- Опубліковано 26 лис 2023
- A high-speed car chase created on my spare time to experiment take recorder and sequencer of Unreal Engine 5. All assets except the Porsche are available for free in City Sample project (Matrix Demo) from UE Marketplace.
Thanks to @GuillaumeDulong for his incredible soundtrack, which truly brought the project to life.

This probably took a year to make. It’s incredible. Felt like I was watching a new Michael bay movie.
could be wrong but month or less is more likely
Yea I would bet it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months depending on how much they were working on it@@ishaan863
@@ishaan863 rendering would take a month
@@mehmetchad not with lumen hwrt XD - a few hours to render at most, although some of this looks path traced so hard to tell
Yeah. I was waiting for the porsche to transform into an autobot lol
That 911 Turbo bro. Looks right, sounds right and is incredibly cool doing it. The whole thing feels like the CGI for a big-budget movie. Congrats man, blew me away
As a person with the same Turbo, I can tell you that’s the audio in the video is garbage. Everything else is phenomenal. Physics are mediocre
@@CentralProducts. You have a 90s era 911? I remember they did handle this way. Newer ones are garbage.
Sounds right??? Lol it sounds horrible like a fast and furious movie.
@@curiousnomadic that 911 looks like 80s to me.
It’s an ‘89 carrera ya noobs
If a few guys can make this, imagine what an entire studio can do.
Most times they do the bare minimum or fuck all cos they already got paid or have zero care for applying passion
You don’t have to imagine. Literally just watch any Hollywood movie.
Lol, I wish it were as simple as that
This WAS made by a studio, as the environment is the Matrix Demo by Epic games themselves, so it's only partially made by them
do a half ass job and call it a work in progress then disappear
No music with pure car sounds is the best thing ever
have you seen the OG "Bullit" car chase sequence? Think you'd like it
@@AlanCMcLaughlin super entertaining to see the 60s muscles cars
I've seen a LOT of car chase scenes, made with Unreal Engine.
This is by far one of the absolute best.
The cinematography is effin incredible.
The lenses, angles, camera shake, lighting...
Smh. Truly an inspiration.
Dont forget the Sound FX as well. Damn i loved every second of it
You should see "The crew" trailer from back in 2013
GLAZER
I thought Unreal 5 is solely made for car chases.
@@volo870 😂
Fantastic grading, realsitic and cinematic camera work, damn good animation and editing, great intro story and pacing.
Wouldn't call this at all realistic, nowhere near even. On computer graphics level this is top notch but realistic this is certainly not.
@@flybeep1661hater alert
i agree bu tin second 43 the car goes into the ground btw
@@dangerousboss3421 There's a line between hating and staying on realistic soil

No unnecessary explosion no over the top sound effects... this is
gold 🏆
actual transformers 1 level sound design holy those pauses during the roll over are insane
Funny you specify Transformers since it sounds very much like it's all sfx clips from the films haha
@@illiterolol is it acually just clips ?
@@illitero there are sound packs with transformers sfx on internet
This should be an advert for Porsche
CAUSE THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
Feels like a NFS game, what a masterpiece
People sure have gooten loose with calling things masterpieces lately. This is well made, but let's be real, a masterpiece is something else.
@@Nightflash28 chill out bro, I know it’s not the fucking Mona Lisa💀 just a saying
Yeah throwback to the 2005 most wanted intro scene. Instantly thought of need for speed in the first couple seconds. If EA brought this vibe back they would be back in business with the franchise.
Ikr! Its like NFS Most wanted
Reminded me of NSFmw
The sound design on this is so under appreciated! Amazing job!
Yep, the sound is catastrophic, nothing matches with REALITY
Which parts are you talking about... 😅
when police car flip it sound like i drop my drink at 2 am
I agree!! It was incredible
It sounds like wet dog fart, what'cu talkin bout
The best usage of the City Sample project I've seen so far. Great job, bravo!
I've recently been writing a character for a small story. He's a thief for hire, and does most of his getaways in an older 911. I just have to say, that this is perfectly what I had always thought of when I try writing him. And overall, this work is beautiful, I can't imagine how much time and effort it took to make this beautiful piece of art. Thank you for making this!
Insane Visual Quality, Sound design & Pacing - 10/10 Production 🔥🔥🔥
wouldn't say 10/10 but its pretty good for indie creation
Gives me NFS The Run vibes. This was really cool!
