No studio, no auto-tune, no mixing just a pure God given talent.
All the things that missing in today's music
Don't mention that damn auto-tune shit to me,that's cheating, pure and simple-no two ways about it!John M Guinto
Totally pure magic
As it should be.John Guinto
The Old Hobbit; Spot-on!
I love watching the younger generation listen to the pureness of the oldies . Tom Jones is incredible
I enjoy it too. Actually, enjoy watching people just now discovering ANY good music. Oldies, metal, country.. anything
Don't remember who (well-known musician or such, it was more than a decadeagl, more likely two) said it but it amounted to this (not verbatim but in meaning it sure is): There were only three singers who could just let loose, having zero restrictions vocally in this regard and with such power: Elvis, Freddie Mercury, and Tom Jones.
Thats true 👍 im 80s blood, father from 1950 mother 1960. I grew up with all the greats all my life. Tom Jones is a legend. He was a powerhouse with soul. 90s and before, Greatest music ever made
Still is!!!
Only people that have had their heart broken will understand this piece of Art
Amen. No truer words posted.
Romantico Poeta
A great singer's performance of a great song will capture people who've never had that experience themselves, and make them feel it with the performer. This was one of those songs by one of those rare singers.
Sadly... I couldn't agree with you more!
@@Ken-sc3gx BEEN THERE BEFORE...THE SONG IS TRUE....
I hate how he can reach inside you & rip out your heart.
This woman truly understands music. She doesn’t just hear it. She experiences the depth and its meaning. Not many people can feel music within their soul she gets it. God bless.
But, she never mentioned her view on his amazing natural voice talent and performance of the song.
@@DanSmith-cb5vj, I think she didn’t address the performance as the message was so intense for her that she couldn’t. I love this performance my Sir Tom Jones.
Tom is 80 years old now, and he still has that incredible voice and presence. He's a National Treasure.
@canholo none taken. :)
I disagree, Tom Jones is an International Treasure.
His voice hasn't even changed after all these years raw talent
Make sure you check out any of the episodes of The Voice (UK).. he's great in that, even more when he impromptu sings
@@cruiseliner I'm in the UK, so I never miss it lol
It's not always a bad thing to cry. Just now, it proves you are a human, with a good heart.
Most women are, until you get them mad at you, lol!
Here's a woman full of passion, love and appreciation of good music and a good voice!!
You just gave him the best compliment you ever could. Thank you young lady
Singers like Sir Tom Jones..doesn't exist anymore..
Well, he is still around.
Sadly.....but so true
There are still good singers but great pop song writing has declined because of the popularity of hip hop and young guys who might have had a good voice just want to rap! I work in a recording studio and complimented a rapper's singing voice and he actually said these exact words to me: "singing is gay" WTF? 🙄☹️
Try listening to Johnny Manuel
Yeah they do john legend is one
This is just him, 0 computers or Autotune he never needed it, God gave him the talent and he shared it with us...
That Welsh voice is unforgettable...
One of, if not the best vocal performances of all time!!!!
She is so touched and truly has a beautiful heart and is a real woman that any man would love . A perfect sweetheart 💕
What is a woman ? In this sad world we live in ?
This song from Tom Jones still brings tears to my eyes. What a beautiful voice he has.
Me too, you should listen to Till or I who have nothing, I always cry
Y’all bout to make me UA-cam him! I wish I was born back i. Those days!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
She looks great
And he's STILL got it at 80+ years old!!! We don't have powerhouse singers like him anymore!
I have always said that Tom Jones sings with a tear in his throat. That kind of emotion will make women especially cry...
So correct!!! Damn he makes me cry...
SIR Tom Jones. Don't feel bad darlin. Millions of women feel the same way about the guy.
livelaughandlovelong can believe he did this when I was born and five years later he did same to me made me fall in love with him😄.
I remember when he sang this song live. My mother and I both clutched the couch pillows. LOL.
Lost my girl because I got to comfortable and she fell for another man
I've certainly never felt better about having a fat head and tall hair.
Especially the ones that used to throw their underwear at him!
She had her heart broken before. This song resonated
I'm in my 70's and I had this reaction the first time I saw this performance and I still feel the same way..fabulous Tom!
