    That's not how you do a proper pancake. You are not supposed to touch the ground with your knees. Correct me if I'm wrong

      Yes but get the correct footwork and a good swing

      +Mr.Lethal Duck Exactly what Sweet Squishies said but you also have to make sure that you are optimizing your arm swing. Also, depending on how old you are, doing weights could be a good addition to your training in order to gain strength.

      And probably good to train your vertical anyway. I see many small players, often girls, who just don't bother with jumping. Since they always switch with others to block and don't jump to attack to begin with, they never actually jump for real. The problem is you won't ever jump higher if you never jump, and even if you don't reach above the net, jumping will still help you get stronger and better hits in. Especially as a small player you should work on your jump, because you depend on it much more than a taller player would. Sadly I often see tall players not jumping for real, because they probably think they don't need to push themselfs too much.
