Hi Vikram, is there a way I can get in touch with you? I absolutely love this album and had a couple of questions regarding this which you may able to help me with.
its interesting how discogs says suddenly that "obscure by degrees" is a band formed by two indian immigrants. while the reality is that it was a british guy creating "a woman like you" in 1981 and the indian dudes just made an edit with indian lyrics in 1985. there was definitely a connection between the artists i suspect because otherwise they wouldnt have gotten the instrumental vesion for their edit. also there is more hints like tha poor vocal quality the bad timing , the feeling of it just put over a finished track. 2nd that there are 0 changes to the whole instrumental. one would suspect if its the same artist that he at least do it properly for the version of his "home country".
amazing!! Love both version
Proud of my Mum and Dad