LOL - My Mom always had the same reaction :)
@@rg20322 was your daddy a player then ?
I live in Cardiff and can tell you that people go crazy whenever they hear Tom Jones. Whenever people get drunk -Tom Jones. Whenever the sun is out - Tom Jones. Whenever Welsh sports teams do well - Tom Jones. He is omnipresent
Don’t do that! I was crying with you when my husband walked by and said, “What did I do now?” I just said, “I love you.” 😍
Awww😍❤️
😰😰❤❤❤
Шикарная песня, великолепное
Исполнение.

And then he went out to buy the complete Tom Jones discography! Have fun...
He is like a great aged whiskey, continues to get better with age. I loved his voice when i was growing up , and love his voice now!
Live in one take. He STILL sings almost like this! And, of course, he still makes people cry with that voice.
Mo I cried along with you, this song is my life I was so in love with a women for 5 years did everything you can do for a women and she told me after 5 years that she was not in love with me , It broke me and I'm now 61 years old and have never ever wanted to fall in love again, that was 25 years ago And I'm still single and will never fall in love again. I'm not sure why you where crying maybe you had the same experience but thank you for the best ever reaction to any song I ever heard seen love you baby girl your the best
You and I have a similar experience. 3 beautiful daughters but no desire for another relationship 1984 to 1999, divorced ever since.
All of us have or will experience the pains of heart break sometime in our lives. A person's emotions and feelings are nothing to play with. They can literally kill a person.
It is better is have loved and lost, rather to have not loved at all- some wise guy.
@@letsreason9489 I've heard this phrase once before during the courtship process. It was used then to hide the hidden agenda and actions of a young woman who was not interested in gaining a husband but to justify her immature, childish thinking and antics. It relieved that person from any responsibility or consequences to what she was doing. All actions whether good or bad have consequences. In the end her behavior with no accountability proved to be her down fall and weakness. The proverbial saying: " A person will reap what they have sown" is absolutely true. No one escapes from this life lesson warning. It may take some time but in the end justice will be served.
@@davidarmola6218 it's from a poem.
Don’t worry about your emotions Tom Jones has triggered women’s for decades
Yup....a rapper will never bring out these emotions like a great singer. EVER
You clearly dont listen to hip hop but thats okay.
Obvi never heard yachty before but go off...
How to love by lil wayne try it its really good
@@Michael14089
It's precisely the fact we have listened to hip hop and rap that we can say these things. Tom Jones is in a completely different league.
@ExtraTimeDevils
Agreed, Hip hop is musically inferior to IMO
It's all right, Baby Girl! He got over it!
Greatest male voice EVER.
we will never see another artist like him today
Amen.
there aren't many things in this world that are more beautiful than a gorgeous woman's emotions...
Tom Jones voice is one
@@MrSimonsonLifts shits impressive
Tom Jones, he's such a phenomenal singer!! He performed when music was music; no sampling no computers just pure unadulterated talent! I wish I could comfort you' you're so cute when you cry!!! If I could I would hug you!
And that is why that generation is so special. Music. Simple really. Loved the 5os and 6os and 70s and even the 80s. Brilliant. No swearing no calling women the b. Word. How times of changed. God bless you all.
One of the greatest male vocals, along with Englebert Humperdick xxx
Tom Jones = such a basic name
Englebert Humperdinck = such a quirky name
Both voices = priceless
I saw Englebert Humperdink in Vegas many years back. At one point he began singing a Tom Jones number. He sounded quite a bit like him. The audience didn't want him to stop. But he shifted his hip and that was it.
Both part of "mum's guys." She played them both plus Johnny Mathis, Jerry Vale, and Bobby Vinton. When I miss her, I play them.
“There is a sacredness in tears . They are not a mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition and of unspeakable love.” ~Washington Iriving
or of knowing that you don't get to 'do' Tom Jones.
Bro! You went swimming in the deep end of the pool to find this quote didn’t you? 🔥☝️ And I thought I was the only one born with a tongue and quill. Excellent and on point! Thanks Rick!
You should have seen him in person when he was young! Oh my god the charisma! It took my breath ! He was awesome! The emotion he would evoke!
