Smart kid.
Thank you we are thinking about getting ducklings this helps alot
they r so cute esp when u put them in the pool
I wanna get a duck but do the bite ?
And do what the great weather for them
+bedoor daily I think it may depend on what kind of ducks you get. We have had two sets of runner ducks that we raised from babies, and none of them have ever tried to bite us. We have only seen an adult male duck peck at baby ducks so you do have to watch out for that. It is hot here in the summer, and cold in the winter, and the ducks have been fine during all seasons as long as you make sure they have food and water. We put a heater in their little wading pool in the winter time.
+Creative Homemaking, LLC thx for te tip ❤️ i will buy a duck soon and this vid help me alot thank you for uploading this
And i have one more question do like they poop in random places or they have to get a side or something? :)
+Creative Homemaking, LLC The water bowls should always be raised high enough so that they do not step in or even poop in it. This is to prevent contamination and sickness. Gradually raise the bowl level as they grow to just the point where they can only stick their heads in to drink.

I love her voice its so calming
Thank you
cool vlog
I love ducks the ducks i own around 5 and we hatched them all and I love them one even hatched in my hands I named him cole his birthday is 2 apart from mine
Your probably not seeing this but if you get more ducks, put water about three inches tall and there feet will lift off three ground and they kind of float a little so as long as your around them they'll be fine or if you have a puddle somewhere in your yard or something then you can put them in that's to get them used to ponds or lakes and after clean them off with clean water and it can be cold as long as they are not in there for that long
I have pet ducks at my grandparents house they are so cute to hold
Duckling
u should have a longer box so there is a cool side and a hot side
brainy_falcon_620 brainy_falcon_620 yeah that's true I have 2 duckling 🐥 and I have a female fully grown but if you don't have a cool side and a hot side they can become very hot and even die hope this is helpful hope you have a great 👍 day

Thank you the mom got freaked out for my ducks so I have to care for them until tomorrow so we can put them somewhere with the wildlife peeps
yellow times a day when purple reaches the top of the tree eating pineapples wich yes
Guys do NOT feed them chick food. Just feed them ducks starter food and then move on to duck food because if you feed them chicks food they will have a high chance of getting angel wing and if you don't know what that is you can go look it up
Honestly, there is one brand that makes just duck food, it is really hard to find and purchase so that's why people feed them chick food. You're supposed to add minerals/vitamins to the chick food to change it into a duck food that helps them grow and helps there bones become strong.
7tsp of Sep I feed my ducks chick food and their wings are beautiful. Brand of food and duck type are a factor.
Brand Peck and Scratch chick starter food is fine for ducklings. It has the required niacin. Look at their website for good information for raising chicks and ducklings.
I love it's lindos
the gray ones like like my duckling, Mochi
Cute
we found a duckling in my backyard today and he is so cute but have no idea how he got here
Can I have a duck AND a dog?!? I really wanna have dogs when I'm older but I also wanna have some ducks
PrettyGayForABisexual yes just introduce them slowly because dogs normally eat ducks
It totally depends on your dog. If you already have the ducks when you get a puppy and train the puppy to leave them alone they will probably be fine. We have a black lab though and she is trained to hunt birds so it's a bit harder with her. She knows she's in big trouble if she messes with our chickens and ducks. She's fine if we are with her but I would never leave her alone with them.
Me too 😢😭😭I don't know which one!
Sure i have 2 ducks, 2 dogs and a cat and they all get along
Whomst-d I have a 5 year old dog and 7 baby ducks. The ducks don’t know the dog yet but the dog was gentle with the rabbits 🐰.
Very helpful😀
I need advice I might get ducklings and I always hear that they need the lamp and when I told my dad he said that they don't need it since we live in Texas and it's always hot Inside and outside should I listen to him or just get a lamp?
Nayeli Orozco You may not need it, one side needs to be at lease 75 and one needs to be 69-74
No
I live in Texas too it’s always 80 degrees and up
This video was very helpful! I was wondering how you got running ducks though?
+Helgatronn We got the runner ducks at a local feed store.
We just got 2 baby ducks today
Do they still live?
Does it have to be dry den bedding ?
Nope! My homeroom teacher got the class ducks couple weeks ago and we use hay or straw..
