I can't find any doctor in South Africa who can perform this surgery.
My mother, my cousin, and I all have osteomas. I plan on seeing Dr. Shah to have mine removed. I am a Performing Artist and I feel very self-conscious with this little knot in the middle of my forehead. I tried to camouflage it with makeup, but the knot shows up in photos. Although it's not very large, I want to remedy this problem before it continues to grow bigger...
Have you done ?

Hi Dr anilsir any where in Quebec Montreal Canada if here can you send me location

Dr. Do you take insurance for partial payment?
Insurance (there are many different types) typically does not cover forehead osteoma and lipoma removal. Please check with your insurance by calling it and finding out your benefits and whether or not this is covered.
Do u have any branch in New York? R u plastic surgeon? Ty
I am a facial plastic surgeon ( a type of plastic surgeon whose practice focuses on the face). I do not have a branch in NY but many people virtual consult me and fly in and fly out same day for procedure. Thanks
Sir I have a head bump on my forehead in one year but it can't reduce so how can I reduce my head bump
Depends on bump for treatment
how much does it cost for the surgery
typically osteoma costs range depending on size but is around $2000 us dollars. most of the time this is done in an office OR setting and patients tolerate this procedure quite well. thanks
@@anilshahmd what stops them from growing back?
So this is common for many people??
it is fairly common and most patients will have a history of incidental trauma at least 5 years prior to the forehead bump.
sir i have two bumps on my forehead they are very hard as bone how can it be removed???/please reply
Shabbir Khan me 2
me too man
you first want to determine what kind of bumps are they. if the bumps are normal skull structures this requires skull reshaping and is a distinct procedure to smooth out the skull. if the bumps are osteomas or other structures such as lipomas, they can be removed with a limited hidden scar technique within the hairline.
Hi shabir bro have you done your surgery because i also have a same problem
@@anilshahmd hi doc, does it so expensive to undergo surgery for.removal.of osteoma?

Hello Dr. Shah!
Will the scar in the scalp go away completely by using some prescribed ointment or will it stay for life? Will it pain after the effect of anaesthesia is over?Any long-term side effects of this procedure that you know of?
Hidden scar since it is in hair.
@@anilshahmd Thank you for responding:)
@@shwetasama6567is it helped? Did your bump reduced by ointment?
Sir. is this kind of lumps causes any health problems if left unremoved..my mom has these kinds on forehead and over the head ..please let me know these are injurious or not to her health.
Typically these are slow growing (both fat based called lipoma and bone based called osteoma). Most of the time the main reason to remove is for cosmetic purposes. Best to have lump checked out by a physician
Hi where are you located?

NILESH PUSDEKAR Typically around 2k (usd)
NILESH PUSDEKAR is it insurance cover? R u plastic surgeon? Any branch in NewYork? Ty

I have a very large Osteoma and I’m seeing a platic Surgeon in 2 Days for it
Hopefully they will hide your scar in your scalp!!! The best way in my opinion.
Dr. Anil Shah
He went over top of the Osteoma, which I really don’t mind at all. I rather deal with a Visible scare then a ping pong ball size bone tumor like I have for the past 13 years.. thank you for commenting back . Just hope the swelling goes down soon
hope your healing is well!! we prefer the scarless approach but hope at least your bump was removed
@@ginaharmon4549 How are ur forehead today?? As you said is trade on, much better to living w/ a scar over than a ping pong ball
Hi Gina, did your osteoma ever grow back after removal?