I saw him in concert in Los Angeles with my then girlfriend and he put on a great show. This was somewhere in the late sixties or early seventies. Baby girl you’re tears of emotion moves me to tears.
Ladies & gentlemen, that’s what you call charisma.
Mo... I was 18 years old the day Tom made that recording. Tom was 27. I had just started dating the girl of my life and was with her for the next 3 magical years. This was 'our' song. Then it happened. What Tom just sang about happened. I never did fall in love again although I tried. I 'did' get married eventually but it only lasted a few years... and I've stayed single ever since. So yeah... this song means something very special to me.
Don't feel bad about tearing up sweet girl. I do too. The good news... now that I'm a senior I'm still very healthy and even more handsome than I was at 18 :-) EDIT: Today is April17th, 2023 and I'm happy to report that although all of us are now two years older, I am feeling even better than I was two years ago. Life is so good when we 'choose to live on the postive side of it'. 💗
Happened to me too sir.I am 62 years old.And I too feel like it is over for me as well.Meet a good woman at 62...I really doubt it.
Just giving this comment because sometimes we feel that we are the only ones living life this way my man.
Paul Hecker I understand exactly what you mean .., I also feel that it is likely too late for me. I’ve spent most of my (60) years alone watching and waiting to find “a good man”,...the “right man”, but fate never brought his path and mine together.
I’ve spent a lifetime waiting until that moment when I would look into a man’s eyes and recognize his soul, and he would recognize mine. But, I suspect it is too late now., too many years have slid by. And yes., it does often feel like I’m the only one living this way...,
Kay, your comment made me more emotional than the song. Although that's pretty emotional, too.
EJ Kyle , you’re not the only one, but you can experience a different kind of love by helping people
You all need to pick up yourselves and realize that you're not the only ones feeling lonely! My wife works at a nursing home and she always tells me these awesome stories about elder people. You all need to stop feeling sad that you're old, some of us admire you because we understand that with age comes experience and that's something to be shared!
Mo: Don't worry you weren't the only one that he made tear-up with the very emotional voice of his. But, you have to admit; he is good and touches your heart.
no autotunes or any gimmiks,,,, pure talent
That is a Voice from the Welsh Valleys. Just pure power..
Yes, that is such factor. Tom Jones from Wales, UK.
My mom used to yell at me if I said ANYTHING shut up! Tome Jones is singing.
I’m almost 60 years old are used to watch my mom get busted up listening to this song and watching you brought back all those memories thank you thank you
I'm 64 and I can't recall ever hearing this song by TJ. I was tearing up along with you.
I just saw Sir Tom Jones in concert a few months ago. At 82, he sounded exactly as good as he does here. One of THE best shows I've ever been to. His band was absolutely amazing.
I loved seeing the older ladies who probably fell in love with him back in the 1960's on their feet and dancing, bright smiles on their faces, some happy tears in their eyes on occasion. Might have been the first time they'd ever been able to see him live, and it was likely the last time.
Look up Tom Jones Turning Stone to see clips of the show I was at. It was an amazing night.
I was 2 or 3 years old[53 now] when I first heard this man sing on a television show my auntie was watching.....I remember sitting on the floor watching in front of the set and was captivated by his singing and looks, for me to remember this speaks volumes, this had to have been late 60s ....TOM JONES is a BEAST!!!!!
What I find really amazing about Tom Jones is he's now in his 80's and he's still got his chops.
God bless you girl. I heard this song 50 years ago and I had the same reaction. And I'm a dude!
Tom Jones has a big, soulful voice and superbly delivered this song.
Good to see the younger generation appreciating his interpretation of a great, touching song with meaning. I pressed repeat many times.
The one and only Mr Tom Jones. They don't come any better Lady!
You should do a reaction to Tom Jones singing "Kiss" by Prince
This man was dismissed by so many. he is so far up there, just a beautiful voice.
I was one who dismissed him. I was into rock&roll the stones the who Beatles kinks deep purple but years layer I realized my God what voice. Now I have such an admiration for this man. Glad I rediscovered Tom Jones!
@James Lannon define shit if u can
@@mikehaight8664
The others you mentioned were still great though! 👍
I cried listening to this every freaking time, i know how u feel sis!
