If you are shopping for eye drops for dry eyes, and you are using them more often that 3-4x per day, most eye doctors will recommend you look for preservative-free eye drops.
I store mine in the fridge. But what concerns me is that they’re being transported in the heat. Like right now it’s 98°F, & will hover around 100° for half a day.
Thank you!!!! I scoffed at the idea of eyedrop wipes as I used a washcloth. Lately, however, I've been waking up to heavy eye crusting. I will try and keep bedside.🎉
Ivizia eye drops have seriously changed my quality of life since being diagnosed with dry eye, thanks to you mentioning them in a older video. I no longer wake up with stinging pain as soon as I open my eyes. Cant recommend them enough.
You’re great, doctor! Thank you for everything you share in your channel - I started following you yesterday, and I’m going to look for a good eye drop with no preservative!
My eye doctor does not want to consult with me about problems with dry eyes, moreover, in combination with allergies. She just prescribes me drops and doesn't care anymore. People usually write that they have the biggest problems in the morning, I have the opposite, my eyes are most red in the evening. I am also looking for an answer and a solution to this. Thank you very much that thanks to you I can look for some new solutions and types myself. Greetings from the Czech republic. 🇨🇿
Usually something that contains a type of lipid or oil to it. Examples would be Systane Complete, Refresh mega 3 , Optase MGD, and Blink Triple therapy
Wish this video was available earlier this year. My eyes were sooooo freaking itchy in May I could barely function. Taking allergy medicine helped a little, but it wouldn't completely go away. Now I know for next year
Can you please explain what is the difference between preservative free and not preservative free. Is there side effects that come with a no. Preservative free. I used retain usually but occasionally I do use refresh only because it seems to help when I alternate during the day.
Hi, Doc! Just wondering if you have encountered Japanese eyedrops and got thoughts on them, because that’s what I’ve been using ever since. Specifically ones from Rohto
I’ve tried all of those and just recently got the Vizio but they all either sting, or make my eyes even redder. The only one that’s ever worked for me is the vials of theratears extra but no one ever mentions that one and I don’t understand why
Can I ask you to be more specific about "Natural Tears"? So many brands use that in their branding or advertising I am not 100% sure which drop you are referring to. I know Clear Eyes has a "natural tears" formula but it is still loaded with harsh preservatives like BAK.
Has anybody ever told you you're easy on the eyes? I'm srry I had to.😂 also i'm terrified right now with all that's been going on with eyedrops lately..Systane drops wrk really well for my dry eyes
Pain can radiate to the eyes and the glands around the eyes. A bad tooth infection can cause swelling that can also get up to the eyes and ocular cavities.

Try lowering zinc intake. It dries up mucus membranes.

Except Sustain ultra and artelac advance there are no other preservative free eye drops

What do you think of Pataday?

Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you Dr. You are doing
a great service by posting these videos. ❤
This was great! I always appreciate when options from places that most people would shop at are shown! I love my systane preservative free drops 😊
I totally agree! Glad it was helpful!
@@DoctorEyeHealthhello what would be best for my eyes i have narrow angle glaucoma & dry eyes. What would you recommend.
I love how confident and comfortable you look wearing those contacts.

You’re freaking awesome! You get down on our level so to speak and explain things so easy to understand
How does Ivizia compare to Miebo? Im concerned about Miebo’s ingredients but it works well for me
What do you think of Pataday? Would love your feedback.
does using these eye drops help to prevent dry eyes? I don't have dry eyes but I want to prevent it.
What does eyedrops do to your eyes and how long does it take to see results? Should I used them everyday if I want to?

