I always play skyrim in 3rd person lmao. I generally hate the first perspective in most games so it would definitely have bothered me had the game been exclusively first person.
3rd person is great, but Skyrim did that quite poorly. Camera feels like you are in a car, doesnt follow anything and I had some issues with camera being irresponsive to mouse movement once in the 3rd person (needed to restart the game). On top of that, melee feels mediocre with it (absolute average, its just there while not being unlocked - you cant change direction while not turning the camera at the same time unless you use mods like shown in the video), but anything ranged was an absolute nightmare due to no locking system and overall targetting cursor misplacement (especially on my caster playthrough, needed to always remember that Im targetting about 2mm above the cursor in the vanilla). Not a fan of Skyrim 3rd person camera, fan of Dark Souls/Witcher 3rd person camera style though.
Honestly, the people that say "Just use mods!" Don't understand that the game itself is supposed to be complete and that mods are just additions too it, not complete overhauls Also why do so many modders try to copy Dark souls in a game that does not work well with it's combat style?
it does work well if you mod it right and the fact is skyrim is lacking in so many departments compared to for example morrowind or oblivion for example i use a vanilla plus modlist enhancing the graphics whilst keeping a vanilla style and aesthetic adding more immersive lore friendly armour , weapons , gameplay mechanics that make the game more like morrowind and a proper rpg and indepth , improved cities and towns aswell as ai and quests making the ai feel real not just mindless zombies infact skyrim has less unique npcs than morrowind which is dissapointing and the cities are so small

I wouldve agreed with your opinion on ENB years back, but honestly they just look stunning now. In every situation, albeit with a massive performance loss.

Gotta disagree with ENB. It all depends on the ENB itself. Some enb with change the weather, lighting, coloring, Edge Smoothing etc. Which can and will completely change the way the game looks.
Also the experience mod updated like a week after this video came out, I'm also using it rn and it's really nice! Makes questing and new lands mods really great to use since I'm not leveling up as quickly

I have spent a fair amount of time trying to make Skyrim feel more like Morrowind, with the music, font, attributes, racial powers, and birth signs. Some mods also make the world a lot less leveled (though it's already much less leveled than Oblivion). Hit chance combat is probably not possible in Skyrim, at least not in a playable form. I know lots of people hate it, but as a DnD fan it really doesn't bother me. Something I do like is that Skyrim's various DLC like Hearthfire and Fishing are bringing back the old life simulation aspects of Arena and Daggerfall. A banking system and horse carriages for loot would go a long way towards giving the series a feeling of returning to its roots!
Dude my xbox mod load order combat by itself is 4 times immersive as yours here and i definitely have like 30 different animation mods, dude i even have Bf2s parry system mod where the melee combat i shit you not is open word "hero showdown"
If playing through Steam, making a copy of the game's directory and using that for your modded install means you can play it without having the game auto-update from under your feet. That way, your mods don't just suddenly break, because updating the base game will now be an active decision you have to make. Also worth noting: MO2 makes modding, and tweaking of mods, a breeze.
To combat the constant updates breaking my mod lists, on my last mod list, I used the downgrade patcher when modding. I update to AE and download all the content then use the downgrade patcher and it well patches the game to Pre-AE version all while you having the ability to still use the AE content. Is it more of a pain in the ass to do yes, and you also gotta find that specific SKSE Version for that game version too. But you get access to more mods.
The problem with Skyrim graphics is not that they don’t have the man power. It’s that they had to release a game that was compatible with consoles. At release the most powerful console had 0.5GB of RAM.
i don't understand why he keep saying that blocking isn't important, dude play that game at "legendary" mode (is the only way) you will see how important is to block lol
God, all those mods that require DAR are so appealing. I don’t have the patience to revert my game version just to do it, though, as I’d have to redo every other mod too..
I'm playing skyrim rn and trying to do a similar thing, and wildcat is a godsend. I spend one minute fighting a regular enemy because both our health bars were so huge and we did no damage, so I upped my damage to 2x and enemies to 3.5, really made the game feel great.
I've been playing too much Daggerfall. Those NPC's at some angles keep looking like paperdoll sprites for a brief second. It's freakin me out Honestly it would be cool if someone were able to make a texture pack that turns NPCs into paperdolls, it'd match that lower resolution style
Personally I like the texture and lighting mods that make the characters look like painted in textures. I love the anatomy of races, with the painting textures is tops. True directional movement and smooth cam are the greatest gift to skyrim
The one thing that I really wanted in the game without mods was the option of being able to redo your houses because there's times when I'm not comfortable with the final layout
For the pointless fucking updates Bethesda keeps releasing for Skyrim, you can manually stop Steam from updating the game permanently. And most mods now work for the same specific version of Skyrim SE, so you can just revert your game back to a previous version/update using a patcher. Doing this is highly recommended and will save you a lot of heartache in the future with modding.
the jokes in this like the oblivion joke and the dick grayson joke are honestly what secured my sub 😂 plus this content is amazing, i love how you're explaining yourself along the way!!
They aren't emulating dark souls, if anything their emulating how skyrim does difficulty. Playing dark souls you'll realize most enemies actually don't have much health.
@@TheCantinaChannel this is why we can’t take your mods videos seriously. You have no idea how to use the basic skses and their dependencies. You also use old combat mods that have been upgraded. MCO is better than CGO. Valravn is better than Wildcat.
As long as Sykrim's NPCs, quests and dungeons are boring (and quests lead into a dungeon, without exception), Skyrim will always be the same-y goo that it is. Cuz while the dungeons were hand-made, they use a limited set of assets, and humans as opposed to an algorithm can get bored and out of ideas when using said assets.
You lost me at the "ENB won't make the game look better because the devs already made it as good looking as it can be". Uhhhhhhh, yyyeahhhh. I mean, just the ENB won't do much, but with the presets made by the modders... that's an entirely different story. I get it that there's a lot of you people that likes the graphics of Vanilla skyrim, and honestly, I don't know why except the mentality of "I don't like change". ENB alone without help of any retexture mods can change the feel of the world from gloomy to nigh realistic.
I’m probably the only person who thinks Skyrim looks good (not the best, but I like it), there’s still times were I stop and just look at the world.