I completely understand the emotions you felt listening to him sing. Karen Carpenter has the same effect on me. My heart was broken when Karen died. I grew up with this kind of music. I graduated in 1977 which was the year Elvis died, which was another hard one to take.
Born on the day he died
Sir Tom has been making people cry for over 50years,🇨🇦😄
He is now 80 yrs old and can STILL belt out a song!
Toms the man.
He was such a typical 70's man. Women throwing underwear, hairy chest, medallion. Had it all. And from the valleys boyo.
Great voice.
Legends live forever, look at Elvis and buddy,Tom is one of the kings. Glad you are young and enjoy real music/ emotions.big ❤️
Tom Jones's voice goes through all the required levels that you personally want to hear, power, perfect tessitura, metal is unique and wonderful, the perfect voice to interpret and transmit every feeling, he says singing everything he feels and doesn't we ask to communicate, he does it for each one of us with the best voice in the world. great singer, the BEST
Loving your natural beauty, accent, smile and your emotions towards the song. You rock!!!
My mum loved Tom Jones ( she was also Welsh) I had heard him over the yrs, but never heard this song. Damn, I sat and teared up, Tom really is the real deal.
Why are there no more singers like this...modern music really has nothing on the quality of yesteryear.
Everybody faces heartbreak of some sort in their lives and Sir Tom's powerful voice can really convey that! You were obviously feeling the pain of the song. Hope you're OK...😍
Tom Jones made every guy in the world jealous.his looks and the voice.wow what a voice he had so powerful and yet easy to listen to.even now at 80 he is still making guys jealous and his voice still so powerful.my wife once said it's in the heart that matters and when Tom sings it's definitely from the heart so for all that didn't like this song then check your pluses because your dead.
Your reaction is proof positive that Tom did it right! That's how a sad song is supposed to make you react if the singer projects their feelings into the music. Tom Jones is a true artist and still performs. He was a judge on The Voice UK and sang on the show. He also has made music videos in the last decade such as the songs Burning Hell and Tower Of Song. Tom recently celebrated his 80th birthday!
Aww, a living legend!👑
Tom Jones has that million dollar cry in this voice. Listen to What’s New Pussycat next.
I cry when I hear this song also. 💜He has a powerful voice. Amazing singer. ❤️🥰💜
The first 1:10 minutes you're still smiling and somewhat hopeful bc he sings amazing, then it seems you listen to the lyrics and turn sad. 😟 same here. Every time.
Exactly what happened!
You analyzed this so well🥺
Thank you!🙏❤️
I love this record, the raw emotion and tone of Toms voice just reaches deep within and stirs our own deepest ‘stuff’
He is as fine now as he was then. Love his voice.... Still sings as great as he did then. ❤❤❤❤❤
His father wanted him to become a miner just like him but Tom had something else in mind. What a genius and a great vocalist of course.
It was said that he had a black voice. When you are heartbroken, this is a good song to help you let it all out. And you will cry, be sure about about that! I still cry when hearing this song, am I'm 53Y old. Damn you Tom Jones!
dont worry sweetie, Tom Jones has absolute magical powers to many, many many Ladies...it cant be helped, you cant stop it,..you can only hope to contain it........He is that man.
I am still in love with Sir...he gets all ages❤️...he’s 80 and still FINE😍
When a song makes you feel some thing, it has succeeded.
Don't be sad nice lady. Tom has a way of reducing women to tears. He is also Great at making them smile. It'll be ok.
You know i discovered this song recently on the radio, since that day, i havent been able to listen to it without crying. At least in this life, it seems i was not meant to be loved, even when i was a child. Now i made peace with the idea of not being loved, maybe in a next life. Thank you for this video, it was beautiful to see someon else conect with the emotion of the song.
The phrasing and power of Tom Jones vocal on this track is truly phenomenal! Incredible vocal!
This young biddie is funny as hell. Love when youngins finally get to here the music we grew up on.
Can't stop watching. Love your reaction !! Powerhouse Voice, still going strong today !! But he's still so in LOVE, there's a chance he will take her back !! There is always hope !! right... ??
The only way my singing could make a beautiful woman cry is if I accidentally stepped on her foot while I was singing to her!
Tom Jones is an icon in America and he’s good looking and oh his voice is smooth as your skin..
