- How a large container ship looks from a small pleasure boat. A cargo ship is inbound for the Wando Welch terminal in Charleston, SC. Watch as we take a pass around it in a small center console and then anchor off the terminal to get some drone shots of the ship docking.

Great boat and a beautiful dog, Bryan! It is great to see you having so much fun on your time off!
Thanks, this is so cool. I really enjoy your channel. Love the drone shots.
I like the acoustic music...great selection...fits in nicely with the video!
😁👍
You own a boat? Wow amazing, even doggo is so cute❤️
I love you Sailor XYZ! You recently had some incredible lightning footage!
Luv the doggie too! Glad you have a life preserver on him/her.
Thanks Brian, enjoy your time off! 👍
awesome vid, nice boat.
cute pup!
Fantastic👌
It's pretty cool watching them spin the ship from the deck of another.
That is my hometown of Charleston sc. Awesome video. Just got done watching your room tour.
Very good! Thanks
Sweet video! We live on our sailboat preparing to sail the world. stay safe out there!
Great content man! Thanks for sharing this slice of your personal life, love Parker, you can tell he is a sweet dog! Safe journey wherever you are.
Very nice video. Nice aerial shots. Thnx.
Maersk must own a lot of cargo containers.
Parker really checking out the drone, thanks for a great video...cheeers from Orlando
Very nice boat Bryan! The size prospective is amazing! Your drone is amazing, thanks for your videos!
Very nice
I got on the Iowa after you and now if anyone asks me what it's like to sail I just send your channel over, makes my life so much easier! Aaron says hello!
I’m joining the Iowa when it gets back to Norfolk to do a coastwise job. Is Aaron on there now?
Nice
Good video bro, your dog is so cute
You’re a skilled and talented videographer - I’m “onboard” - as of today. Notify the Captain, please.
Thanks! I appreciate that, I’ll put in a good word
Very neat. I use the app Ship Finder, it isn’t as complete as the one you use.
The ship being dcoked is nose-up as you discussed in a previous video - very easy to see - maybe more than a metre.
Great video of the ship! What drone and cameras do you use?
DJI Mavic 2 Pro and GoPro hero 8 as well as my iPhone 11 Pro.
What is that "brown water" near the cargo ship ?
You can this much closer every day on River Street in Savannah!!
I love going to the river street there and watching the ships go by. It still amazes me seeing how massive they are going by from that viewpoint.
Have you thought about doing a video about flags of convenience?
That’s a good idea. Thank you for the recommendation
Were are your from my friend?
Is Parker a Doodle or a Wheaten? He's really cute!
He’s a golden doodle!
@@BryanBoyle what's a doodle
Did I see a suction mooring system there?
No that is not in use at this port. Just regular old mooring lines!
Wow, you are really getting creative. Thanks. 😁 I would be so sea sick bouncing like that. 🤮
haha you get used to it!
I would be chumming over the side and hanging on for dear life while asking the dog for some advice on "how to get some sea legs?" Absolutely excellent video.
@John Smith- We could flip a coin to see who could chum over the side first or rick-paper-scissors it for an obscure bucket onboard to make use of. The scene would be right out of an old tv show.
@@sailingavocet I never did. Hyperactive equilibrium. Very sensitive to any motion. 🤢
@@Hello-ye2bi Sea legs were always fun especially when you came to port and went on land. You walked like a drunk for a short time. 😁
HEY!
DO YOU GET PAID WHILE YOU ARE ON VACATIONS?
I ship off the board, meaning I don’t have a set schedule. I go to the union hall and bid on a contact ranging usually from a few weeks to 4 months. Once the contract is over I get paid vacation fairly close to day for day onboard. Then I can remain off of work for however long I’d like until I want to bid on a new contract.
How long does your time off last?
It depends upon their contracts and what is available. My dad was a Merchant Marine.

@@BryanBoyle damn that sounds great! Is the pay any good for doing contracts of that length?
