I solo healed it. Not at launch obviously. But they heard i was a good tree and asked if i could solo heal kara. So i said, i don't know... probably? (depends how stupid people are) Yep i could.
Man, this was my first raid when I was like 15. Did it with my guild and none of us knew the mechanics or anything. We just learned as we went along and it took us so long to clear the whole thing but damn was it satisfying :D
Classic raids were fun but simple, TBC raids had the missing part - they were interactive and fun. Like The Eye, you got those temporary weps. It was short raid but boy it was fun imo.
Hah holy shit I remember the raid leader back in the day wanted everybody to make a /demonchains macro and had to constantly say "GUYS DEMONCHAINS!" I was a healer at this point but I never understood why it was so hard to switch targets.
@@jurgenbuntinx1 unless they release the raids slowly. If memory serves me right, the eye was available on release or you need to complete SC first than BT and final SW. Also the troll 5man. How many will have bear mount first day of that release?

I miss my early raid days here cruising through with my guild's B team blasting music in Ventrillo and just having a blast. I can still recall my first night in here 14 years ago and wiping to Attumen in our dungeon blues and greens lol
My guild never knew about the Prince "bug" either, and I had a lot of anxiety looking at the sky while tanking to estimate where the internals would land.... So learning about this exploit 15 years late is super frustrating haha
I feel that shield comment. It wasn't a personal accomplishment, but a guild one. I remember raiding Trakanon in EQ2 around the same time and getting Stormbringer, Bulwark of the Unstoppable and it was just such a huge guild accomplishment.
My first guild raiding experience was in classic tbc in kharazan! That was the most fun I ever had playing wow. Shout out to my boys of the guild Tier Six on Sulfuras!
I would like to point out that in Legion, the warlock order hall has a bed surrounded on each side with succubi concubines and very comfy looking pillows. So not just TBC had those kind things ;3
Replace the warlock on Netherspite with a Spriest. Vampiric Embrace will make healing any other player unnecessary as it heals the raid and scales with the damage boost
Can remember that you could glitch from the terrace where you fight nightbane all the way up to Malchezaar - just great to skip all the shit you don't want to do :D
Fun tip for Moroes: If TBC classic hitbox are like TBC hitboxes, you can tank him facing away, but back into his hitbox until you can hit him.. Technically youll be able to hit him but you're not facing him, so you avoid his gouge. I don't remember if this prevents parries and dodges however. I was overgeared with my guild (Full sunwell patch badge gear, some ZA gear, no 25man content gear) and solo tanked him at that point.
Yeah I always thought Nightbane wasn't to bad. Prince Malchezaar was tougher for my guild. Didn't know about the whole safe spot thing back then at the time.
i remember when i raidlead that boss and was like "guys everything is pretty obivious but DONT BOVE WHEN THE FIRE STARTS" it was ME blowing up the raid cuz i usually jump between spells or down time as healer ... ye had a blast
i remember back in the days we just cleared Black temple and a week later there was a message about a russian? guild who cleared black temple with most t3 equip. So im 100% sure Karazahn is going to be a joke
Bow from prince was actually worse for dps than earlier weapons due to attack speed rotation. It was pretty good for season 1 pvp though before glad. weapon. Weapon speed is way more important than stats/dps for tbc hunter dps. Whoever said that bow is bis pre sunwell is on drugs. Gun from opera is rediculously good.
Recent theorycrafting is actually showing the bow to be better than the gun. But yeah its not bis till t6 but does look to be bis for phase 1. Originally 2.7 was believed to be the sweet spot but now its looking like 2.9 to 3.0 might actually be better. But we're on 2.4.3 so idk if that changed anything from original 2.0 release.
back in the day i was responsible for coordinating raid tactics(calling positions/dispels/purges etc) in a guild and was pretty much in every singe raid we did(mage character)...ONCE, in the Nightbane last phase when he came down, i got distracted for a few sec spamming scorch and pulled agro from the tank wiping my raid. i told them sorry i got distracted by something on the TV^^, big mistake >.> next day there was a full post of complains in the guild forums about how fcking irresponsible i was and that i didnt deserve t be in the raids etc how shocking that most complains were from "fellow" mages(we only had 1-2 mage spots in raids most of the time).got kicked out of the guild for that... ah the good ol days xD gave up on wow after that only to come back in Lich king. and dropping the game for good after killing Lich in a pub^^ Twisting Nether server EU 2009^^
I feel since I didn’t raid tier 2 or 3 that with the min maxing attitude I ain’t going to get into a raid, my only options is heroic gear once I have the rep and crafted items
Legion had artifact weapons? Didnt it? So no weapon drops except pure cosmetic, and I think think archimonde had a cosmetic weapon. edit: I remember one time I was so drunk on Malchezaar that I almost ran off the edge because I fell asleep.
In order to prevent Aran running OOM you need to interrupt his fireballs and NOT interrupt his arcane missiles. Also, Nightbane's fear can be LoS'd if you stand near the cornery part of the wall an run behind the corner as he starts casting.
@Front FlipsAsmon literally watched a video where he read all of this about tbc warriors which is why the OP made the original comment, those are not my words they are wowhead/icyveins words.
Our guild back then was a small non progress raiding guild, but we got server 1st nightbane pre nerf, because our tank was insane and countered the fear.. Those were the days

