Now retired, I was clinical nurse practitioner in one of Massachusetts State Hospitals. As US citizen with Cambodian native and plan to return back but to rent first and own a house later. C-section in the hospital in US price tag est. $45800 plus avg 3 days hospitalization can bring total cost est up to $75600. However, with private paid health insurance, a patient may pay from her pocket around $1200-$2500 based on insurance types. Low income people who are on US Government run Medicaid program pay $0 from their pockets. How that's sound!
Congratulations on your retirement. I think C-section price in the state is very expensive if no insurance. On the other hand, people on medicaid enjoy the free ride. Hope to see you in Cambodia someday. You are very informative on this subject. Thanks for sharing!
Hello Tachap - Thank you for doing this video to share. This is one of the request that I had mentioned for hospitals in Siem Reap Cambodia. Additionally, this is a hospital where visitors from different countries to go to while visiting in Siem Reap in the event any family member might be sick or encounter sever stomach issue due to food related with high fever and other symptoms. Are there any other hospital beside the Royal Angkor International Hospital?
Every patient need to be treat no matter how rich or poor. Doctor's job is about saving life priority!!That 's the reason we have no trust in Cambodia. SAD
@@yumabal Don't you think Dr have money to keep buying supplies it will go bankrupt! If a Farmer has rice crop and keep handling out to the feed the poor, when he runs out who is going to feed the farmer family? It only do so much these DR could do with limited supply! You gotta look at it both ways not just 1 way!
@@delusionalz8707 Yes, most doctors are doing the best that they can giving the circumstances. I guess everyone of us entitle to our own opinion. The doctors can't rescue us all, but don't we all wish for that. At the end, we all must learn to care for ourselves. Thanks everyone for your feedbacks!

Health Care system is the one thing stopping my retirement in Cambodia. Originally, I am from Battambang province.
It’s not the best, but it is improving slowly.

Yes, there are many other smaller hospitals and clinics.
Do you pay cash or you have some type of insurance?
cash
Diet is best way to go.
Agreed
It looks like everyone in Cambodia is either healthy or simply can’t afford to see a doctor. 😂🤣 Annual check-up is recommended by your doctor.
more like can't afford!!!!
@ like you, I have to agree with the latter.
Most Khmers have no insurance therefore limiting in resources and the understanding of preventions.
