're not alone!
@@peterp7470 doesn't it mean (minimum) as in minimum maximum
would this still look good with casual jeans & a T-shirt?
Yes.

550 for a damn 20 dollar movement?!?
what a stupid idea with second hour dials, just put a damn reserve dial and done.

Junkers vs Zeppelin...I like the bauhaus look but any name with "Junk" in it is not going on my wrist
Why?
It is a German name. Pronounce it "Yuunkers"
Thats way too much money for that movement
This boy is complete amateur. He didnt say anything important about central part of this watch. About excellent movement.
