I loved the museum Serg, I am glad that they can discuss those subjects instead of pretending that it never happened. I would love to visit the Golden Triangle some time, spent 1 night in Chiang Rai nearly 30 years ago and have been wanting to return
learning a lot from the trip you done sofar , planning on december next year intoo januari so those places you visited are probably a lot busier as its high tourist season around that time
The cat was very cool, so many colors. I’ve got three more recorded and will probably end up recording at least another 4 to 6 before this trip is over.
Great video as usual Serg! It's not to bad out on the open roads with not much traffic in the rain. But in and around Bangkok in the rain is no fun at all!
Hi! Glad that your Honda ADV160 is able to ride throughout the country. The ADV350 looks too wide for congested traffic. This is way I am also interested in the ADV160.
Any of the scooters that are 350 cc or larger are just fat pigs. They’re fatter than a motorcycle. Not for me. I will be buying a 500 cc motorcycle soon though.
I brought some with me, but this is a cheap android phone that I bought strictly for navigation. I wouldn’t subject my iPhone to constant vibrations like this. Besides it’s water proof to rain so it’s ok.
Thanks for the video and that you still keep a smile on your face while it's raining like that :D Enjoy watching your vids while i'm also on a road trip, down south in Thailand atm from Rayong to Krabi :)
@@LifewithSerg Rayong is a chill spot for sure! If you’re still in Chiang Rai and want to see the biggest Buddha statue, where you can travel inside up to the head with an amazing interior, check out the "Guan Yin Statue".
Nice video Serg! I visited there about 10 years ago. The Laos side had a market that sold tourist stuff and nothing else, it has built up a lot since then!
Golden triangle looks much different from the time I was there. It's the year tsunami hit southern part of Thailand. It just happened that I visited the northern part instead of southern part of Thailand. Love to see your adventures because I can't ride a motorcycle in the rain!
Wait until you see the weather in the next video. Ha ha. It’s rainy season, so this is to be expected. I’m being very careful. Thank you for your support.
Hi Serg, glad to see you continue your adventure in Thailand again. Ride safety and bring us more cool video clips plz. Btw, how much did you pay for the hotel room in this vdo? 😊
a BIG JOB mate,,, when you took the wrong turn at that intersection,, i was scared them cars were going to blast off from the intersection and take you out. the driver outside Bangkok look a little more safety aware.
The driver is outside of Bangkok are OK in the towns, but get them on the mountain roads and they’re passing on the wrong side of the turn around corners, over blind crest of the hill, etc. Really horrible driving skills. Lol
I have been there during the dry season when the water level is very low. In some places there are very rough rocks protruding into the river. Sitting by the Mekong River drinking beer during sunset is a great memory.
Love your traveling videos! Just wish they were a bit longer, since your video releases are my highlight of the week. 😊 Btw I remember that you rented a pcx (160) on an island maybe koh Chang or something like that a while ago. What would you say is the biggest cons with the pcx (remember you didn’t like it) and the biggest pro’s with the ADV 160? Have a wonderful day. 🙏
I’m trying to put out a new video every three days on this trip, so I don’t wanna make them too long. You have a good memory. That was on Ko Samui about a year and a half ago the first day they had given me a click 160, then I had an ADV 150 for four days, and then they needed it back and they gave me a PCX. The PCX is ugly and extremely uncomfortable, in my opinion. The reason I really like the ADV, is because it’s as close to an adventure bike as you can get in a small scooter. It’s more of an upright riding position, it has an adjustable windscreen and wide bars. We all have different tastes. You should go and try at least sitting on these different bikes and see what works for you. There really is no right or wrong, it all depends upon your preferences.
@@LifewithSerg I totally get the idea of the length of the videos! I’ll watch them all as usual! 😊 I actually trust your judgement of bikes because I know that you are a real biker, and not just another UA-camr that just rent a scooter and don’t even got a driver’s license. Me myself have been driving for about 16 years. Soon to make the big step of moving to Thailand with my wife. I will definitely try some different bikes before buying. I also hate the looks of the pcx, but a lot of people love the “comfort” of it.
@ViVandrarVidare yeah I’ve been riding motorcycles for about 33 years. Lots of mistakes have been made during that time. Lol. I just don’t find the PCX comfortable, and I don’t like cruiser style motorcycles. If you move to Thailand, renting these bikes, super cheap. You could rent different ones for a couple days or a week and see if you like it.
The casinos on the Laos side are in the leased land from Laos to a Chinese so called drug lord, according to the West, for 99 years. It is designed to be Special Economic Zone. If you crossed to that side, the city will look closer to a Chinese city than Laotian town. They even use Chinese currency over there.
Hi Serg, loved the video. Not a fan of all that rain, mind you as I am writing this it is pouring where I live in Australia. What month was it when you filmed this ?
I am currently on this trip. So when you’re seeing the videos, they’re about 1 to 2 weeks behind. I’m gonna have about six or seven more from this trip. I have three more weeks to go.
I crossed over from there to Laos in 2004 on the same day the tsunami hit. No visa required and only a tiny village in Laos. Looks like it is really being built up now. Since I did not speak Thai I had no idea the tsunami had happened, I only remember someone saying something about a big wave. I would love to take a motorcycle ride up there someday.
@@LifewithSerg You are quite adventurous ridding that little motorbike all the way up there. Nice job, have fun. I will be in Thailand in December. Maybe bump into you.
Very cool to hear a farang calling LAOS how it really should be called LAO, well done Serg that's worth me hitting the subscribe button Now to continue watching the video
So many words are pronounced so different in different languages, but this is one that I definitely was aware of. Just like the names of things where I was born, Russia, they pronounced completely different way in English that they would be in Russian. Thanks for subscribing and enjoy the rest of the video.
about 40 years ago, some refugees were found to be growing Opium Poppies in a large patch next to I-5, (around Portland Oregon I think) when the cops raided the field the people said what do you mean we can't grow them we bought the seeds at the health food store.
Definitely appreciate this type of video about the difference parts of the country where especially no tourists doesn't want to go and visit. Instead d of staying in big cities and exploited the sex industry part of Thailand by alot of those from western countries
Long time ago in the 90s, I had a friend from the UK, who visited the G.T. He sat at a coffee shop. A Thai looking guy was sitting there as well. He asked him to join him, so he did. They chatted for a long time. Then the guy pulled his gun and showed it to him and let him handle it. After a while the guy left. The staff working at the shop came to my friend and told him if he knows the guy? He said nope. He told him that's Khun Sa. My friend said, he was going to crap in his pants when he heard that. Now, do you know who Khu Sa is? True story, unless my friend lied. He sounded genuine though.