I just got two baby ducks they are about 5 days old now when can I bring them and the bathtub for a little bit 2 swim
Just until they are a few weeks old like she said they MUST be supervised and don't put a lot of water in or they will drown and if you see a ducklings head go underwater or you see a struggle please take the duckling out of the water and check its okay then maybe drain the water and plop it back in for a little swim or hold the duckling in your hand so it can't drown but do give it independence :)
Very cute little ducklings. The first ten days they are still very vulnerable.
How come their beaks are blue at the end?
They all needs mam und love.
I think its @Indian Runner
gacha puppy it is
Ducks don't have to be 6 weeks old to go outside. I have ducks and they went outside at about 2 weeks old. They started sleeping outside at about 3 weeks old. They don't have to have all their feathers to go outside .
We have two runner duckling
I have a duck that is pinkish and I searched on google about these ducks but I can't find a thing about them so what should i do??
how do tell the difference between males and females? I've raised chickens and was wondering if you can put them together? and if there's a name for female ducklings. :)
Two Point Rider in adults you can tell by the drake feather or weather it quacks or is a little horse. (Only female ducks quack properly).
Young ones early on you can sex by actually (gently) trying to pop the willy out. I don't recommend doing that yourself unsupervised if you haven't done it before.
In some species there are colour differences in others not.
Our female ducks quack very loudly. The males sound totally different and are fairly quiet. They do not make that quacking noise. The males are also noticeably larger than the females. I agree with the commenter above you can sex them when they are young but I'm not very good at it. Yes you can raise chickens and ducks together. We have about 30 chickens and about 8 ducks and they hang out together all day. At night they sleep in separate pens, but they could sleep in the same space. They don't really bother with each other at all. The only problem we have had is having too many male ducks at one time. They will beat up on each other like roosters do.
i have a duckling and i let it have a little shad yers dont
do you always keep the light on, or do you turn it off for bedtime
What if we don't have duck food, can we just give them other veggies being squashed
you could try chick feed unmediated.
PPeklol pris mine eats rollie pollies lol
We can give boiled rice to ducks
As treats you can give them some corn but the best option is Non medicated chick feed
you can feed them anything! like: grass, ants, chicken foods, rice, sliced HOTDOG
I have little three ducks, can you make a video how to recognize bteween the male and the female ?
you aren’t supposed to put them in water so young, or they can die, when they are born, they’re moms give them already the waterproof oil on their feathers, but since they were ent raised with a mom they gotta do it themselves, after a month or so, usually 4 weeks then
At 3:02 what's that silver thing? My sister got two ducklings today and we want to keep them inside for now. But we also have big dogs so
My ducks smaller than this video swiming with me in my deep swimming pool... that's crazy how humans treat ducks as their baby )
Great vid how many eggs did u incubate to get 5 ducklings?
We did not hatch these eggs, we bought the ducklings at a local farm store. We've had pretty good luck hatching duck eggs though. They seem to have a better hatch rate than the chickens we've hatched.
I have two ducks and they don't have a ligth to heat them ca i put them in a box to warm them up
Little wather in the pool
what type of ducks are they
i need help, i found a duckling and it was pretty bad in weather. and i waited an hour for the mom but she never did show, so i took him home. he is a wild duck, he is constanly trying to jump out of his box. and when i get near he trys to peck me. is there a way where he can trust me or stop him from jumping or to no bite me. basicly tame it? its still very young.
PLEASE SOMEONE RESPOND.
I'm not sure if this is too late, but if you want to tame any wild animal, which is very difficult if the animal is older, then all you need is patience. You need to give the duck a reason to trust you. Sit in a pen with the duck, giving it lots of space, and allow it to become adjusted to you. Let it come up to you, not the other way around. Once it begins to get used to you, which will take a long time, then you can maybe reach out your hand and hold it open with food in it. Let the duckling take food from your hand. Do not make any sudden movements or all of the trust you had will be lost. Let me also remind you that this won't take just one hour in a pen or room with the duck. This can take several times of just sitting in a room or pen with the duck. Providing the food is an incentive for the duck to approach you. Always make sure that the duck has proper heating and food and a water supply, and please contact any wildlife rescue if the duckling begins to start looking sick(nautilus, listless, not responding to hand movements), as this can be life threatening for the duckling. Otherwise, goodluck!
Try to feed it with food in your hand... It will come to you
Is he yellow/ gray black or does he have brown Stripes? he could be a domestic duck
and they are not meant to have bedding until a week old just use a blanket or something
chickens live on the ground whereas the ducks like the water. They even sleep on the water. I am wondering why you have them in chicken coop?
cause down feathers are not waterproof and they cant stay in water for along time.
