@CapeCoop So sorry to hear this news. I have 2 close friends battling cancer right now. I hate that more than "the kids". Thank you for raising your child to have good taste in music. I truly believe in the good music = good people theory. Best Wishes
What's even funnier is I got the impression Kraftwerk (Live) is *not* playing the album straight thru in its entirety. Rather, someone will push PLAY on the CD while "special 3d imagery" is shown, then, after the album is over, then, will (ralf) and 3 other guys with masks on, will come out and do about 6 minutes of improv.
There was a much better one of these in which he was complaining about the Catalogue box set not including the first three albums or any unreleased tracks. I can't find it anymore. I know a lot of these got taken down for copyright infringement but does anyone know where I could find it?
Saw them in Austin last year,,, kraftwerk is 40 yrs old,,, and they are still melting down ticket servers. The ONLY reason I got tix. Is because I went "old school" and used the telephone line ✌️😉😎. How fitting !
EC/ TP was 1986, yes. But I think the answer is a Synclavier.. which had a built in FM synth. But I still LOL. This is great- was amazing before the shows and sadly very accurate after the shows.
@thestatueofdavid Electric Café is the ninth studio album by the electronic group Kraftwerk, originally released in 1986. In October 2009 it was re-released under its original working title, Techno Pop.
I absolutely love this...I couldn't even get tickets to the MOMA show....but to be fair, the DX7 was released in '83, and TECHNO POP was released in '81. But, still absolutely awesome. Great job!
@billysay10 I'm unable to go, end stage cancer, you know how it is. I'm sending my 22 year old who adores them, first band she ever saw live in fact. Glad you're not in charge of ticketing this go around, although usually I'd agree with you.
I could not get any tickets at all. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. Dam you ShowClix & MoMA !
I've never seen a bad one of these "Hitler" videos. Are they all done by the same genius? This is amazing, but I think the prog rock one is my all-time fave.
Bollocks. Techno Pop was never released at all. Computer World came out in 1981, and the only product of the Techno Pop sessions to ever be released was the Tour De France single in '83. Electric Cafe was rejigged (the 7" version of Telephone Call replaced the album cut and a horrible remix of it by Francois K was added) and renamed Technopop for the Die Katalog box set in, what, 2008?
@billysay10 I've had a great life, no fear here! Cancer is inevitable as we all live under the rule of Monsanto. Go fruitarian for a longer life- that is my advice to the world.
Thats not funny, if you are german, for several reasons... Would be easier if someone dubbed it to make the spoken words fit to the english subtitels. Something really funny Kraftwerk Comedy Stuff? Search for "Kraftwerk Sitcom" on YT
the first mock video (whichever that might have been) of the Hitler scene was funny. The second, less so. Now it's plain ridiculous and boring. Besides, shame on us to indulge in this rubbish.
david buckley wrote something about this video in his book about kraftwerk.
congratulations!
awesome! I didn't know that
+CosmoCortney that's what makes me watch it
Thats Also why im here
Grew up listening to this and I've been inspired ever since to try and be as unique. Totally creative music that needs to be continuously heard !!!!
lmfaoo "don't worry, you will still have a good time at Bjork" XD
Ironic that Karl Bartos isn't given any credit for 'The Mix' show as he basically did the while remix album himself (google it)

chefprov But did you give them your affection and time
Was shown this in a lecture today during an intermission. The whole class were in hysterics.
More importantly, how could you predict the ticket shortage five days before they went on sale?

I agree, I also love electric cafe

I am glad I was able to see the show.
This is great! I've seen kraftwerk 3 times with 10 years apart. Don't thing I'll get tickets tomorrow though .
Hilarious. In under 4 minutes he manages to deconstruct every New York area pretentious art-hipster indie scenester trope. Brilliant!
can you make another one about the queuing system please......
@billysay10 I'm unable to go, end stage cancer, you know how it is. I'm sending my 22 year old who adores them, first band she ever saw live in fact. Glad you're not in charge of ticketing this go around, although usually I'd agree with you.
Yep this is so spot on... perfect. (apart from the technical stuff of course)
The subtitles are brilliant and so true!
Not to mention the NYU Undergraduates, like lightning they strike.
"...WHOSE REAL FANS ARE HERDED AROUND LIKE CATTLE."
classic! looks like I need to check out the techno pop album.
I could not get any tickets at all. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. You are waiting in the Queue. Dam you ShowClix & MoMA !
" a sea of sniveling man children taking instagram photos.." ROFL.So funny and sadly accurate!
The best use of this scene, ever hahahaha
"You two will still have a good time at Bjork" was the coup de grâce. Hilarious.
a good time at bjork killed me god damn, greetings from argentina 2023, they're coming in may yay
where is the bunker scene where Hitler says or i'll break your legs ????
This is, by far, one of the best meme's I've ever seen.
My then girlfriend, now wife, worked at the MoMA. We still could not get tickets or a way to sneak in to any of the gigs! Not one.
@wizardishungry Bahh, I was thinking of Computerworld. You're right. Props.
yup, looks about right... Crashed twice and now it still says "You are waiting in the Queue" There is no way! This is worse that TicketMaster!!!
Bo, I am very familiar with the politics of the "kosmiche" music scene and did this firmly tongue in cheek.
this is "soutoukakka series" in Japan :D
I confused Passion Pit & Underworld once and now I'm confusing MoMa and the Met. :(
@MylaLonelySoul
what the hell is, or are, these links??>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I've never seen a bad one of these "Hitler" videos. Are they all done by the same genius? This is amazing, but I think the prog rock one is my all-time fave.
All these years I think this is the only Hitler reacts video that touched my heart ;w;
Synclavier preset is correct.... By the way: tip for any viewer who knows German: this clip is best watched with the audio on mute.
To be fair: TECHNO POP was released in '81, but Hitler loved it in '45! :-)
I feel for you mister hitler, I didn't get any tickets either. What we want is a world tour! And a new album!!
How much do you think I could sell my extra ticket to man machine for?
Great work, you nailed it! Thanks for the laugh.
I can read English so I can tell the actors are saying the wrong words.
this is frickin' brilliant!!
are they playing argentina? he could see them there ;-)
brilliant, thank you.
Best subtitling ever!

Yep.
I PRAY TO GOD RALF HÜTTER SEES THIS.
Absolutely brilliant :)
Same awfulness over Jesus Lizard tickets, I was sure someone would have done a Hilter Reacts parody on that one.
this is somehow difficult to watch since i'm native german
Brilliant

You and me both Adolf, you and me both...

@billysay10 I've had a great life, no fear here! Cancer is inevitable as we all live under the rule of Monsanto. Go fruitarian for a longer life- that is my advice to the world.