You have a lot more songs he made his..
I can feel it in my chest. It hurts to fall in love. How true
By the way you can check the Gino Vanelli song Hurts To Be In Love
Fell in love with this man and voice in my teens......I'm not 70 and STILL listening to him belt them out!!!!! Is he gorgeous or what>??>>>>?????????
I’ll be honest…I was very impressed by his voice. But , I didn’t get emotional until I saw your reaction. Seeing your empathy so genuine…and imagining someone breaking your heart had me reaching for the tissues!
I hope nobody ever breaks your heart.
oxoxoxoxoxoxo
Ah yes. A woman's emotions and how powerful and all encompassing they can be. Mo shows us that human quality that speaks without words. Even if I had not heard Tom Jones singing, I could feel and see the sadness and the agony of the thought or the meaning of the song.
you have a beautiful smile
Music for the soul, each connecting differently but at the same level, it's a paradox anomaly. God bless from Ireland 😉
new video posted please tell family and friends.
Прекраснаая, чувствительная
песня.Исполнение на высшем уровне.
Много раз слушаю, прекрасно.
thank you my friend and please, keep watching my channel.
If your reaction is this kind of emotion, there's no need to hide it. It's PART of your reaction. And it's perfectly alright.
He is such a talented man it's not surprising he's still popular to this day
There's no pain like a broken heart but i think Oscar Wilde said, " It is far better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all".
Which didn't help me at the time but i can look back now and be grateful for the time spent with that lady.
Keep playing the music hon. Xxx
He still singin' (yes singin' and not singing.) today and works as a coach on The Voice UK.
Still sounds amazing. He sings on there occasionally.
You let Tom and the words take you where your emotions want to go. Some times it's sad, but that
is what makes music so special. Can hurt like knife or hold you like a mother's hug. Great reaction.
Let's just say Tom Jones had it all.

@MICKEY THE BULLTERRIER lol.
So do I.
@MICKEY THE BULLTERRIER I have but that because my wife wanted me to do her laundry 😁
@MICKEY THE BULLTERRIER
I threw mine at my girlfriend.
She ducked and they stuck to the wall.
Tom and Stevie wonder are the two most welcome and loved performer over the last 50 years
Baby Girl, Don't listen to this song if you've been mistreated. There will be happier days.
That's a classic.. real song, real artist, and most importantly real emotions from singer. There's no real music like that anymore.
It was to be expected that any normal healthy female would react like this while listening to Tom Jones's voice ! He was the first vocalist reaching those frequencies vocally that could melt your brain and heart away , deep tone , oozing masculinity and sex appeal all in one package in combination with his swager and almost dancing stance , moving his hips ...there is a video of him singing and ladies from the audience kissing him in the mouth in any given chance ...not a coincidence , his voice is pure chemistry boost !
I believe you may have mistaken him for Elvis Presley my friend.
Little Sister your Honest Real & Emotional reaction was just Your SOUL FEELING Tom's PAIN..... I too wept with ya girl and I'll be Adding This Song to my 25 favs that I sing.
THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL SOUL 👍🇵🇷🗽✌️
One of my late aunties favourite songs. God bless her. R.i.p.
Love this song so amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
When I first heard this song about 3 years, or so, ago, I played it at least 10 times back to back. I reacted just as you did (well, almost). I love it! It's my 'go to' song. Thanks for sharing.
When a singer can invoke your primordial emotions with their voice, you just have to bow down in a show of respect. Tom gives it all in his performances. He began singing in Welsh miners choirs before moving to London and making it there. When he played Las Vegas the women would shower him with underwear and hotel keys.
Bless her heart that triggered something inside of her. One can tell the very moment he took you over. Don’t feel bad he takes them all over.
I grew up hearing his vinyl records and singing his songs... and he looked so good on the screen!
The thing about this song that gets such powerful reactions, aside from his stellar vocal ability, is that for women it is exactly how every woman wishes a man would feel when she breaks his heart. Not that women want to...but this is how deeply a woman wishes a man feels about her...
And for guys...every guy can relate to this sort of heartbreak. At least every guy who has ever fallen in love. Who hasn't had a broken heart? Just about everyone!
You bought me to tears!!! You have such a sweet soul!!!