I’d say high stakes
Holy fuck I feel like I just watched an actual scene from an NFS game, knocked it out of the park bro well done
Holy shit, that's crazy good! The shading, the animation, the sound design. I would bet a lot of money you're doing this professionally. Good job man!
Mind blowing! Whenever I see car animations I always look for how the car looks and feels, if it has the right physics or "weight" to it. That paired to the amazing scene makes this is just perfect!
This is like a classic need for speed trailer/intro. Great job 👏
I feel like we haven’t gotten proper great Hollywood car chases in years outside of Bond and Mission Impossible and this short video had the sort of energetic editing and excitement you’d expect to see in a blockbuster. Great job
This is incredible. From the effects, to physics used, my favorite part without a doubt was the world building done to make this a masterpiece. Can't wait to see what else you got
The "world" wasn't created by him. This is from the Unreal Engine 5 Matrix demo. Quite a bit easier than makeing something from scratch.
@@NorbertKasko sweet, Even better. I love how legit the engine is looking
Holy sheeesh🔥🔥 that was really good, some shots were very realistic, very good camera work and transitions. The collisions n crashes were we'll made (it was snappy and crisp). I had fun watching it and I'm inspired. Great work keep it up🔥, hope to see more videos like these!!!
Stuning visuals, great use of camera movement and angles, amazing sound desing: 1000/10
Absolutely insane job! Shots, edit, sound design, FX are top quality, and love the choice of the 911 Turbo! Bravo 👏
Bro I think many people would love to see your process of thinking and approach to making this stuff. Fine stuff sir, keep it up 👌🏻
Thanks man! I'll try to provide a tutorial of this when I'll have time.
@@Flo_Garcia.that would be great !
@@Flo_Garcia.We wait
@@Flo_Garcia.How long did this take bro?
pleaase how did you rig the car? @@Flo_Garcia.
sound design is absolutely incredible, lovely work on your end as well bro this is great
This was phenomenal. The most incredible stand-out thing to me, aside from the obvious visuals, is the sound design. So immersive!
THE SOUNDS ARE INSANE
The transition that happened at 0:50 is just mind boggling. dude really 👏🏽
Love the audio... makes it so much more visceral. Great work. Instant follow!
I LOVE your style!! Everything from the shots to the sound design was perfect
its the sound effects for me, that´s peak quality
This is first class in every detail, amazing editing!
Ngl, those engine sounds gave me transformer vibes, but damn that's some crazy stuff right there! Great work mate, subbed!
The sense of speed in this is absolutely wild
Omg yeah I was thinking the same thing!! The editing helps to give that impression too with the quick cuts and the slo-mo is placed so well
Sure it looks great, but half of what makes this video so great is the incredible sound design for such a short video, congrats !
as a music producer the sound design was absolutely on point, I replayed it so many times. of course everything else is also just amazing man, felt like the good days of need for speed
Well as a sound designer I can say that a car crashing into concrete doesn't sound like a broken wine glass and cities should have ambience
@@codyrap95glad I'm not alone on that one. I thought the sound was the weakest part of the video. Makes no sense to praise it. Other aspects are great tho.
@@codyrap95 the cop car rolled over into the asphalt which made the glass crush hence the glass breaking sounds?? you can literally see the glass flying everywhere in the video. also the beginning of the video had city ambience (violin playing on street, footsteps, traffic noises), wtf are you smoking that you thought to make that comment. these types of videos are supposed to be extra dramatic, ofc the sounds are going to be overdone and not 100% accurate of real life. there's a difference between being a critic and being nitpicky just to be an ass. I'm curious to hear what "sound design" you've done lol
Gotta appriciate the sound design too. It gave the oomph! to the stunning visuals. Great work.
It's garbage
Yeah the sound work is really awful@@dr.angerous
@@dancersendrecords1469 agree, kinda you can see how professionals and movies are made insanely better. This amateur indie shit sucks
@@dancersendrecords1469he used the sound from the video "the last viper" by pennzoil it's a great video
Bro this is matrix demo game this id not animation
HOLY SHIT. Man, I thought I'd seen the best of the best as far as "The Matrix" demos in UE5 were concerned, but nope. This one takes the cake. My goodness that was bananas. Absolutely love this.
The SOUND DESIGN OOF!
