  • How a large container ship looks from a small pleasure boat. A cargo ship is inbound for the Wando Welch terminal in Charleston, SC. Watch as we take a pass around it in a small center console and then anchor off the terminal to get some drone shots of the ship docking.

    The ship being dcoked is nose-up as you discussed in a previous video - very easy to see - maybe more than a metre.

    • @Hello-ye2bi
      @Hello-ye2bi 3 роки тому

      @John Smith- We could flip a coin to see who could chum over the side first or rick-paper-scissors it for an obscure bucket onboard to make use of. The scene would be right out of an old tv show.

    HEY!
    DO YOU GET PAID WHILE YOU ARE ON VACATIONS?

    • @BryanBoyle
      @BryanBoyle  3 роки тому +2

      I ship off the board, meaning I don’t have a set schedule. I go to the union hall and bid on a contact ranging usually from a few weeks to 4 months. Once the contract is over I get paid vacation fairly close to day for day onboard. Then I can remain off of work for however long I’d like until I want to bid on a new contract.

    How long does your time off last?

    • @Hello-ye2bi
      @Hello-ye2bi 3 роки тому

      It depends upon their contracts and what is available. My dad was a Merchant Marine.
