does 2014 honda civic have transmission fluid filter ?
🥂
Amen
Thanks to this video I changed the cabin air filter by myself (44F)! Bought a filter online, followed the video (after watching it twice) and successfully installed it, saving me $50 from having it done by the car shop! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the video! Especially the little things, like checking the tabs in the back when putting the cover back on. I bought a filter online and changed it myself, thanks to this video! Saved myself $50!
Thanks blessings
Is this for the euro hatchback or US sedan version?
US sedan.
@@MechanicalMalarkey Tnx for reply.
God bless u
don't you have to burp the cooling system for air bubbles? i'm not sure how necessary it is, but some mechanics i know always do it - i suppose you could just run the car and then refill later in the reservoir instead of 'burping' it and forgetting it
Yes, always burp the air!!!
Awsome work man.Whats the brand of those front shocks?
Good tutorial, thanks.
Should use some anti-seize compound to prevent galvanic corrosion. The salt from the roads in winter will cause the dissimilar metals to corrode. A little anti-seize will help prevent any future corrosion.
No beam shots to a wall? Geeze...
Thanks for the info. I inadvertently switched from ACC to regular cruise and by following your clear, concise directions was able to get back to the adaptive cruise that I prefer.
The latch lever cable end came out of my 2002 camry at the dash, I tried and tried to put the cabin cable end back into the latch lever, but I just couldn't do it. Then I saw your video here and realized there was a much better way to do it. Pop the cable end out of the attachment point at the Latch lever in the cabin to give myself MUCH more freedom to maneuver the cylinder end into the latch lever. I'm sure I will be able to pop it back in with as much ease as you showed doing it. Thank you so much Malarkey. I was thinking I was maybe gonna have to replace the cable!
Thank you so much for creating this video. I have been trying to figure this out for the last week. We need more people like you that are able to teach others. Thank you so much.
Your video needs to be zoomed out so we can clearly seee where your working. Duh
Worked for me on my 22 passport trailsport thanks fam
Guess no way to check fluid level ?
I couldn't remove the lower 12mm bolt; it's real tight and just spins the greased pin around. Is there a special tool that will lock that grease pin down. I noticed there is a quasi rectangular end for gripping on the grease pin.
It probably fits a 17 or 19mm wrench.
This was extremely helpful. Clear explanations and good camera work
Thank you for making this informative video.
Thanks man!!! And god, I love how easy this car is to work on
What’s the size on the bolts you use for the stand
I got this and some sockets that were supposed to be for it but they wouldn't fit over the squared chuck. They were also 1/2 inch but none of them fit.
Thank you
You do not have to take the whole trunk lid liner off. I bought my 17 brand new and the camera was the first thing to go bad.
So my question is. What's the name of the tool to remove those pop in clips without breaking them
Hi, everything is fine, but it’s not clear in which direction to place the “arrow” on top of the front springs? and how important is this provision for safety?
Thanks bro
Yes thank you so much I know the video was a few months ago but I just looked up today Thank so much ⭐️✌🏻
thank you so much. Looked in the owners manual...watched a ton of videos...searched online to a ton of sites and could not get an answer to this problem. Now I can sleep tonight.
You are a life saver! This information need to get out there. I cant tell you how many times I drive these vehicles home with no success adding 20-40 min to my drive. And then just to give up and send it to the dealer for an hour labor.
Thanks blessings
My cables under the console arent equal. Also, having hot rotors in the rear 190degree vs front 140degrees
Thank so you much for not making the video super long and complicated. 🙏
Thanks!
Great video, I found a pair of calipers for under 100.00. Installed, no problems. Thanks!
Do you know anything about changing the sensor radar on a 2016 Honda Civic 1.5
Thank you!!
Great video my guy -and nice soda joke haha!
Thanks so much very helpful 😀
Please how to change the view ?
Is this for 4 wheel drive only?
Yes
R18 is the worst engine in honda line up.. below average performance, worst fuel economy. Why in the world they make plastic dip stick!!! is R series outsourced by honda?
And yet in my experience it's one of the most reliable. I'll take it.
My 2007 civic 5 speed coupe is rated at 40 mpg.
@@MechanicalMalarkey Have seen these go 350,000+ on mileage. The biggest issue with the Civics of this era (8th gen) is the longevity of the AC compressors and door lock actuators. Occasionally the wiring harness under the passenger seat causes intermittent airbag lights on the dash, and of course the putrid design of the cruise control switch which no longer clicks in place and requires replacement of the steering wheel switches if the owner is not interested in jamming a coin into the switch to hold it on.
Question I know you said its located by the cross member. Where abouts is that under a 2007 Dodge caravan? I have leaking fluid and it seems to be more back by the motor oil drain plug area. I am hoping its the cooler lines and not the power steering pump itself. Thank you.
Helpful, thank you. I’ve got some ball joints that I think are fine, just need new boots. I can see that it is possible with only separating the lower ball joint and nothing else.
I find this video a good and useful reference. I'm currently much more involved in a Large scale project with my wife's car which is exactly the same car in this video. Started with grinding brakes, found a bad CV shaft, which ended up getting some of the fluid out so I figured I'd do the fluid change cuz it was due Anyway. I did it about 60,000 mi ago with the small filter. So this time I'm doing both filters and the pan gasket. I only bought 4 quarts of fluid but I feel like it's not going to be enough to fill the whole thing.
This video was great, after one view I confirmed I could do the work, got the part, followed the steps as outlined and its done. Saved me time and money. Thank you for making this video!
I will say the felpro gasket I used seemed to be "wide enough" to be slightly pushed into the grooves on the cover and stay located while I maneuvered the cover back into position. Don't forget to put a good dab of RTV/Honda bond is a good choice sealant on the the chain side of the head where the maufacturing machined lines on in the head meet which are located parallel with the cam chain in front and back on the head.
