For example: if I take $100 in materials to create a machine worth $1000, how do you represent that $900 in value that's been added to the market? You have a paper money system based primarily on a country's GDP. Problem is: Even if you have cash for it that cash lost interest the minute you have it by the time you buy something your already in debt. If the majority spends money they don't have even those with money lose money and risk to lose their owned items by any new laws or defuncting previous preotection laws.

Cash IS debt, that's the whole point of currency. you received cash as a stand in for indebtedness. by buying something with cash you are exchanging debt in one form for debt in another form, so to say "if you don't have cash for it, don't buy it" makes no sense. you seem to be claiming the only valid form of indebtedness is cash, which simply isn't true.

Check edit there is one thing I forgot, but this information still stands: When the Fed "gives" money to a bank, it's not that simple. The Fed purchases a bond (think loan if you don't know what that means) from Bank A at an interest rate set by the chairman. Bank A then pays back that loan with revenue it makes from all of its services, plus the interest the loan required. Conversely, the Fed can also issue its on Bonds to Bank A, and the roles switch, now the Fed gets cash-in-hand (so to speak), for which they will pay back later plus interest. There's nothing inherently evil about that. 3. The Fed does print money, however it also destroys money. There is a careful balance of new money in and old money out to protect against inflation. For example: if I take $100 in materials to create a machine worth $1000, how do you represent that $900 in value that's been added to the market? You have a paper money system based primarily on a country's GDP. Cash IS debt, that's the whole point of currency. you received cash as a stand in for indebtedness. by buying something with cash you are exchanging debt in one form for debt in another form, so to say "if you don't have cash for it, don't buy it" makes no sense. you seem to be claiming the only valid form of indebtedness is cash, which simply isn't true.
And if you still want something that costs more than you can afford, save up and only buy it when you have all the money. The good part about this is maybe during this time you will have lost interest in the item.

This is video is a gross oversimplification of a complex issue and is spreading enormous amounts of misinformation, I don't have time to finish it so I'll come back after I have time to clear up the rest, but here's what's wrong so far:
1. The Federal Reserve is NOT a private bank. The trustees of the Fed are appointed by the US government, I don't know exactly which part does it, e.g. The senate, the executive branch, etc. but the US government selects them. The chairman of the Fed is appointed by the president. On a scale of The Dept. of Transportation to Freddie Mac to Fed-Ex, the Fed lies somewhere between DOT and Freddie Mac
2. Check edit there is one thing I forgot, but this information still stands: When the Fed "gives" money to a bank, it's not that simple. The Fed purchases a bond (think loan if you don't know what that means) from Bank A at an interest rate set by the chairman. Bank A then pays back that loan with revenue it makes from all of its services, plus the interest the loan required. Conversely, the Fed can also issue its on Bonds to Bank A, and the roles switch, now the Fed gets cash-in-hand (so to speak), for which they will pay back later plus interest. There's nothing inherently evil about that.
3. The Fed does print money, however it also destroys money. There is a careful balance of new money in and old money out to protect against inflation. This video implies that inflation is at 1000% which is simply outlandish and moronic.
This is not a topic that can be explained with this "look how corrupt everything is" attitude.
I'll comment later when I have time to go over the rest of the video and explain why the banks felt they needed "more" when most people would say they already had enough. Don't get me wrong, the banks were greedy motherfuckers but they weren't as moronically greedy as you might think. A lot of this stuff has to do with deregulation, the Basel rules, and credit derivatives. But I'll try my best to explain that later.
*Edit:* There is the Fed funds borrowing in which banks can borrow money from the Fed when they have an imbalance of deposits and loans, however this is payed back overnight.
I did end up writing something later on, it was more about why 2008 happened. I can post that if you want.
