Great video! i'm honestly pretty excited with the patch, and want to jump back in. It was good to hear from you as a Zeta player, how you felt about her changes, because so many other players seem oddly incurious about her. She's one of my mains and i'm wanting to get back into playing her, seeing someone not dooming about her changes makes me feel better. Also, Vaseraga, my other main, seems like he's just in a *much* better place now. I really like Granblue- i like how impactful ultimate moves feel, and i even like how effective brave counter is. Overall, a game i didn't expect i'd enjoy just as much as Strive and SF6.
This patch in general was a BIG W for sure man. Zeta was top tier and cheap before with some absurd damage reward for easy things. Now she is in a good place, with some cool tools to play.

Why tf would they nerf ferry if not for balancing for scrubs? Actual insanity. Even the bullshit excuse they gave in place of the "skill gaps" line is obviously a lie since they went and further buffed a character they knew and admitted they thought was already strong. I hope they emergency patch them ASAP
never watched you before, and i loved this video. would love to see you do more videos showing off the rest of the casts buffs and nerfs. was a great, and big patch, and i enjoyed your knowledge, and visual representation of the changes. no big deal if you dont plan to or want to. just wanted to say something in case you were gauging fan interest
for kat, i think 5U always comboed from counterhit M normals. the faster startup buff lets you combo H normals/triple attack to 5U on crouching hit! you also can link cl.5M from the dash cancel in the corner. it also gives you a safe jump, so even if you're too far for 5L to combo you still get something for landing it. i'm not a high-level player so i might be wrong, but i think using the dash cancel wasn't optimal damage or oki before. because you get cl.5M now instead of cl.5L, it's optimal when you can route into it (i think). i really like this change because it makes poking so much more rewarding (which felt like a big pain point between 66L and fast ultimate skills). it lets her have more combo options under limited circumstances, which is really helpful since she only has 3 special moves but she doesn't have stuff like gran/djeeta's H DP that last a long time to help manage her cooldowns. i think routing into dash cancel helps with that, so it's nice that you're not giving up damage to do it anymore. 5U leveling up when you armor something is also really nice! it makes it more worth going for and i no longer have to worry about getting punished for forward dash canceling the followup when i armor something.
Great vid! I really do like the overall direction of the patch although the lack of brave counter changes really does feel like the only really glaring L. As much as the terror that Nier was, it does seem kind of excessive that she doesn't have access to raging strike when death is on cooldown. Seeing a lot of her punishes just be 5LLL or fL is pretty funny.
@@cothrone3651 Yeah she can't really threaten shimmy which is like 99% of the offense in this game because she can't move lol..... it's a pretty big handicap.
so happy with the Zeta changes, even though shes probably weaker compared to prepatch, this version is so much more fun and like you said, feels like what she was 'supposed' to play like from the beginning. iirc you've been more on 2B for tournament play, but I'd love to see that Zeta again
Ive legit only kept up this game whenever youtubers I watch cover it and getting on to grind battle pass. Im happy that people are happy with this patch as they've seemed to be controversial before this one iirc.
It’s a great patch but I’m mad as a Yuel player for what they did to her. Gonna switch to Beatrix to cope. I do wish they limited how many raging chains you can do in a combo just cuz how stupid it looks to me.
Dang, everyone said I was crazy when I said Zeta got a whole spear and got out poked by alot of the cast, i know im awful at the game but playing neutral with her didn't feel good. Now I feel like I have a bit more control in the neutral, but now she got new routes i gotta learn, Its gonna take a bit to get used to pogo giving me juggle lol
ive noticed alot of people confused about the jumping normal nerf. Why did people suddenly forget that jumping air to air in to full combo was a thing. you could legit get tod'd if a person jumped up and hit you mid air with a normal. THATS what that air nerf was for. It hit other aspects of the game only incidentally
Overall i think the current patch is great though i have heard that atm yuel and ferry mains aren't too happy with the changes. Personally ferry is fine atm while yuel i have seen a video of a youtuber whose been doing patch breakdowns for each and every character say: with the changes of stance attacks yuels entire pressure has changed to a high low mixup. I do feel that yuel should have some changes reverted

Coming from someone who dabbles in Belial, I really think people are overstating Belial's buffs. The best thing he got this patch by far was that the only nerf he received was to his unblockable, which, while good, wasn't used very often. All the buffs he has received are very situational or inconsequential. Probably the most tangible ones are the 236U and 214M buffs giving him some new routes, and the reduced recovery on 236M, which allows him to pick up air hits with it easier. The launch it received on grounded opponents doesn't seem optimal in almost any situation. Belial is a winner this patch not because he got a lot better, but because he basically stayed the same.
Don't make any sense Deez. He was already top tier. While the others top tiers received big nerfs he got some buffs. That was insane. No one are understanding that. We will see Belial's legion on tournaments.
Some stuff was good, some stuff was bad. Would have liked to see more meaningful nerfs to 66L in terms of how it impacts neutral, I think the movement forward / hitboxes are too good tbh where it tends to push out other neutral tools and makes the game kind of homogenous. I also think all neutral skips that give combo shoulda been made unsafe on block. Seems fairly obvious but they really didn't substantially nerf any of them. On top of it all, they gave Belial one of the best neutral skips in the game now with his new ult fireball, and he was already really strong, so I don't understand why he got so many buffs. Seems like they are scared of really nerfing anything because it drives players off, so they're trying to stick to just making the weaker characters better.
Man... what are u talking about? They nerfed, big nerf in many top tiers besides Belial (I really don't know why that). Nier, Sieg, Lance, Seox, Zeta... all received big nerfs. 66L is way better now, since the before patch and now reward isn't big anymore damage wise. The patch was a big W.

Thanks for the compliment! Granblue content can be hit or miss on UA-cam but I'd love to do more stuff for the game!

Aside from Versusia and Belial being intentionally OP to drive sales, this was a great patch.
The buff into battlepass into nerf pipeline is crazy

I dont think Versusia is broken, she has alot of strong tools but her dash is pretty bad. Which is much more of a hinderance than you’d think.

Ultimate skill nerf allow anre to play zoner focus, and his parry was made better so im happy to play anre. Not sure if i'll stick with it though.