Hey! I’m thinking of getting 2 baby ducks! What do you think Would be the quietest more bondable, friendly pet duck to have? I definetly don’t plan on breeding them. Also what kind of food do u think is best for them?
Shelbie V I'm sure any duck breed can be very kind, just handle them a lot when they're little. The more you handle them the friendlier but don't stress them out. And the type of food you get depends on the breed, so just google it :)
Any non-medicated chick food is fine to feed them. I don't know if any breed of duck is friendly than another. We have Indian Runner Ducks and Rouen Ducks. I wouldn't say any of them are particularly friendly (they don't follow us around or anything), but if you hold them a lot when they are little they won't be as skittish when they grow up.
What's the best kind of duck to have as a pet
What temperature is the water? :)
Nathalie Gamage guessing room tempature
I don't have a duck yet but I'm planning to steal one from the mama duck outside
0-0 Noooo just buy one
Did it work
Do it
Please don’t, try buying one
Boy from the Factory shut the fuck up dude
I might get a duck any tips?
what temp should the water be?
I raised ducks without any heat lamp i just used bread to feed them and a cardboard box for them
Going to guess your kidding? They need heat until feathered out and bread doesnt have nutrients they need...
They could die
He lives in pakistan and i too its always hot and we do not need heat lamp for our anykind of baby birds
I have raises chicks, bulbuls, parrots, dove without lamp...
do i need to buy more than one or do they need friends?
+Hannes Pita Josefsson I would get at least two or three. I don't think they would like to be alone, they are very social. They do get along with chickens, though, if you raise them together.
okay, cause i really really want to get a duck as they are my favourite animal
they should have a companion or they will misbehave without a friend
from where do you get this tub
Hello what do u feed them and if u don't have this box thing, wut can u use???
You should feed them non-medicated chick food. Any penned in area will do, you don't have to have them in a box.
Mahalo just found a baby duckling running down the by its self no mama duck
Me and my brother are getting a duck so (2) thx for telling me,we are getting them next week! Please help me pick out names anyone who sees this! Boy names and girl names!
A mom duck was in our yard with her babies and she left one behind and it's a wild duck and idk if I should call animal control or take it to a vet or should I just keep it and care for it?
+Cheyenne Young they probably have a duck sanctuary near you, they specialize in duck care
2 years later..wonder what happend?
4 years later what happend
Omg
As a adults what can u use to house them? I wanna get a duck :)
You can use like a duck house you can either build one or buy one a duck house is like a chicken coop but usually shorter but we are using and old chicken cook and are modifying it so it works for a duck like getting rid of the perches and nesting boxes I hope this help you in anyway it might be to light but tell me if you have a duck?
I live in a small home is it ok for them to stay near my home in a duck house till, they are able to be in our pond
cilla3636 I will have mine inside all the time so yep
+cilla3636 We had our in the house in our basement for at least a month before we put the outside in a pen.
Ok ;)
My ducks backs are close to bare because the feathers are gone.. :( Whats wrong with them?
They are about 6 weeks old
I've always raised chickens do this may not apply to ducks, but when they reach "adolescence" they lose their downy feathers to make room for their regular ones. That could be it but I've been wrong before.
+Lorenzo Harris I meant so, not do. My bad.
you have to feed them food that is compatible with ducks and chick
just so you know, the ducks huddling in a corner like that means they're cold you should move they;re heat lamp closer
The ducks are like probably old by now idk
@@sonumii1k I know, just in case she gets more also she knew but i didn't watch to that part yet
@@amandastover3644 all good I was just teasing
@@sonumii1k oh ok
how do you provide them with heat
Hi! We use an inexpensive heat lamp that you can use to keep both baby ducks and baby chicks warm. Here is a link to one: amzn.to/2NjjH3t
Might want to mention that they don't actually eat the chick food as chickens. You can not give ducks medicated chick feed. It has to be unmedicated.
Yes, thank you that is correct :)
cover them over....like a mother's wings....for security
well they do t bite and they need warm conditions
Ducks in general don't need warm conditions after they are grown up. Baby ducks do need to be kept warm. We have never had any of our ducks try to bite us, although some adult males will chase you if they are very aggressive. We have only had one duck that did that.
I WANNA DUCK !!!
