I love that you plugged Witch Hat Atelier. This is my favorite Manga, and I can't wait for volume 11 to come out in the US. I totally agree with everything you said - gorgeous art, fantastic world-building and story, and off the charts creative magical system. The story just keeps getting better and better - plus, a bit darker - which I totally love. Go read it!!!!!!
Nasi Lemak at 1 am is not rare for Malaysians, that's why Mamak places are 24 hours. You're REALLY getting the authentic Malaysian experience off the bat lol. That said, I'm so happy you enjoyed your visit to my home country!! I couldn't go during the con, but even I was surprised by how welcoming and sweet you were greeted there! Also even as a local I can relate with how you feel with Durian 😂
Thank you for promoting Witch Atelier. I've read the series since long ago. Its such a great manga but hardly gets the recognition it deserves. I totally agree with the points u mentioned. While the plot revolves around teenagers, it does have dark moments. Also, the magic system is very well thought of. Mostly based on magic circles. The rest of the video? Absolute wholesome. Please do visit again. I was busy & didnt get to see Shirahama sensei 😭
Honestly I was surprised by her pronouncing Qifrey’s name as “Kee-free,” while I pronounce it as “chee-frei.” Besides the pronunciation confusion, I’m also really happy that I found someone talking about WHA in the comments! It’s such an underrated manga.

So we aren't Malaysian? We help build a lot of the country. We brought them mamak to Sunway! And then some! Only to face discrimination! We did everything for this country only to be told we don't matter! We are Malaysian not malays. If you are Malaysian you'd don't care about race. You care about being Malaysian, which is why we joke about racism, and are ok with it. Because in the end we are satu Malaysia! Not satu race.

IM SO HAPPY U ENJOYED MALAYSIA! As a Malaysian I'm so happy you felt welcomed and had such a good time! Alsooo, Nasi Lemak can be enjoyed any time of the day, so don't worry about it :')
Shirahama Kamome came to my country and I didn't even know
Nasi Lemak at 1 am is not rare for Malaysians, that's why Mamak places are 24 hours.
Happy election day to all Malaysians out there! And thanks Emily for visiting, it’s part of our Malaysian Hospitality 😊

Also who's our government again?😂

Ahhh it was so cool to meet you in real life!! I was the person setting up the table before the convention began on Day 1 and managed to recognise you by your voice first thing in the morning haha! I'm so glad that you had a good time in Malaysia and hope you get to do more and more cons in the future!!!
As Malaysians we don't get as much attention so when it occasionally happens we are very very grateful ,thx for having fun in Malaysia!
I'm not a culture kind of guy but Emily showing the pic of Murugan statue twice, made me so happy. Happy to seeing tamilian culture in videos which I never thought I would see
As a Malaysian who hasn't been back to Malaysia in a couple years, it feels so good that one of your favorite content creators visited your home country and made an actual video out of it. Hope you had a great time. :) PS: I know the exact mamak store you went to as it was near my old house and I have to say great choice.
I may be Bruneian but listening to your stories reminds me back about my childhood wishes. Back then I wanted to live in Malaysia so badly as a kid and until now I still want to but seeing that you're enjoying your stay makes me happy too (even though I'm just Bruneian) like they say....
"Kita ni kan serumpun!"
"i remembered to wear my shorts this time around" what a callback dude. glad you guys had fun. originally from japan, but Malaysia has always been a stop i've wanted to make when i'm finally able to travel like i want to, so seeing you have a good time makes me wanna go even more. i want to travel so bad, but it's simply not in the cards form me right now. kinda miss japan, have for many many years now. but the U.S. is nice for the most part. can't beat a Pennsylvania winter!
It was surreal to be able to meet you during the con. I have watched you for a while and knew tons of creators because of you. Meeting and talking with you is something that I'll treasure forever and I'm really glad you enjoyed the con and Malaysia!! Also juice in the bag for the win!
I don’t have many happy moments but watching yours is just as great, makes me remember to smile and feel giddy you’re energy always seems to rub off on me when I’m down. Thank you!

Emirichu you are one of my very favourite UA-camrs! As a young Asian girl who likes girly things and cries a lot it’s been so nice to see a creator who I relate to. Especially your video on your Asian-American identity. That’s something that I too have been struggling with and watching that video has made me feel less alone. I always smile and feel happy whenever I watch your videos and I rewatch them as comfort on bad days or just for fun on good days. Thank you for creating such fun videos with beautiful art and your amazing personality for us all to watch.
So glad you're enjoying your stay in Malaysia. I'm happy got to meet you even from far away (the line is at max capacity). Hope you'll be back to Malaysia for another convention soon. Keep up your great works.
As a Malaysian, I'm glad you had a happy time in my country.
Never in my wildest dreams that you of all people would visit Malaysia, though this place was rarely ever mentioned in UA-cam. I'm overjoyed that you came to visit this place. Proud to be Malaysian 🤗
As a fellow Malaysian I am happy that you liked visiting our country and hope to see you again!
Hello Zara
As a Malaysian I SCREAM when I read this title AHHHHHHH WELCOME TO MALAYSIA 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you for posting this video and talking about our country and trying out the famous food of our country. I'm glad you have a nice experience here.

I SAW YOU AT THE CON! It was honestly a shock since I didn't check the guest speakers. It's great that you had a wholesome experience here!
How many times can a con make Emirichu cry presumably happy tears? We’re at 3 with this one
and probably more XD
WAHHHH I'm not Malaysian but I am Indonesian! Our cultures and food are very similar so seeing some of the thing being brought up here made me keep going "THAT. I KNOW THAT THING!!!" Malaysians and Indonesians are siblings for real this video made me so happy

The birthday surprise was so sweet. I actually had a similar experience in high school theatre. It was my birthday and we were over for the weekend to rehears. We were called up to the stage for a group mic check, and after the second person tested his mic, everybody started singing to me! I was so happy.

As a Malaysian, seeing this happen in my home country was wholesome. Thanks for talking about the trip experience. Best wishes
As an immigrant who has lived in Malaysia for so long, hearing someone call it Juice-In-The-Bag to a tea drink made me laugh way too hard XD
What's the story behind it being in a bag anyways? Im American, but Ive heard that like, bagged milk (and water, apparently) in Canada was supposed to be punctured and put in a pitcher? Or in little single serve bags to use as like, a Caprisun style thing.

YAY, I was wondering if she would post about this. I’m a cosplayer and i went to animangaki, it was so crowded but was totally worth it. I saw the guest list and saw that she was there, so i watched a bit of the vod afterward.
God, that trip was so sweet I wouldve gotten diabetes on it. And thats literally since the snacks look so so sooo good that Id gorge myself on them until Im sick to the core.
Also, Daidus sending the flowers was incredibly sweet as a gesture from him. If someone did that for me, I would probably feel like the luckiest person alive for at least the night.

The proverbial strawberry on top of her strawberry birthday cake would have been if Emily had also received several juice-in-a-bag juices in addition to that aforementioned strawberry birthday cake during her trip to Malaysia.
I used to live in Malaysia and I loved it there. When you said names that I recognised like Batu Caves (me and my family would go there alll the time as we are Indian) and madam kwans which literally opened up so many nostalgic memories for me, I wanted to just tear up.
