Dude, thank you so much for sharing. Amazing editing and slow approach to make it easy to follow and understand! Good things coming your way. Will let you know how this goes on my 2014 Civic.
My cat peed all over the back seat and was desperate to know how to take it out to wash!!! Couldn't find how to do it until I came across this!! THANK YOU!! Life saver!! 🎉🙏
did you disconnect battery first? I saw another video that said you had to so the airbag didn't go off even though car is off and then to leave it for 15 minutes before attempting to remove the passenger seat? Thanks I am doing this myself and don't want to get smacked with an airbag,
Service manual procedures for removing or unplugging anything airbag related are to disconnect the battery and wait several minutes. I've disconnected hundreds of airbags and dozens of seats in Hondas without ever disconnecting the battery. I would just say never do it with the ignition on, and my experience is only with Hondas.
I have a 2014 civic, the thing is the slider rails of the driver seat are lose, so when i pass a speed bumper, all the seat shakes, can be adjusted? or need to be replaced?
Hi i have a check system waring light on for airbag any idea how i can fix it. Do you have to remove the battery for an hour before taking seats to save airbag going off
I am having the same alert light on my civic. We had the car washed and detailed on the inside and it is possible that if the seat gets too wet water can reach the wires that connect with the airbag sensors. So we have to replace those wires or there is a chance that the passenger air bag might not go off. So worse news is that the wires are built inside the metal framing of the seat so the whole seat has to be replaced, not just the wiring. Dealership was asking 2000 for parts and labor. Good luck.
@@fredstraw Have you tried to sit on the other seat? My light was on but was off after I changed to seat on the other seat, and it's never on again after.
What I'd like is good instruction on how to get the rear seatback released. It's stuck. 2013 Civic. Tutorials I've viewed are not that clear, or helpful. Thanks.

@@MechanicalMalarkey ok thanks
@@MechanicalMalarkeyso basically no, you didn't disconnect battery before disconnecting the wiring below the seats. Ok that's good to know

If it's not that the bolts mounting the seat to the car are loose, I don't think there are any adjustments in the seat frame itself.
does anyone know how to find a similar clip for the under-seat wires? Or should I just settle for a zip tie? it looks like they arent reusable
Yeah I don't see why not with zapstrap, as long as it's secure it doesn't really matter 🎉
Thank you!

@@dustinmiller4508 that sucks I am getting rid of mine and never having a Honda again. Spent weeks trying everything but still can’t get the light off

@@LinshanSun yes and tried new airbag going to put a resistor on it now to bypass it

God bless u
do any one know what is the part # for the front seat bolts? My nephew's 2012 Civic is missing one of the bolts.
U can just go any hardware shop and get one, you tell them socket size 14 and they would be able to find a bolt for you
@@gryu325 wrong
best is to go to any (or call first) any pick and pull or junk yard. those seat bolts are very specific and necessary for safety.
