@@heather6668 This song was written by his friend Lonnie Donnigan, and his son Peter Donnigan was on The Voice UK, and him and Tom performed this together!!!!!
@@clintashcraft579 Yeah I saw something about the Voice thing. I find it annoying that clearly the contestants are chosen on a 'who you know' basis rather than on a 'yes you have genuine talent' basis. Yes the son may have had talent but my point is that he had the connections to do it on his own and let someone else who is just as talented without the connections get a place on the show. I feel the same even when an unknown goes on and says 'oh, yeah my brother/sister/cousin was on and I want to do better than they did'. With all of the applicants they get, how should that happen?
I went to see Sir Tom Jones on July 6 2024 in Chepstow Wales🏴 Tom is 84 and he sounds fantastic his voice is still the same ,what a show we had what a performer no one will ever sound like him he is Amazing 😻
Tom Jones could, and did, sing practically every genre of music -- pop, soul, rock and roll, blues, country, you name it -- at a very high level. On his weekly television variety show, he sang duets with many of the biggest recording stars of his era, and always held his own. And many of those performances are on UA-cam.
My mother loved Tom Jones and had several of his albums. So, I'm very familiar with him. He was a heartthrob, much like Elvis. In fact, he and Elvis were good friends. .o
You should see him sing this on the Voice UK. The son of the man who wrote this song auditions on the Voice. Sir Tom sings with this young man., at 80+ his voice is still incredible.
If you watch a clip of the voice uk, the writter of this song was Lonnie Donogan and his son auditioned on the show. Tom turned and then found out who the man was and dueted with him with this song. It was a special moment and Tom tears up. Voice still wonderful at 82. x
Sir Tom Jones is a legend and icon. The best ever male vocalist, his power, range, tone and emotion is second to none. As others have said Tom can still sing amazingly well at 82, he just had a No.1 record and is still selling out concerts. On the Voice UK the audience always ask him to sing during breaks, so he recently sang ‘Crumble’ which was just not only beautifully sung but also incredibly emotional as his wife had died and this song was dedicated to her. It’s worth watching, it left me and many others in tears.
It is so enjoyable to watch reaction videos when the reactors seem to have legitimately never heard the song or of the artist before. We know what's coming and are anticipating your moment of being blown away. Great job :)
I was an 8th grader in 1967 and up to that time I had never seen my Mom act like a school girl as she did when Tom Jones came on the radio. Then, it was this exact performance that me and my brothers watched with my Mom and Dad. My Mom thought he was the most gorgeous man she had ever seen. My Dad just sat back and smiled. I guess he enjoyed seeing his wife enjoying herself. She had 5 Italian boys to care for while he worked long hours to support us. He knew she had the tougher job.
He's still alive. Thank god. I think he was on A talent Show. or something like that. It's amazing to me That a lot of the Music back in the sixties and seventies. Are so fantastic that people Is still falls in love with it. they are loving Those Songs as much as we did back then.❤
Tom is a legend... greatly loved here in the UK. Born in Wales he lived in the US for many years before eventually coming home to the UK, where he continues to appear on British TV. Now 84 years old, his voice is still breathtaking..
Good comment about artist ability to fill a stage on their talent alone. Early 70’s, 60’s, 50’s & before, artist entertained & pleased audiences without flashing lights, explosions & acrobatics onstage.
Tom is approaching age 84, still performing in some capacity, may be a judge on the Voice UK yet. It's said he retained 90% of his singing voice. Definitely one of the greatest singers ever and this majestic performance is one of the best!!!!!
I was a teenager when TJ was really popular. I loved his voice then and still do. Great reaction to a phenomenal man and voice. He had his own weekly show. Please react to Tom singing "She's a Lady.
You will watch this one over and over! We boomers are so enjoying watching youth of today discover what we have known for decades... Now on to Delilah and Green green grass of homw... In the order. So happy for your path of musical discovery ...😁
I was born in 1960, my early memories of music include neighbor ladies listening to Tom Jones, so loud you could hear it couple of houses down from all sides of the house, also seeing him on ALL sorts of TV shows multiple times a year for what seemed like all the 60's and 70's, how girls, women of all ages, from 8 to 80, would just rave about him, rave about his singing, his looks, his persona, his performances, his live shows in Vegas, he was in icon and is a legend, all justifiably so.
Next reaction should be Tom Jones doing Delilah! Sir Tom and I are the same age, and I remember when Delilah came out (its like a sequel to I'll Never Fall in Love Again) a lot of radio stations didn't want to play it because it was so controversial....No spoilers but you need to listen to it. And yes, Sir Tom is a beast...and at 82 he can still sing like this (btw he is Welsh).
My mother absolutely loved the Tom Jones show. She would tell us, if you can't stay quiet, leave the room. We stayed quiet. I still love him to this day.
Great reaction, thank you for doing it. By the way, Elvis was one of Tom Jones' biggest fans, Elvis admired his ability and talent, Elvis sent Tom an invitation to meet up with him, this is how they became friends.
Sir Tom Jones is a legend he is still going strong as a judge on The Voice UK he is from Wales where they breed fabulous singers and where I'm from too xx
Watching both of you react and smile let’s me know u appreciate great music and artists. The time or year doesn’t matter, a great song is great forever.
Dusty Springfield was a Famous British Singer who happened to have her own TV Show in England. She had several great songs and a wonderful voice too. She’s been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Sir Tom Jones is one of the best natural singers of all time! He is from Wales and was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth.
Tom Jones comes from Wales where a lot of many great artists have come from the Welsh are known worldwide for their singing voices. Tom Jones is known as "The Voice" in the UK because he can sing all genres of music, check out his duets with "The Cardigans" and The Stereophonics" he is a national treasure to the UK.
Tom Jones, what can you say? One of the greatest voices of all time. Can I also suggest that you listen to Australia’s John Farnham singing a Beatles cover of Help live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. John and Tom Jones knew each other and sang a song or two together. John was a big fan of Tom.
The lyrics of this song are very strong they're about a woman that has done her man wrong and it was written by Lonnie Donegan for Tom Jones who was one of the pioneers of rock and roll in the UK
It's so awesome watching you two react to the music I grew up on. It's very hard at least to find words to explain the power of music, so seeing both of your non-verbal reactions I truly something to love. You two are great together. Thanks so much.
Saw this beautiful man 14 times in concert back in the day ... such a glorious , powerful voice ... and , oh yes , he had some wild dance moves ... he and Elvis were good friends ... lots of funny stories about the two of them !
Great reactions. Another great Tom Jones song you might want to react to is Green Green Grass of Home. I won't tell you what it's about, but it's another tearjerker. 😊👍
Now in his 80s, he judges the UK version of the talent show 'The Voice'. A couple of years ago, the son of the guy who wrote 'I'll Never Fall In Ove Again' turned up for an audition without Tom realising. It was a magical moment when they duetted on the song. Look for Peter Donegan sings ‘Bless the Broken Road’ & ‘I'll Never Fall In Love Again’ | The Voice Stage #58 (maybe fast forward through the first song to 4:00 onwards.)

Sir Tom Jones!!.. the Welsh are known for their singing. None better than Sir Tom. still singing beautifully at 82 today. Your right he is a consumate performer.
There’s nobody like Tom Jones. He’s got more swag in his pinky than a roomful of singers!
