Thank you for making this video. I sure hope mine don't have internal leak. After I did the oil change I will keep eye out on the oil level and see. But when I had the car up in the air and belly pan off I looked around the turbo and the oil filter and drain plug but everything underneath is bone dry
@@FordBossMe thanks for making the video i was talking about for the driver seat c3052 is on the driver seat I was wondering what that power up since I'm missing that connector on the body of the car. No worries I will keep looking into it . thanks for all your help. You have good night
I just swap my turbo I have a 2014 ford fushion 1.5 but smoke is coming out and I already check all the lines and everything. What would you think is the problem ? Maybe oil that the turbo got stain with and burning ?
Hey huge fan of the channel . As a experienced and trusted ford mechanic how often should you change your transmission fluid ? . I bought a used 2018 fusion SE last month it had 24,000 miles on it . Ive put a couple thousand miles on it and am starting to notice it's not as smooth as before . I've heard so maylny suggestions . But trust your opinion more then any .
@@FordBossMe thank you ! Going to set up an appointment now . To bad you don't live closer lol . Thanks for the response ! Take care and keep up the good work
Please,if you replace new modification short block you use old return pipe tubo oil or have to use a new modification pipe?In turboat your video was a lot of oil that is a main problem IC body is full of oil from turbo.Have you some expirience with new block and look at to Intercoler? Is there oil or not???
You have to keep looking through my library man I have so many videos on this and showing you everything you only see one video and you're asking questions you need to go look at the other videos also
Yeah the cleaner the burn the better off you're going to be using good top tier fuel - no crap fuel stations better service intervals with oil changes So adding a catch can to your PCV system is going to catch that oil in the air and separate it and leave in the can so it's not getting burned in the motor Cokeing and caking everything up
Do you always drop the engine to replace a turbo on the 1.5L or did you do it to simplify the video? Is it easier to do with the engine/trans still in the car?
I was doing work on this car that's why more than just a turbo you don't have to pull the engine for that you just have to pull the CV axle out of the way and I think the catalytic converter
So just throwing this out there. I had a bunch of oil going through my intake and turbo. I just replaced the turbo and the valve cover gasket. I started the car and it was smoking out of the engine. Should I be concerned? ( there could have been gas, oil, or coolant that spoiled on the motor during this job. )
@@FordBossMe so after replacing the turbo and replacing some other things, like the valve cover gasket, or the oil lines for the turbo. You have any suggestions on why this is still pushing oil through the exhaust, at a large amount? The turbo was "certified used" and they claim they guarantee it works. (Which that could be the problem but I have blind faith that this new part hasn't failed. I think it only had 60k miles on it. Which means nothing if the previous owner rode the car hard.)
Even on my old forge back in the 80s and 90s was metric I did hear back in the 80s I think there was a time where you could find both standard and Metric but that's not the case
Hi, I have a question on the motor. I have a P0087 and a P06A6. I replaced the high pressure fuel pump and the low pressure sensor and still have the issue. Its a fusion 1.5 2018. Car has 140k. Have u had this issue @fordbossme
My apologies my reader said P0087 or code $07E7 Fuel rail/system pressure too low and P06A6 or $07E8 DTC Definitions not found please refer to vehicle service manual. A small wrench comes up on the dash and says see manual. I looked at the manual and it says powertrain fault. . @@FordBossMe

would change the fluid in these about every 30,000 miles to be honest

Yes there is a lot of oil in the intake manifold where the intercooler goes in the intake manifold that is normal
Is there any way to help keep the carbon build up from building up ? And does the fuel induction service from ford help ? Thanks for the video

Smoke coming from the back of the motor is normal after turbo install it goes away after its burned of residual oil

Damn bro, how long would you say it would take an at-home mechanic with reasonable skill to pull the engine to even BEGIN this service?
I mean you could probably have the engine pulled in five or six hour
I have a 2019 Ford Fusion with the 1.5 can I change it to a bottom mount intercooler
I don't mess with the modification side honestly so I wouldn't know
how much do you see get charged for a turbo replacement on a 1.5l fusion?
6hrs ish
Is there any way to put a bigger turbo in it, or would it not go back together
There is room but this motor has coolant loss issues I wouldn't
So my fusion is producing low boost could the vacuum hose be a problem as to why
The solenoid on the turbo or on top of the valve cover sometimes that's the reason why or most of the time it is
Or the valve on the turbo that I show in this video flapping around bleeding off boost
This possible when engine is still in the chassis?
Of course
Is the turbo usually that clean
Yes
@@FordBossMe when I took my turbo off it has oil and sand grain , the other side has a light carbon build up
Was Ford always metric? Or became so recently?