Are there any drops to help clogged tear duct?
I have some patients that respond to anti inflammatory drops like steroids but if the tear duct is truly clogged then it may need to be flushed out
@doctoreyehealth what are your feelings on warm compress and lid scrubs?
They can help! But many people need way more treatment.
Hi Doc! Are eye whitening drops safe? Ty! 🙌
The Lumify drops are better than any other brand, but still not great to use them all the time. Preservatives are not great for the ocular surface.
Ty! 🙌
IVizia or Thealoz Duo in Europe is the best eye drop with unique bottle
Which eye drops are for clogged ducts type dry eye?
Usually something that contains a type of lipid or oil to it. Examples would be Systane Complete, Refresh mega 3 , Optase MGD, and Blink Triple therapy
Thank you so much for sharing this. 🙌❣️
What about Visine Eye care products? Would you recommend that brand?
Thank u so much for the advice!
Why would you recommend Lastacaft which has benzalkonium chloride when you tell us to stay away from any eye drop with that in it?
Wish this video was available earlier this year. My eyes were sooooo freaking itchy in May I could barely function. Taking allergy medicine helped a little, but it wouldn't completely go away. Now I know for next year
Yeah! Lastacaft and Pataday both work very well! The used to be prescription only but now they are OTC.
can we use this air drop every day, for long term?
Hi. Can using too much systane pf cause light sensitivity?
Hey Doc. Can you give me eyedrops or any tips for pesky stye that keeps growing back every 4 or 5 months?

Okay thanks 👍
Is Ivizia a complete analogue of the theolose duo or are there differences?
slight difference, they made the active ingredient different because it was cheaper to get it FDA approved
Great info! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! Saves me money so

It is I bought a monlthy supply ivizia so reccomend
I use Thera tears Extra dry eye therapy. What do you think?
TheraTears is a good brand too! Very similar to Systane, just has a few different inactive ingredients to help with pH. What do you think of them?
Thank you. I have cataracts. Is there another brand I should try.
Dang. I just bought Systane yesterday.
what about Avizor (lacrifresh) and Santen (Oftalgel) ???
I personally don't know much about those brands, no available where I live.
Thank you doctor very helpful
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Are natural tears ok or is there a solid alternative?
Can I ask you to be more specific about "Natural Tears"? So many brands use that in their branding or advertising I am not 100% sure which drop you are referring to. I know Clear Eyes has a "natural tears" formula but it is still loaded with harsh preservatives like BAK.
@@DoctorEyeHealth A brand I've used called Medics Choice Artficial Tears that's sold at our local Wal-Mart
😮Crazy prices
Opinions of Mega-3 Refresh drops?
I like them! I think they work well for people with evaporative dry eye. Similar to Ivizia, they also have trehelose in them.
@@DoctorEyeHealththanks for the response! Can you do a video on the different types of dry eyes. I feel it would be really helpful!
They have excellent plus lenses, used for the prevention of myopia.
That is how I went from 20/50, to 20/20.
Took me two years to succeed.
Thank you!
you're very gentle on the eyes. :)

@@DoctorEyeHealth 🎉🤗🌞👏
What's wrong with Clear Eyes? I noticed them on the shelf and you ignored them
It's shrinking your blood vessels etc that's why the veins disappear...
Long term do you think that's a good thing? 😅😅😅
Great channel!
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Toda ...❤
I only use Systane eyedrops
What about Regener eyes?
I have used Regener Eyes for a few patients and found some success. I hope to do a short video on them soon too.
Bravo doctor 👏
I use Artelac 3x/day everyday for 1 year
Has anybody ever told you you're easy on the eyes? I'm srry I had to.😂 also i'm terrified right now with all that's been going on with eyedrops lately..Systane drops wrk really well for my dry eyes

Dr. By chance are you in Ohio?
Now I’m even more confused! In your other vid, you were raving about ivizia, here. not so much?
I have heard such bad results from using preservative-free eye drops. An eye doctor told me that preservative-free eye drops can cause blindness.

Hyaluronic Acid bothers some people.
You should become a eye doctor at Walmart
I don't think Walmart can afford me lol
@@DoctorEyeHealthdid you know Walmart has a Eye Clinic
a good doctor..can toothaches give sick eyes ? from Suriname ...bye bye
Pain can radiate to the eyes and the glands around the eyes. A bad tooth infection can cause swelling that can also get up to the eyes and ocular cavities.
Most of these medicines are not available in Pakistan😢
I wonder what is available there? I bet there are some similar equivalents.
Systane Complete, for me, was useless.
i hate walmart. grrrr
I am not the biggest fan of big box stores either, at least the economics of them.
@@DoctorEyeHealth I love you
