When you are huge and have a big vert you can run a tandem with a back row player. I've played against a team like that, but never on a team that could do that.

I’m on my highschool team, and for our last tournament a team from a nearby town was hitting double tandems. It was so hard to read too. We lost by like 10 points lol.

It's fine, since every country sends the tallest to the national teams, it's okay to play on a lower net

@@juns5979 It's not as cool as it sounds, because I'm short, I need to use as much strength as possible in my leg to achieve what a tall person would achieve with an average jump.
In short, I'm dead in the second set.
when i was 14 yrs old i used to think that volley is for girls, after watching haikyuu i love volley is my favourite sport, im still 14 ;/
Update : now im 16 and i play for the team of my school , we won all the regional tournments , but im getting old fast
update : im now almost 18 yrs old , we lost for a team by 1 point , and thats about all , we are preparing for the next camps, i am indeed getting old fast.

Yeah it’s funny what you hear in Haikyuu is not at all what players say in real life. Instead of “chance ball” it’s “free ball”, instead of “nice kill” it’s “YYYEEEEEAaAUUUGGGHHHH!!!!!” Or something along the lines of that. We do say nice serve tho
We use nice serve usually in volleyball practice but the other terms for my team at least we never use at all

@@tonythetiger5029 The Setter usually sets faster for the middle blockers and the other front row hitters. They just wait a second longer to set the back row, or they'll give it a bit more height for the person hitting back row.
@@KaiyaLee if you look close, the ball stops mid air for a second just before the camera guy hits it, how does it slow to a stop without falling, almost like it hit a wall

Haikyuu makes the sport very interesting. I played for 5 years and ended as a setter. It’s a pretty repetitive sport (not on a bad way though).
As a libero I love when the ball comes to me as fast as possible. For me game becomes boring if it's not fast like this
True, I'm in the school volleyball team and we only get to play 3 matches and can score up to only 25 points during tournaments, it only lasts for a short time

All the Haikyu comments aside, it’s really interesting to see the sport played from the player’s perspective, especially for someone who hasn’t played volleyball. I kinda wanna see this in all kinds of other sports, getting a glimpse of what it’s like to do the warmup routines, the exercises and the actual game itself.
Ice Hockey is cool to watch when theres pov videos. Theres nothing better than skating

I started playing volleyball like a month ago. I don’t know for how long I’ll, but for now I really like it, and I hope one day I’ll be able to play like this.
I got the chills as I watched you guys do the warm-up, drills and practice play from start to finish. I miss playing in high school even though I didn't get along with my teammates. Volleyball has been one of the best memories I have. ♥️ Much love! 😊