Such beauty, such detail, such art. Great work!
Bro this is matrix demo game this id not animation
Nobody can notice that as I see, but I appreciate unusual style of sound design right there. Also, great renders and the scene is well produced by itself man!
Yes the sound is the best part haha
The sound is incredible, I was thinking the same thing. Surprised there aren't more comments about it.
@@soop1711 At least, now I know, that I'm not only one person who appreciated that part of this short:)
Yes, it's amazing. Description says it's made by @GuillaumeDulong who doesn't have that much stuff on his profile
Really nicely done. My only critique would probably be to lessen the heavy sfx so the effect doesnt get stale cause even though this was 1 minute i got annoyed by some if the sounds by the end if it. Just using them more sparingly would create more impact when you do hear them. Thats it, amazing work man!
That sound design is PERFECT
The whole thing feels like the CGI for a big-budget movie. Congrats man, blew me away
Good thing the Screen Actor’s Guild demanded that humans still be included in movies. And the writer’s guild demanded that humans be involved in writing.
Why it is good?
@@user-ev2hs7kl3i it’s good for them. In a handful of years they’ll be pretty replaceable.
@@zero11010 indeed its good for them, but nothing good for the rest of the people, right?
@@user-ev2hs7kl3i your usage of the word it in this context is confusing.
Is “it” the fact that AI cannot be used for these things and you’re asking about if that’s good for every one else? That was the topic.
Or are you talking about if AI is likely to be problematic for others? And the “it” you’re talking about is AI?
The pronoun game is challenging.
@@zero11010 I am sorry for being confusing, as I am not an AI model, I can be unclear :)
I meant the original topic. The actors defended their legacy way of earning money, but it is good only for them. I would prefer if the movies production (as well as all other industries) become cheaper, faster and of better quality by replacing as much as possible with technologies. Still there are plenty things to do in the world, and AI won't take all. If actors value Arts, they can play in theaters. But if they are here only for money - okay, they are not needed anymore, that's how capitalism (and life) works
Same for writing
Sick work! Excellent sound design, scale and cinematography.
really neat sound design, great clip! keep it up 🔥🔥🔥
The Crew 1 remaster looks amazing!
Outstanding work! Felt like I was watching a new Need For Speed game trailer.
The sound design is incredible 🤩🤩🤩
Gotta say - I love your sound design. It has a punch. It's visceral. Excellent work all around.
Whoever did the sound effects for this did an amazing job
reminds me of mw 2012 cutscenes. great job!
This feels like the old need for speed games ❤
Watched it 5 times in a row. Awesome work, thanks for sharing!
AMAZING! Visually stunning but the sound design 🔥
The sound design on this is phenomenal. Beautifully paced around the cuts and transitions.
This brings those NFS Most Wanted vibes, nicely done
Amazing Flat 6 sound!
I think you’ve just reminded me of my love for old Porsches ❤
The visuals are amazing but I really want to spotlight the sound design. I love how frenetic and aggressive it makes each shot feel.
Frrr
Car goes into the ground at 0:43 but other than that unreal lol the sound effects are next level especially when passing the buildings giving the impressing of speed. Class
Ok I’m not the only one who noticed
Incredible. Great work!
That was amazing, sound Design Was Epiiiiiiiiiiic
The sound design on this is amazing
I think it's absolutely terrible...
@@G0UDIEyep..
OK WOW. The physics, camera works, story telling, lighting and of course the unmatched sound design instantly made it the BEST car chase I've ever seen. Not just in animation. But EVER. And I love all the fast and furious movies.
woah everything other than the sound design is amazing
Super cool! Thanks for the hardwork! Really shows your dedication from this video alone.
Nice work but, at 0:43 the front part of the car goes inside the road
0:44 into the floor 🚙🤔❌️
the sheer quality is amazing! if it wasn't in the title I would not have known that this was made in blender for the first couple seconds.
holy shit this is too underrated. this deserves more attention. I am flabbergasted on how good this is. you could trick me into thinking its a game trailer
0:17 - the police car is a tank?
0:36 till 0:42 gave me chills. shots were executed perfectly. the shake sound everything worked well together. gj

This is actually a great prompt for writers/screenwriters. Use this as an intro and make a story. Who are the characters, what is the context, etc.
Mesmerized by the visuals & Astounded by the Sound design. Everything is finesse.