Something I do like is that Skyrim's various DLC like Hearthfire and Fishing are bringing back the old life simulation aspects of Arena and Daggerfall. A banking system and horse carriages for loot would go a long way towards giving the series a feeling of returning to its roots!
7:30 the point of 3rd person is completely lost on you if you think it should only affect combat.
It's been a month and the goat is finally back
Dude my xbox mod load order combat by itself is 4 times immersive as yours here and i definitely have like 30 different animation mods, dude i even have Bf2s parry system mod where the melee combat i shit you not is open word "hero showdown"
Sheen this is 7th time this cycle you have turned skyrim into a different game
The worst parts of Skyrim's art direction are the lack of color in many areas and the character models.
This looks dope, as someone who loves skyrim and borderlands this is pretty neat
I guess Enderal answers the question.
Wow, Mason... Really nice editing! I like it. Hope, I can make it to a stream of yours again soon. Has been a long time.
The problem with Skyrim graphics is not that they don’t have the man power. It’s that they had to release a game that was compatible with consoles. At release the most powerful console had 0.5GB of RAM.
I love the style of Borderlands and cel-shaded games and actually modedd New Vegas to look like it
You're one of my favourite youtubers. Keep making the best elder scrolls content there is out here!
i don't understand why he keep saying that blocking isn't important, dude play that game at "legendary" mode (is the only way) you will see how important is to block lol
God, all those mods that require DAR are so appealing. I don’t have the patience to revert my game version just to do it, though, as I’d have to redo every other mod too..
This is highkey skyrim diss video
modder's skyrim is the modern jason's ship conundrum
The final score SpongeBob cut was great
Man is seriously criticizing the art of an 11 year old game.
I know that im abit late but Dragonborn Voice Over + Alternate Conversation Camera for that true convo experiance
"Skyrim is ugly" *proceeds to make Skyrim look abhorrent*
I'm playing skyrim rn and trying to do a similar thing, and wildcat is a godsend. I spend one minute fighting a regular enemy because both our health bars were so huge and we did no damage, so I upped my damage to 2x and enemies to 3.5, really made the game feel great.
I absolutely LOVE the borderlands 2 cell shading style
I've been playing too much Daggerfall. Those NPC's at some angles keep looking like paperdoll sprites for a brief second. It's freakin me out
Honestly it would be cool if someone were able to make a texture pack that turns NPCs into paperdolls, it'd match that lower resolution style
Personally I like the texture and lighting mods that make the characters look like painted in textures. I love the anatomy of races, with the painting textures is tops. True directional movement and smooth cam are the greatest gift to skyrim
Enbs can also inject new shader systems into your game, not just tweak existing shaders. For example, texture parallaxing.
It doesn't actually add parallax to Skyrim since it's already capable of it, just for whatever reason it doesn't use it.
The one thing that I really wanted in the game without mods was the option of being able to redo your houses because there's times when I'm not comfortable with the final layout
Finally, I can make Skyrim into a Shoddycast video🙏
When the sketchy middle man changes some of your answers on your homework and you end up with perfect scores
I'm so glad to see my irl friend's mod in this video, Kanj (not his real name obviously) is a good friend of mine and i sometimes give him mod ideas.
They aren't emulating dark souls, if anything their emulating how skyrim does difficulty. Playing dark souls you'll realize most enemies actually don't have much health.
As someone who's been playing skyrim for a decade, I've never seen so many terrible hot takes on skyrim in one video...
*walks up to a woman* “what’s wrong with this man’s face”
Bro turned it into a mobile game
By Azura, by Azura, by Azura! It's cantina he’s back
11:17 I can hear the shots being fired at DAR and felinsky XD
That Mario loading thing gave me hella nostalgia
The only reason I can no longer play vanilla skyrim is because of TK dodge lmao
Walking on slipperi rocks and get slipperi fall also raggdoll movement. Also saying "ouch" or this rocks sucks etc.
FYI: For DAR mod (Dynamic Animation Replacer) V1.1.0 Actually works for Skyrim SE 1.6.640 (the latest version)
wait what??? SKSE kept telling me it couldn't load it
@@TheCantinaChannel this is why we can’t take your mods videos seriously. You have no idea how to use the basic skses and their dependencies. You also use old combat mods that have been upgraded. MCO is better than CGO. Valravn is better than Wildcat.
"before it crashes to oblivion..." Hah i see what ya did there.
This made me wipe all my mods and attempt turning Skyrim into an 80's cartoon
Me who played Oblivion and Skyrim full 3rd person