Spends 7 hours on Gruul without downing him lol.
Kharazan was my first ever raid... i was so struck with fear my first time as i had no clue what i was doing
Dude same. Hpala in cloth gear and the mace from Old Hillsbrad. I was stunned and mesmerised by the other guy who had the Maiden mace 😂
I was playing enhance shammy and went in with my 2h pvp axe :D.
I was tanking it first time not knowing what I am doing, it was terrible
Onyxia
5:28 Oh how well this has aged lol

Karazhan is hands down the best raid ever. It was where Blizzard started trying to innovate the raid experience.
I remember stance dancing nightbane. Not really that hard but still i found it challenging back then.
Having a priest healer was great for this as well, Fear Ward was the tits lol
Karazhan will be cleared first time in. Maybe not by casual guilds but those elitist guilds will one shot most bosses.
Thats why tbc will die after a month people get bored because its content already done ages ago

A wonderful raid for fury warriors. Keep your healer on their toes and: stand in the fire, dps higher.
West side story was on the west side of NY city if memory serves so yeah they had tons of murlocs.
LMAO 34:11 The last dude's name is in Finnish and it means "premature balding" That fits perfectly in an Asmongold video.
During the flight phase for Nightbane, a paladin can use BoP on whoever is targeted by Rain of Bones.
Karazhan was amazing, one of my favourite raids in wow.
Kara gear has all the Hit rating stat for like... the whole expac.
I remember a friend of mine's guild got stuck at chess one week, so we went in 3 man and just did it and took the loot
My guild always ran 1 pally or druid tank, myself healing on a troll shaman, and 8 dps.
For reasons I've never had answered, my mage was given the Gorehowl drop off the last boss when I did this with my guild.

Here before the bald man reacts.
And boosts his ass.
Omg, I haven't played WoW for a long, long time, but I started properly with raiding in TBC, this brings so many memories...
I got both Midnight and Onyxia on the same day, July 4th 2015. 'Merica! Ill never forget that.
I rerolled from a warlock to a shadow priest for an extra shackle. Vamp touch was so nice for mana in TBC.
Kara was the raid my guild did on Friday night to F! Around, it was a prerequist that all raiders be drunk IRL prior to commencing.
Replace the warlock on Netherspite with a Spriest. Vampiric Embrace will make healing any other player unnecessary as it heals the raid and scales with the damage boost

Nobody ever talks about the lootable books for buffs and boosts for dps and healing. 🤨
I used to tank be prince in the doorway so the raid had to move around and I didn’t. As the tank I couldn’t see shit bit his shins

karazhan was the best raid ever. and a big part of why tbc was the best expansion ever.
Why wasn't the lights justice mace in the drop list for prince? Was it added in a later patch?

It was only a good caster trinket until they put in the 2.5 sec cd on gaining a charge. That made it trash for pve.
